We stayed on the Hotel Oasis Dunas witch was a very enjoyable stay. Our rooms had a tv,safey depsit box, dining area, bathroom whis was very large (and kept very clean)and a separte bedroom whtch had 2 beds wardrobe and a dressing table.

The entertainment was extremely good it was non stop during the day and at night great for kids of all ages and eaven the adults could have a giggle or two but if you are just a cople with no kids there is a bar whitch has pool, darts and a massive tv and also every second Friday there is karoke, bingo and a quiz!

For the teenagers who arent interested in the entertainment at night there is an internet cafe jsut above the reception.

The hotel staff couldnt help anymore they were fantastic.

The location the hotel is in in great right next to the water park, beach pubs and bars and shops !

Myself my partner and our two children stayed at the oasis dunas for 2wks in july 2004 on a self catering basis. We had a one bedroom apartment which we found to be very small compared to where he had stayed in previous years. The curtains were hanging of their hooks in the lounge and bedroom which was annoying when you pulled them aand they fell down. It was fairly clean and the maids did come round 5 days a week to clean floors and the bathroom, they changed the towels about 3 times a week and the sheets about the same. We were not very impressed with the apartment itself as the bathroom was almost in the kitchen and it had no fan for ventilation or no window so you can imagine the smell!!!. The complex itself was very nice the pools very big and they were cleaned out everyday. They were salt water pools so it took the kids a couple of days to get used to them as they did not like the salt water taste in their mouth. We found the staff at the pool side restaurant very rude and not nice at all. The reception staff were very nice and very heplful and if you needed something done they would see to it straight away. We ate out at the restaurant on site on only one occassion and it was not very nice, i would not recommend having the tuna steak or salmon. The hotel location was not to far away from the main town it was quite a nice walk. The entertainment was not up to much, but the children enjoyed the mini disco and pool table. The airtours reps could not sing though. I would not visit this hotel again as i do like to go to different places and i found the room to be a bit small and basic. The pool area was lovely though and did look lovely at night.

You had to chase the maids for clean towels and they where a bit shy on changing the beds once in 2 weeks and that was after asking.
The woman next door had to strip her beds and take them to the maid and she gave her clean ones however did not offer to make them up she did this herself.

The pool bar staff where ignorant and you could have sat there all day waiting to be served my husband actually went up to the counter and was told to sit down and he would be served this did not happen and we ended up getting up and walking away.

The reception staff where more helpful. The rooms were dowdy and it was very dark we were on the ground and asked for a change of apartment however had 2 bedroom apartment and they advised all the first floor 2 bedrooms where taken up till the day we left.

The rooms where very hot and stuffing we hired a fan however this was no help.

The best part of out holiday was when we spent the weekend in lanzarote in the San Antonio hotel I was in heaven and did not want to return.

This holiday cost just under

We stayed at the Oasis in January 04, June 04 and plan to go Sept 05. There is nothing we can say bad about the complex the staff are helpful and pleasant the reps are really nice.

The rooms we have been allocated have always been clean with regular maid service.

The pool area is clean with plenty of sun beds not too crowded and the pool snack bar serves great snacks at reasonable prices.

The supermarket is a bit more expensive than the Netto in the town but it has a good selection and is convenient if you don't fancy the walk.

We went self catering at the Oasis Dunas and after reading the reports about the hotel before it was renovated I was really worried it was going to be a nightmare!

Fortunately I was proved wrong and the hotel was lovely. The front of the hotel is really nice with a couple of massive palm trees in the centre of the car park which are all lit up at night, and loads of cactii around the sides.

The pool is gorgeous, especially at night when its also lit up, and massive too! The hotel is set in its own gardens full of palm trees, cactii and tropical flowers.

The room was very clean, and fresh, as was the bathroom. The staff were friendly enough. We only ate in the Tucan restuarant (in the hotel) once. The food was OK but not the best and if its windy or cold outside then don't try to seek shelter in there because there's a massive hole in the roof for a tree to stick out of and it will be just as cold, and only slightly less windy than outside.

We didn't really stick around for any entertainment as it's not our kind of thing. Seemed to be a lot of bingo and lots for younger kids.

I wouldn't go again but only because as a rule I like to go different places every time I go on holiday.

DONT BE PUT OFF BY PAST REPORTS ON THIS HOTEL, ITS NOTHING LIKE THAT NOW.

There is, as the the other reports say though, a cockrel that wanders around the gardens, and a couple of families of chickens but they are harmless and quite nice to have around.

Oasis Dunas Aparthotel was in an excellent location, only a 10 minute walk to the shops/restaurants and beach.

We found the rooms very clean. Bedding was changed once and towels three times during the week. When asked we were provided with extra pillows. When we arrived a window lock wasn't working and a bulb had gone. We told reception and it was promptly fixed. The beds were clean and comfy.

We were self catering so did not eat on site. We found their own supermarket more expensive than Netto a few minutes walk away.

The pools were just like the pictures in the brochure, big, clean and surrounded by palm trees and cactus plants. In march we were always able to find a lilo, in fact there were some spare.

We didn't bother with the entertainment as we went out each night for a meal. So cannot really comment. Seemed quite a bit for the children. Also Sky for the footy addicts. Must confess we did watch liverpool match one day.

I would recommend this complex to couples and families but would not go back there myself. (Only because we will go to a different island next year).

If we ever went back to Corralejo I would happily stay here

We found the Oasis Dunas in Correlajo clean, tidy, friendly and well appointed. The gardens and pool area were beautifully tended.

The beds were clean and comfy.
An extra pillow was provided on request. We were able to keep our room on for a small charge at the end of our stay so that we could shower before leaving.

The supermarket staff were particularly pleasant - always a smile. Linen was changed once in our week and towels three times. The towels were a little tired but then we noticed a lot of residents using their towels by the pool side and yet they would probably be the first to complain.

People cause litter - cigarette stubs were seen to be just dropped - and then they moan. Anyway the staff were very good at keeping things clean. We loved the chickens - they ate the ants!!!!! We did find the complex a little large for our taste but would go there again.

What a fantastic 2 weeks!

This apartment complex was the perfect choice for all 3 of us. We had all the time in the world to relax as Hannah, 9, was catered for from 10am until 9pm by the excellent entertainment staff. We only saw her briefly as she ran past us from shove halfpenny to water polo to volleyball. She had the time of her life.

The room was kept exceptionally clean, even by my own fussy standards, with not a single cochroach seen by any of us during the 2 weeks.

A pleasant 5 minute walk away was the main town with it's many wonderful restaurants. We ate chinese, italian, mexican and of course steaks. Not a single meal was a bad one.

The beaches in Corralejo town were fabulous, and a trip out to the sand dunes is a must.

We are planning anohter visit to Oasis Dunas next year. Highly recommended!!

We have been to this place 3 times and have to say it is fantastic,we do tend to go in the winter months when the apartments are not packed.

The place is very clean, the pools are v.big and u never struggle for a sun lounger.

There is exellent entertainment for the children as well as the adults volleyball, treasure hunts etc, there are also two parks and very big playroom for the children.

The location of the hotel is about a five min walk to town were there are great bars and resturants plus a couple of fun parks for the kids with bouncy castles etc. Directly in front of the hotel is a brand new water park which is excellent.

This complex is excellent for families
