We stayed in the hotel for 1 week, and found the location excellent only 5 minutes walk to shops and pubs. I feel the bar staff were very unfriendly and it you asked for a drink or a meal it was an effort and never once did the man behind the bar say hello or smile. I asked him the phone number for the local police and all he said was I dont know never tried to help. Out apartment was broken into and we had money and bank cards stolen even although my partner was in the apartment at the time, and after speaking to another couple they had been another break in the day before. The reception closes each day between 1pm and 4.00pm and that seems to be the time of the break ins. Also late arrivals get their apartment keys of a board outside the apartment anybody could pick them up. The reception did get the policy and did get a translator to get a crime report after the break in. The bar has a happy hour but just on some drinks not fresh orange juice so beware. The life to the apartments closes at 10.00pm at night so lots of steps to climb. The apartments have a great view, and are in a great location but because of the lack of bar friendliness and security I do not think I would return.

we stayed at heliomar for 1 week 17th sept. the apartments were cleaned every other day. the hotel food was nothing flash but ok for a quick sandwich. the location was good but still few steps to climb. the staff were not very friendly and heard of 3 burglarys whilst we were there which was very upsetting and a worry to leave your room. no entertainment was provided apart from poor music from cd through day the pool bar is only open 10 till 6. you had to hire kettle and toaster. i would not stay at the heliomar again mainly due to the burglarys.
