This was our first holiday as all inclusive we had read all the write ups prior to going and to honest we were a little bit worried about it all but then we thought if it is that bad at least we can go and eat out.

However we found that all in all the food was ok I have to agree that if you are vegetarian you don't get alot of choice but there are plenty of choices for everyone else.

We had a brilliant holiday and like we always say a holiday is what you make it. We would definately go back and enjoyed every minute of it.

If you are reading this and have booked to go here just enjoy yourselfs we did. If you have got kids they will love it. This isn't a first class hotel and the food isn't first class, you will enjoy it though unless you are determined not to.

We had a couple of meals out just so we could just have a change of scenery but I did find the meals out quite expensive and I did pity people that had to eat out all the time because of the cost.

We also found Andy and Sharon the entertainment pair really friendly and at times they had us in stitches at the end of our stay we did feel that they were genuinely sad to see our crowd go because everyone had joined in together so well.......So happy holidays hope you enjoy it as much as we did.

Just returned from an excellent week at the Ficus.

One bed apartments are spacious and clean and have lovley sea views and also of the pool. This is our second all inclusive holiday and food although not fantasic was edible and plentiful.

Apartements are in an ideal location for the shops, bars, etc and only a 5 minute walk to the beach.

Hotel staff were very friendly and were always egar to please. The entertainment team of Sharon and Andy were fantastic and tried their best to get everyone involved. Stuff always going on day and night and suitable for both adults and kids.

Would definitely return!!!

The rooms at the Ficus are very clean and spacious.Maid service 5 times per week and linen changed twice weekly.Pool area kept very clean.

I found the food to be pretty awful. I am a fussy eater though. We ended up eating out for half the week, which made the holiday quite expensive, considering we had paid for all inclusive.

Well, wot can I say about the entertainment???? Absolute trash. One of them, couldnt sing, dance or do anything. Rude at times to guests too. For god's sake, get rid of that stupid game 'More Tea Vicar'.

We stayed at the Ficus.

Food was very good always something to eat drinks all day from 9.30 am till 11.45 pm pool was always clean but very cold.

Entertainment was not too good for kids not for adults.

Rooms were very clean.

Town was just 10mins walk everyone was talking about the very dark road going to the Ficus but it was very well you can see where you are walking.

Go to Legends very good night out and Cactus Jacks.

We will go back next year.

Got back from the ficus a few days ago I found the ficus to be clean that is the best I can say. The food was rubbish. The entertainment was terrible.

On the night of the England game they promised a show but let everyone down. Alex was sick he must have ate the food or was watching football with his mates. Donnna was left to hold the fort Dont give up your day job love, Oh sorry it is your day job.

The drinks were fine and I found the bar staff okay to.

We went on the moonlight night excursion this was the highlight of our holiday. Recommended.

Don't waste your money on the Ficus go elsewhere.

It is a cheap holiday at a dear price. I have been on 6 all inclusive holidays this was the worst.

We visited the Ficus in January 2005 and would never go back. It was a holiday from hell the food was horrible while we was there 4 different people found things in their food glass in pudding, chickenbone in lasagne, hair on the cheese, maggots on bananas.

Obviosly after paying all inclusive for 2 week we had no choice but to eat out and it cost us a fortune. We found a cockroach on the kitchen side in the apartment absolutely everyone in the hotel complained to Thomas Cook because know-one was satisfied.

We have been all over the world and this is the worst experience we have ever had. We had 5 cold days of wind and rain(almost as windy as Chicago). We complained to the rep about this an she didn't get back to us and she didn't help us in anyway and was on the hotel's side.

The entertainment was good Charlie and Donna were our entertainers and they were great with the kids apart from thursday there is no entertainment. The pool looked nice but was too cold to get in.

If you are vegetarian, then this is not the hotel for you. Don't be tempted by the Children's menu either, Squid is served almost daily and the kid's food is left out all day and has to be heated up in the microwave.

There was a rat at the poolside when we were there, not nice especially when children are playing at the water with the threat of Whelan's disease it needs to be addressed.

If you have very small children, please try and take a travel cot with you as the cot's are of such a poor quiality that my son slept in his pram as I was worried about cot death. The rep was useless trying to get it changed.

You can hire kettles, if you need to boil water there and the fridges and cookers work which is good for babies and small children. The bars were closed from 5-6pm, so stock up before ther poolside bar closed.

The maid's were very thorough cleaning the rooms. You do need to be up early to get a sunlounger.

The resort and location is nice and is quite close to the bus stop for Puerto del Carmen, just be careful if you get back after dark as the road back to the hotel is unlight.

The rep Val, says that the Ficus is a budget hotel and we should expect a budget service, however we did not pay a budget price for the holiday and neither did most of the guests'. Shame on Sunset as they are always getting complaints' about the hotel yet it has not improved. You can't blame the staff as Sunset admitted they pay the hotel very little for us to stay there.

Donna and Charlie will however make your holiday as they are there every day except Thursdays with fun and games to amuse the kids and big kids too.

This was out first time all inclusive and after reading all the reports on Ficus we were a little worried. We arrived at the hotel about 9.00 at night it was very clean and quiet.

In the morning we went into the restaurant for breakfast (bacon eggs sausage etc) very nice, breakfast was the same every day but nice. Dinner and tea was great the first week but got a little boring the second week it was the same fish or chicken just in different sauces.

The staff were great they were always smiling talking to you. They spoke very good English which helps. Nikki and Ellie the entertainers were fantastic, they made us laugh. We joined in the games they used to play round the pool. They worked very well together they were great.

The only thing to spoil our holiday was the weather we had 4 days sunshine out of the 2 weeks. We would certainly go there again great fun for all the family.

The pool was very cold but lots of people just jumped in it including my 3 kids aged 16, 13, and 8 - must be mad.
