Location
Never any problems getting a sunbed as the pool attendant would not allow it until he had finished cleaning the pool area which was normally about 9am. The apartments are well enough equipped although we always ate out so never really used them.
The views across Amadores beach are stunning and I believe every room has a sea view! We were allocated room 204 in Block A which was directly above the on site supermarket which opens at 8am every day.
Awoken a few times by drilling which was coming from a new block of apartments which are busy getting built not far from the Mirador.
The beautiful beach is only a 5 minute stroll away, Puerto Rico only a 20 minute walk along the clifftop path which has some stunning views. Adequate places to dine down on Amadores beach.
The London Pride for your all English breakfast (4 euros for small + a drink and 5 euros for large) and other all English classics like shepherds pie, bangers and mash etc etc.
Dolce la Vista is a superb Italian restaurant which we went to twice, Steak, Pastas and Pizzas all superb and good value. Back at the complex Beccy the entertainer worked hard with the kids who all seemed to want to be her little helpers!
The hotel is quite expensive for drinks and eating in although I did hear the BBQ night was good value for money. 2 happy hours a day at 4pm and 9pm although there always only seemed to be 1 waiter serving during these busy times, and the beer often went off??
Overall we made some good friends and had a great time. would we go back? 100% YES. Sooner rather than later. Happy Holidays!

When waking the following morning it came clear as to where we were postioned, about 5 mins walk down to the beach.
The hotel layout was perfect with all rooms at least having a good sea view, some having a beach and/ or pool view too. Lifts to all floors were postioned well and rooms easy to find. Reception was well looked after and the staff would help in anyway possible. A small shop on site was well stocked and reasonable on price (other hotels seem to hike the prices up too much).
The apartment was larger than others we have stayed at and was very clean. We only stay in self catering for the extra space rather than a hotel, but if I was to start cooking meals I would have found the cooker and utensils not adequate enough.
Taxis have to be asked for at reception and a number given, as too many people were 'jumping' taxis that turned up on the off chance - no problem as they turned up very quickly.
Good bus stop to Mogan and Puerto Rico only a few hundred yards away. Taxis to Europa Centre only 2.5

The entertainment was good they catered for all the family, danny did a great job the kids loved him.
the rooms were ceaned every other day and the towels were changed every day, which you very rarely find.
the apartments were of a good size and had everything you needed.
The restaurants down on the beach were great as you could have your meal and the kids could play on the sand if they got bored.
The 2 weeks we were there we met some great people and exchanged numbers and addresses meeting these people topped of our holiday. our daughter did not want to come home, she enjoyed it that much we are trying to book for next year.

ACCOMMODATION -
Mirador del Atlantico - our 2 bedroom apt was in Block B which is probably one of the best blocks in terms of the fantastic view over the beach and bay, as well as being away from the noise of the pool and entertainment if you have young kids who need a sleep through the day. We were lucky to get a terraced apt, which had a bit more floorspace on the balcony area by comparison to the apts above us, but all the apts appeared to be roomy enough and well maintained in terms of appearance, repairs, wear and tear, etc, and any reported problems were dealt with quickly by their own maintenace men. They have all the mod cons - kettle, toaster, microwave, fridge, 2 ring hob, safety deposit box, pay to view TV, shower(no bath Note). Most of the apts have a seaview, but not all of them. The only possible downside to the accommodation is that Block B also overlooks the main road between Puerto Rico, Amadores, Playa del Cura, Puerto Mogan, and while you were aware of some traffic noise during the day when on the balcony terrace during the day, at night there was very little.(being a country boy, I maybe noticed it more...)
FACILITIES - there is a small but well stocked mini market on site with lots of recognisable brand names if you want to do the whole self catering thing and cook/eat in the apartments. There is a small arcade area for kids/teenagers, internet access(pay as you go) which was popular with teenagers. There is a large free form pool, a smaller toddler pool and an outdoor jacuzzi. There is a playground area with rubber surface at ground level and is well maintained, there is also a play area specifically for under 3's as well, again rubber flooring and well maintained, there is also mini golf, numerous pool tables, a table tennis table, a basic gym(it's okay and you can get a reasonable workout in there), a sauna, laundry facility. There are ample sunbeds and parasols, but we seem to have adopted the German trait of reserving sunbeds early in the morning, so you either get up and do the same or make do with whatever is left...... The pool and surrounding sun terraces are cleaned and scrubbed every morning by Paco and his amazing machine(just don't try to lay out any sunbeds before he's finished!!!!)
Restaurant has a different theme every day and special offers as well. The food is of a good standard and we sampled it a few times and can vouch for that(especially since my wife used to be catering manageress and is particular with food hygiene)
ENTERTAINMENT -
This for me is the thing which really makes the Mirador a very popular location since there seemed to be a lot of people who have been coming back time after time, and no wonder. Having seen one or two negative comments on this site regarding nothing to do for kids, I had to wonder if they were at the same location, since I don't think I have ever been anywhere where the entertainment catered for everyone virtually all day - unless these parents maybe expected the entertainers to babysit their kids for them the whole day...........
Becky who has taken over the entertainment programme from Gary in the last few months does an amazing job from 12 noon onwards, providing a variety of games, activities and fun. Our 2 girls(5 & 7) thoroughly enjoyed all the activities as did I, and they are geared up so that people of any age or ability can take part, ranging from mini golf, killer pool, archery, french bowls, skittles, etc. She also does aqua aerobics, water polo, bingo, quizzes, etc. All of this was on a volutary basis and she did not pester or badger people into taking into taking part which I have experienced in some places in the past. In the evenings there is a daily mini disco which has the children and sometimes their parents getting involved(the item game!....need I say more!!), and a variety of other games, etc before and after the nightly shows, which were of a good standard as well. I had to admire her patience and enthusiasm with some of the kids who had a bit too much attitude and were quite vocal(Rhiannon, Kelly, etc.....), but she managed this very well, and made sure that everyone was involved, especially some of the younger kids who may have been a bit shy, and having a great time with lots of games, prizes and action dances. The entertainment wound up at around 11.30, although the bar stayed open for an hour or so longer which meant that anyone wanting a decent nights sleep would be able to do so, and those who wanted to party on would go off to the bars and clubs in Puerto Rico via a short taxi ride.

Lovely staff.
Rooms kept very clean by very friendly staff.
Food in the restaurant very good the breakfast at six euros good value much better than any on Amadores beach.
A special mention must be made about Becky the entertainments officer does a brilliant job with people of all ages.
I and my family could not recommend the Mirador more highly so much so that we booked to go back in 2007 as soon as we got back home as did many of the families we met during our stay well done Mirador keep up the good work

All public areas are well maintained lovely view of the sea from balcony the apartments are very big hot water constant the only downfall s if you havent got kids the entertainment isnt up to much but everything al day for kids the Europa Centre is only 2 euro in a taxi and Puerto Rico 3 euro where you can eat and drink very cheaply.
Already booked again for later in the year highly recommended.

Been to the resort of Puerto Rico and on a visit to Amodores beach loved it and vowed to return and actually stay there.
When we arrived at our hotel it was lovely. No one will be disappointed when they get there. I would recommend this hotel to any one.
