Location
The entertainment was quite good although we went out most nights to the Capitan a small bar across the road with a happy hour. The drinks in this bar are cheap anyway so the happy hour is a bonus.
The food in the hotel was good with lots of choice, what lets the hotel down in our opinion is the fact that the restaurant could be better organised, things ran out and took time to be replaced and we hardly ever had any plates/dishes removed throughout each meal, the table ended up cluttered with plates from starter through to desert, but the food was nice with plenty of choice. I would definately recommend this hotel.

The food was excellent, we really couldn't fault the service in the restaurant or the quality of the food, although the deserts were pretty much the same every day.
Whether you are in a couple, have kids, young or old, there is something for everyone at this hotel.
The beach is a 2 min walk and you can rent 2 beds and a parasol for 7.50 Euros a day.It can get very windy on the beach, bearing in mind it is the windy isle.
Entertainment at the hotel was suppose to be the best than any other Hotel, we didn't stay in the hotel of an evening much as we found a bar over the road which had happy hour 8.30pm-10.30pm buy one drink get one free, good value for money!!
The resort is clean, and there is plenty to do for all types of party. It is quieter than the other islands, but there are plenty of bars to keep you entertained.
You do hear aircraft flying over as the airport is only 10 mins away, but apart from the busy days (Weds & Sat) they
hardly bothered us. Great to sit and watch them come in over the beach and around the pool in the daytime, but no flights at night.
We would recommend this holiday to anyone, Fuerteventura is a great Island and Caleta ideal for a perfect relaxing holiday, no hesitation in going back again whatsoever.

Hotel was right on the beach, small town, safe for the children (two 12, one 15).
Before travelling some worries about 'Butlins' (yes I have been there)type entertainment. There was no need there was something for everyone.

There was a good variety of food in the Restaurant but it was never hot and had to be heated in the microwave. There were too few staff in the restaurant and so the tables were not cleared and relaid quickly enough for the amount of people using it, we went at various times but it was always crowded. I think they need 2 restaurants at least.
I can't really comment on the entertainment as every night when we got there after dinner it was full, often with people from other hotels, I think there should be a voucher system for entry to Hotel guests before others are let in.
I have complained to Barcelo but have not had any reply!

Food was great, lots of variety to suit all tastes.
Hotel is located in an ideal position with the local amenities close by.
Hotel staff good but could do with more staff.

Booked through Security Travel both times. Excellent rates. Contacted the hotel via e-mail and arranged to book into the same room as we had in 2002, it was ideal, ground floor next to the pool. Food always hot and plentiful. Choice of hot or continental breakfast. Champagne at breakfast too. Lunch available either from pool restaurant or in main buffet restaurant. Evening meals in main buffet restaurant. Went half board 1st year, but last year upgraded with the hotel to all inclusive. This was a great saving, especially with 2 x 16 year old teenage boys. The resort is safe. Through the gardens you leave through a locked gate (use your roomkey) to the promenade and beach, and from the front of the hotel, turn immediately left and you are in the shopping centre. Take a night out and enjoy the italian in the square, superb pasta. Also visit the Dome pub, couple of great english people run it, and if you get chatty enough they'll let you watch want you want on Sky TV while you're having a drink. Great Blues bar in the centre of the commercial area, make great cocktails. However, drinks generally cheaper in the Hotel than elsewhere, but if, like my husband you like a decent pint, then you must head for the Dome. Always find it difficult to find a hotel that suits all, that's us and the boys, but this one certainly does. Evening entertainment great, the shows that are the best are the ones put on by the Hotel's own animacion team. If you are intending to visit this splendid, clean hotel, ensure you make friends with the waiter Mario, tip him early on in the holiday, and you will find him most attentive. Oh, also take a trip to Puerto de la Rosario if you want to buy some good quality cheap clothes. Although it's the capital, you have to search for the shops, but the boutiques when you do find them are great - great prices too - make sure you leave 1/2 suitcase free for the goodies you take back. Am really finding it difficult to find a location this year to match up to the Barcelo Fuerteventura.

The location is also great just walk out of the hotel onto the beach what more could you ask for.
The staff were very friendly and the entertainment next to none.
We used to go for our dinner then go for a walk to the habour at night time or go for a round of crazy golf then go back for the entainment.
The two very large swimming pools were very clean and warm. I would have no problem going back there again.
The holiday in our opinion was worth every penny.
