my family and i stayed here for 14 nights, it was very clean everywhere, pools, rooms, gardens... There are quite afew cats around and the hotel ask you not to feed them as they do! They sleep on the chairs in reception and theres a nice cat pee aroma around!! We did have some cockroaches in our room and mentioned it to reception and they offered to move us straight away, but our neighbours didnt have any!! Plenty of sunbeds, we didnt have to get up at the crack of dawn!! Pools are salt water and cold.
Staff seemed very friendly,
Not many seats in clubhouse.
Was self catering but you could upgrade to all inclusive on arrival, people said food was OK. At the welcome meeting they try and sell you trips, these are such a rip off. Go outside, theres a company selling exactly the same for two thirds of the price.

The hotel has a wonderful location, although as its very close to the seafront, if you can't cope with constant wind - neither the hotel or Costa Teguise is for you!!

The resort and its facilities are clean and plentiful, you can play tennis and golf for free and there is a sanded kids play area in addition to the kids clubs. There are five pools across the resort so the pool is never crowded. We arrived at the end of April to find fabulous food, booked on all inclusive, the range and quality was fabulous with a choice of two restaurants, however that all changed when the summer season started in May, one restaurant was closed with no reason given, and although the food still tasted lovley, the variation dropped, and it became repetitive, we very often had the same food offered for lunch from the evening before. We had enough by day 10 and ate outside the resort. Value for money - its great especially if you have young children as icecreams etc are free and unlimited, beware of the very unhelpful and rude spanish waitress in the pool bar though - it got to the stage where our children wouldn't go there!! Overall the resort is good value for money but be careful before you choose 14 nights all inclusive, the weather is scorching but the daily meals consisted of beef goulash, stew, lasagne, pasta bolognese etc which although very tasty, were a bit hard to cope with in such a hot humid environment

We stayed at Los Zocos for 11 nights at the end of May in a 2-bedroom apartment on the ground floor of Block 2. It had been refurbished to a good standard recently, was spotlessly clean and well-equipped for self-catering. The combination microwave was a welcome bonus and there was even a tea towel. The terrace was fully enclosed and safe for our 5-yr old and had a 2-string extendable washing line (very handy, but consider taking a couple of pegs for clothes you can't thread along the line). When we plugged the hotel's kettle in the lights fused - no problem; the fuses were easily accessible by the door and a brand new kettle was delivered with a smile within 20 minutes of mentioning it to Reception. There were only two minor gripes; considering the time of year, the swimming pools were very cold until later in the day and the organised children's activities seemed non-existent unless you booked with First Choice. We presumed this was because the hotel's own animation team thought it wasn't worthwhile - it was very quiet for the first week(despite being Half Term) with hardly any children about. Suited us perfectly but a bit disappointing for our daughter.

I was dreading going to Los Zocos after some of the reviews I had read. There was no need to worry at all as the apartments, food, the staff and resort were all wonderful. I emailed ahead (and got a reply) and asked for a refurbed room and we got one 1335, with a wonderful view looking over the pool side bar and one of the swimming pool areas ( there are two ) . The pools are not heated and were quite cold, our 14 month daughter could only manage about 10 mins in the afternoon. We arrived at the start of half term and the complex was very quiet but that suited us as the restaurants were quiet, you could chat to the staff and there was no fight for the sun beds and the pool area was quiet.Breakfast and Lunch were served in El Mirador self service buffet restaurant.Breakfast7.30am - 11am offered the usual full english breakfast, toast, cereal, danish pasties, croissants, along with fresh fruit, ham and cheese, fresh bread - something for everyone. Lunch 12.00 - 3.00pm again offered a varied choice, childrens type food, nuggets, potato shapes, mash, burgers, sausages and always baked beans. For the adults there was always at least a couple of meats like chicken, pork steak, ribs etc, then lasagne and meat in a sauce, fresh veg and potatoes, rice, plain pasta and one with a sauce. There was always at least two fish dishes and a lots of salads - not just the plain boring ones either. There was also bread and fruit available. The poolside bar 11am - 5pm served limited snacks, drinks and ice cream. The choice of sandwiches is limited but as we were all inclusive it was not a problem as our young daughter had a sandwich for her tea.The staff were not rude, they were firm. It clearly says you are not allowed in 'wet' and asked children to leave if they were ??? There were a lot of very young children sent in here by their parents to get drinks and snacks who seemed unable to get off their sunbed to go with them. Dinner 6.30pm - 9.30pm was served in El Boulevard, we did not have to make a reservation for this as previous holiday makers did, it was open every evening - due to the resort being quiet I think. Food again was wonderful with 3 different 'types' of area to make your choice from. The first was a tex mex type with again with salads, fish dishes, vegetarian choices. There was a carvery with at least one roast and ribs and this is where you will get your hot 'traditional' pudding from. The 3rd was a chinese, again with at least 3 choices, plus a veggi plus 2 types of rice. **** forgot to say **** chips are available with every meal in every restaurant. Drinks were in a separate bar area with self service cold drinks and wine - by the bottle if you wished and coffee ?? Beer was from the bar area. The only thing you may miss is the traditional puddings we get in the uk as they do not really do puddings. The food is no way 5* standard, but hey guys,,, we didn't pay 5* prices for the holiday did we ?? The pool areas were kept exceptionally clean with a team of cleaners there when it closed at 6pm and again at 7am before it opened. They did a wonderful job and it was really quite embarrassing to see all of the rubbish left around the pool area by us brits,,, no excuse as there were rubbish bins everywhere !!! There were a few cats about but unless you called them, they did not bother you and did not go around our pool area. No cockroaches,, There was another pool area which was less busy, my partner took the kids there and said it was better for the little ones and it also had a small play area too. Outside the complex the resort itself is very clean and well maintained and we spent hours walking along the promenade,,, to get my baby to sleep !!! There are lots of places to eat if you go self catering, although the kitchen equipment in the apartment is well stocked. There are a couple of small supermarkets very close by if you want to cook. Will we be going back again,,,, yes indeedy,,,,

This is the second time I have stayed at los zocos. We came back this year with our 3 yr old son. It is a good place for families. We stayed for 2 weeks on a self catering basis. The supermarkets are only a few minutes walk away and stocked a wide variety of english goods althou they were a little more expensive. We ate out majority of nights and they are lots of places to eat along the promenade.
The apartments were cleaned regularly and were of a good size. I emailed ahead asking for a refurbished room a week or so before, and were happily on arrival that my request had been met. The pools are of a good size and were kept clean. Please beware that it does get quite slippery around the pool area because of the tiled floor, and children do love to run. We went on a few trips but didnt get then threw the first choice reps.
The hotel and entertainment seemed friendly enough, and tried to get you to join in the activities during the day althou the entertainment of a night was a little dissapointing.A mini disco for the children, which played the same songs every nite, and then a show each evening... for example, parrot show, reptile show. Lots of activities to do - crazy golf, football, tennis, archery. I would visit again this hotel again, as my son and i really enjoyed our holiday here

Just got back from a week at this hotel. We were S/C but upgraded to A/I for 5 days. (You can upgrade for a min of 4, 28euros per adult and 15 euros per child. (6-12yrs) We were glad we only upgraded for 5 days as we found the food very repetitive and found ourselves eating out on the 3rd day as we couldn't face the same kinds of food again. Pool bar offers ice cream, drinks, sandwiches, biscuits and cakes as part of the A/I deal, however, there is only one choice of biscuit and there was never ever any cake available.

Hotel clean, our apartment was nice and clean and very comfy. maid service every day except tue and fri. We did have a cockroaches but not many. I also had ants crawling over me as I ate at El Bolevard restaurant. There are lots of cats at this Hotel and they allow them to sleep on the furniture in reception, I didn't like that!

Hotel staff are very friendly and alays say hola as they pass. The reception staff are not as friendly. We had a couple of problems with our room, damp areas, fridge was not working and eventually I asked to move rooms. They did this right away but were not happy about it and made sure we knew this. No smiles and thy talked to eachother in Spanish, nodding at us as they did so.

Kids etertainers are good, mini disco good but exactly the same every night, same songs, same chat, same games. The kids loved this though and joined in with more confidence each night as they knew what was coming. At 9pm the entertainment is aimed at adults but kept mild as the kids are still there. Not to good in the nights.

I wouldn't visit this hotel again.

The hotel was nice and clean with the room itself been cleaned at least every other day. The hotel food was substantial to the hotel rating we all enjoyed it plenty of variety for all the family. Most of the staff were really friendly, especially on reception and extremely helpful. The other family we went with had a cockroach infestation in their room and it was dealt with straight away and they were moved to another room, we however didn't see any. The pool was very cold, so didn't spend much time in it. The entertainment was a bit of a disappointment so found entertainment elsewhere. There was entertainment provided on a Monday night curticy of first choice reps, at a near by pub which which was a great night. I would possibly revisit the hotel but not in the near future.

just returned from the los zocos apt, excellent apt clean and recently refurbished,we were in block 1 room 106 the large balcony looked out onto a walkway and the back of the onsite restaurant which wasnt a problem, these apt are in a great location beach shops and bars just across the road.we were self catering, but you can upgrade to all inclusive for 23euros a day, spoke to a few people who said food was good.onsite entertainment we thought was poor, prices in supermarkets quiet expensive 14euros for pack of 16pampers nappies thats 14pound with the exchange rate as it is so take them with you, food and drinks in bars and restaurants expensive 9euros for sausage and mash,we ate at popeyes most days which was reasonably priced, between 2 and 6euros for breakfast and 7.50euros for starter and a main meal so would recommend here the owners scott and jill are very welcoming.another good bar is the waterfront excellent food and service, all in all a great holiday tho very windy, just one thing that happened while we were in our apt there was a almighty rumbling outside our front door which turned out to be maintenence men waking up every cockroach on the complex which they then sprayed with poison,an hour later the cleaners came and swept them all up,we must stress that we didnt see any cockroaches before or after.

Arrived at this hotel mid-day and found staff very welcoming explaining that room not quite ready to use but if we made our way to the pool bar we could get refreshments and a snack. Snacks inc., sandwiches and salad but very nice and freshly made whilst you wait.

Once in room found to to on the large side compared to other rooms when travelling abroad. (We had a 2 x bedroom). Very clean, spacious and every utensil you could wish for and again more than you would expect at other hotels. Intergrated appliances and immaculately clean.

There are numerous maintence guys around tendng the gardens, pools, and surrounding areas. Cleaners attended everyday and although the policy is if the towels are placed in bath they will be replaced with clean ones although we chose to re-use for a couple of days. Beds were made daily but no clean sheets replaced during our stay but we were only there for one week. Bed was "clean", fresh and comfy.

My 2 girls are aged 12 and 11 and only really got into the daily activities towards to the end of their holidays and have said they wished they had done it sooner as they had so much fun. My partner and I did some of the adult acitivities and had a great time mixing with other tourists. Great fun!! Animation team do a great job when most people just want to relax in the sun...but take part you'll make some great friends. We did...

Stayed at Los Zocos for a week, overall the hotel was great, been to Costa Tegiuse before so knew what to expect from the resort. The staff were really friendly and helpful. I took my 10yr son who was greatly enyertained allday everyday the animation staff worked really hard to keep the kids entertained Georgie was particularly great. There was a great choice of food the only thing i would say is that is was luke warm sometimes even cold. The hotel itself was clean and the room was cleaned and towels changed almost everyday. The entertainment was ok the hotel worked hard to make it entertaining. All in a great stay i would recommended this hotel for family's mom and dad can relax has the kids are well catered for.
