Location
The cleanliness is spot on and there is a constant army of cleaners always on the go. The horrible smell of sewarage from the building works next door was off putting to say the least but you couldn't smell it in the pool area.
The pool area was great, the heated pool for the kids was certainly a bonus but the baby pool was freezing and I think this should be heated also. There was also some disappointing behaviour from a certain adult couple who took notice of the fact they were in a children/family pool and proceeded to get very steamy with each other to the point where she took his trunks off in the water much to the displeasure of all sane parents nearby. Problem solved when my brother in law power bombed himself into the pool and the splash back cooled them down a bit..
The food was superb and there was always smething to eat. There were theme nights of mexican, chinese, italian, andalucian, canarian cooking and there was show cooking every night. The menu's were posted outside in 4 languages. I do think that there should be a children's menu containing things like nuggets, fish fingers, sausages etc as there were quite a lot of children staying this time arond and some parents did struggle to find things for their kids to eat (other than the usual chips.
An addition is the a la carte restaurant on certain nights of the week in what is the Coco Loco bar by the pool during the day. You get one visit to this during your stay and places are reserved by talking to Manuel the head waiter/manager the day before.
The menu stayed the same for that throughout our 2 week stay, none of us visited it and perhaps the might like to consider changing the menu weekly. There is a starter of mushy pea puree with smoked ham, then salmon lasagne, then beef bourginon and then baked alaska. They do offer you endless wine and i guess the location would enusre it is a romantic meal setting.
The location of the hotel is superb, breathtaking views of the sea, right next to the beach. All rooms have a sea view and are very spacious.
The staff were remarkably friendly, very helpful and did their utmost to make things pleasant for everyone. The animation staff in particular worked very hard, very long hours but made sure everyone had a great time.
Their energy and enthusiasm seemed to be limitless ( and even when Steve chucked one in the pool she still laughed!)
Entertainment was pretty poor to be honest.
Ruby loved the kiddies disco but most stuff was pretty bad. There was an Abba night and to be honest, that and the parrot show were the 2 best things we had there in 2 weeks.
Overall though, I would recommend this hotel to anyone and I am certain we will be returning for a third visit. Repeat guests get frui and wine delivered and it was my dad's birthday while we were there and they delivered champagne to his room. It is personal touches like that that people remember I guess.
I think the only negative thing I can say is that the lifts were very slow and it was quicker to walk. We were on the 7th floor and I did this several times.
There are many nationalities there and it is great that it is not an exclusively English hotel.
None of us wanted to come home and I can't wait to go back.

When we arrived at Taurito, it looked simply stunning. The hotel was large and spacious and very very clean.
The rooms are large and spacious and all have stunning views.
The food was excellent and it was quite easy to over indulge.
The entertainment was not really up to scratch, fashion shows, snakes and the worst resident female singer !!!!!!. The room soon cleared, it was such a shame because a hotel of that size you would have thought the entertainment would have been better especially when Taurito is a very small resort and the only evening entertainment was in the hotel. I have only mentioned that because most peoples complaint was just that. It would not stop me going back to the hotel. I loved the area, the position and the hotel, the entertainment I can make my self.
The lifts were a bit slow and i only used them a couple of times it was quicker to walk, however I am fit and able, not everyone is.
The hotel staff were fantastic and nothing was too much trouble.
The free buses from the hotel were really good,we went to Porto Morgan, Porto Rico, Maspalomas, Playa del Ingels, however at the end of the road you could catch the bus to anywhere you wanted. Just one word of warning, if you want to go to Las Palmas get the bus to Porto Rico and then get the direct bus to Las Palmas. We made the mistake of getting the sevice bus and it took 2 hours and 30 mins to get there. We did not make the same mistake coming back, 1 hour !!. It only cost 12 euros for both of us and it was a really nice day out, mind you we got to see a lot of places en-route and when we return there are a few stops I would like to get off at.
The hotel has direct access to the beach which has black sand which is not a problem, and there is a lido in the middle of the resort which has sunbeds, pools etc. There is a charge but I wouldn't know how much. There is a beach bar/restaraunt and there a few small shops in Taurito, supermarket.
All in all we had a lovely holiday and would most definitely go back to the Taurito Princess. Although it was our first time, a lot of people who we chatted to were on their 3rd and 4th visit, I don't think you could get a higher recomendation that!!!

There were professional entertainers most evenings or you could sit with a quiet drink in the Piano bar. Desite going in August we found very few queues, and there were always bed available round the pool.
The only problem for us was the location - yes you could get courtesy buses, taxis etc to different places but there was nowhere just to have a stroll at night etc. And yes there are building works but we hardly noticed them - very quiet!
I would certainly visit this hotel again - first time I have been allocated on arrival I will certainly try that again as well - I travelled with my two teenage children who loved the pool but found the hotel itself a little quiet.

Rooms also cleaned everyday as were towels. The view from room definately had the wow factor amazing. Staff extremely helpful.
Hotel area fairly quiet but everything very accessible either by hotel coutesy bus or local buses from up the road. Entertainment could be better too many fashion shows !!
Food, we couldnt fault, held theme evenings from Mexican, Chinese,Italian so lots of choices, we arrived home very relaxed and have booked to return again next year !!

For the food, well I don't know where to start, it is lovely. They have something to suit everybody's taste buds even the funniest of eaters. They also do show cooking so all the meats etc are cooked there in front of you and let's just say that you like you steak well done then you just ask the chef to pop it back on for you and they gladly will.
The hotel is set in a wonderful location looking over the sea and the whole resort, Puerto Rico and Puerto Mogan are only a few minutes away in a taxi or the hotel does run a free bus service through the day.
The staff in the hotel couldn't do more for you if they tried, they are so helpful and if you needed anything all you had to do was ask and it would be done for you.
Now lastly the entertainment, this too was very good they have a show on almost every night and is they don't have a show then they do a quiz or bingo. Also throughout the day they have what they call there animation programme. This consists of games that include rifle shooting, French bowls, darts, ping pong and many more they also have a wonderful game of water polo at around 3-4 everyday which is really good fun. When playing the games if you get placed e.g 1st, 2nd, 3rd then in the evening you will receive a diploma (certificate) which I found highly funny as all the blokes end up turning it into a big comp as to who can get the most diplomas by the end of the week ha ha ha, it was fun.
This hotel and resort as to be one of the best I have ever been to, and to bear in mind that I am in my early 20's I didn't find this resort boring I found it relaxing and entertaining, and if you are looking for a relaxing yet fun packed holiday then this is the place for you.

Food was good for the first few days then slowly went down hill. Pool was clean but not much entertainment on a night. Nowhere to go outside the hotel also we were not told about the building of a hotel lower down the road.
Didnt think it was a 4 star due to the location and the the food. Glad we were only there for a week save your pennies and go somewhere better

The food was excellent, there was so much choice and unlimited soft drinks as well as alcohol if you wanted it.
The entertainment wasnt really geared up for the adults more for the children which would have been great did we have the kids with us.
We had a great time there and are even thinking about going back in August this year
