agree with Sally, A very very nice Hotel - but a bit isolated.
No shops near and the hotel shop not ready yet. Taxi to shops or the main Maspalomas beach 2 Euros so stock up with water etc
Staff friendly and helpful
Food very good (the house white and red wines are good and very reasonable)
Lunch a bit of a scramble at the pool bar - Size and menu limited for such a large hotel
Beach a short walk - access from hotel rear door using hotel room keycard.
A nice walk along the beach prominade to Maspalomas Beachfront 20 - 30 mins.
Entertainment - Take a Taxi to Playa del Inges

Just returned from this hotel. The rooms and public rooms are very comfortable, the pool terraces are nice and spacious and the hotel is quite an unusual imaginative design but I am afraid that I disagree with previous comments about the food and the restaurant.
The food was very poor and usually involved waiting a long time for food to be cooked and then waiting for serving dishes to be filled up and it was impossible to get anything hot! Service was no where near 5 star and the food was not appetising and the selection was poor. We were not on our own with this opinion many people were complaining about walking round and round the buffet looking for things. you had to ask the waiters to top up empty dishes. Meals were an ordeal. An elderly couple were there when we were and it was heartbreaking watching them walking up and down, round and round looking for food.
The waiter in the bar told us that in 4 months they had had 3 different head chefs. The pool bar was no better you had to wait a long time to be served and the food was not very good.
We were so disappointed that we booked in at the Riu Meloneras Palace for evening meal and changed our board to bed and breakfast. They gave us a reduction of 5 euros and were not at all interested in our complaints about the food in fact they were very rude and did not offer to fetch the manager or find out any details about our complaint!
The food at the Riu Meloneras Palace was fantastic and the service was second to none it was worth paying the extra money to avoid the endurance of the restaurant.
To be a 5 star hotel you have to offer excellent service and food. I am afraid that H10 Meloneras Palace falls short of this. We have visited the H10 Timanfaya Palace many times and the food there is always good so this was a big disappointment to us

This is a wonderful hotel, I rate as follows:
Rooms - 100% very clean and bed is Very big
Staff - 100% every member of staff whatever grade is
friendly and helpful, most speak a little
english
Food - 100% Something for every taste at every meal,
buffet service.
Pool = 100% Very clean, water cold but welcome as it
is HOT HOT HOT there
Entertainment - minus 100% the only drawback, both daytime and evening entertainement is poor. Take a good book.....or drink alot so you do not care!!!!!!!
Yes there is building work but it is not obtrusive, shops are not complete and nearest ones are a long walk away. No 'cheap' souvenier shops only up market
ones. Beach - forget it!!!!! part of the building site.
Anyone not enjoying there holiday here has a problem.
Children especially welcome - but not annoying.
Not too many English, mainly Spanish and a few Germans.
but they do not grab the sunbeds, there are enough for
all
