The food is very poor.
The childrens reps were fantastic but the entertainment on the evening was very poor
Overall I feel cheated as I had originally booked to go to Kefelonia but the hotel was not ready in time so was offered this holiday as a replacement at the same cost.
I did like the pools around the accommodation blocks.
Once again though you get ripped off at the prices for the excursions.

Rooms very basic and could do with a more thorough clean occasionally.
Choice of food very poor and not kept very warm. We wish we had gone self catering as the restaurants in Playa Blanca were very good.
It was quite a long walk to the beach but there was a courtesy bus which ran regularly during the day.
Evening entertainment was good and the entertainment team worked very hard but it did become a little repetitive.
Hotel could do with a few more parasols around the main pool; in the whole 14 days we were there we never managed to get one and rarely managed a sun bed either. However, we coped by lying on the grass under the trees.

The rooms were cleaned every day apart from Sunday which is the best maid service I have had.
The buffet restaurant wasn't that good and we only went once. The pizzas place was good and ate there a couple of times.

Only compaint was the lack of included fans / air con, Pool was great, we were in one of the recently refurbed rooms which were great, must have been lucky as we only had 3 cockroaches on our patio all holiday none in the room whatsoever.
Plastic cups were a bit annoying but all in all excellent holiday. Wish I\'d asked for extra pillows but other than that excellent, safe in room is free just had to leave deposit, and also no security I had to leave relating to the room.
Medieval night excellent (from previous holiday) but visited loro parque (gotta see the killer whales) and also Aquapark (visible from hotel, 2 minutes walk).

We were in Banana block which had its own pool, this was directly opposite kiwi block and I would have been happy in either of these blocks.
Reps try very hard and the entertainment is all for the kids which is what we wanted. The weather played a big part in our holiday as it wasn't very good, rain, wind, cloudy most of the time and this as a result meant through the day the complex was almost deserted!!!
You could always get a sun lounger again I think this was down to the weather but guests are requested not to reserve beds and this was adhered to for the duration of our stay.
Our kids did not go into the the kids clubs but they did seem very good and other kids seemed to have a great time. Didn't think there was much choice of food at the pool snack bar but the buffet restaurant served plenty for us.
If you could pick up the hotel and put it some where else we would definately return. Excellent choice for families with young children.

The rooms are clean but are a bit old fashioned.
We went all inclusive but on the second week got a refund and went self catering. My 2 kids would not eat the hotel food. One night we had chicken I cut into it and blood ran out. Had a chicken and pork kebab from chicken shack and that was raw. Food at the hotel is very poor. The kids get free ice cream which is good. In the daytime you can only get a beer from the pool bar which only has one barman and you can only get small beers, you can be waiting a long time to be served not good.
The dome is where all of the entertainment takes place. There is a kids disco that lasts 45 mins, then its bingo and then its a quiz. Then the reps put on a show. To say its a family hotel the entertainment is poor, because the hotel is so far away from the town you just go there every night and it gets a bit boring. There is only one barman serving in the dome and the que for drinks does get quite bad.
It says in the brochure that Playa Blanca is a 10 minute walk away it is more like 25 minutes when you have the kids walking with you and there is nothing but bare streets on the way no shops or anything. Get a pass from reception for the back gate or it will take even longer
The staff are very helpful and polite. Kids clubs are great my son went into the cr

We arrived late evening and our first impression was WOW this looks really nice. Check in was very quick and had no problems at all. The reception staff all speak very good English so no problem there neither.
We requested Kiwi block as it had been reccomended by others however I wish I had requested an upstairs room as having the ground floor room meant the noise factor was not too clever. You could hear kids running around upstairs, the screeching of dining chairs been pulled along the floor. The sliding wardrobe doors also went with a clatter. Even the doorbell on a morning was very loud (above us kids would ring the bell early on a morning).
So if you are going to this hotel Id definitely request an upstairs room and dont panic if you have pushchairs as there are lifts.
Do make sure you get the gate pass, like others have mentioned this will cut the walk down into town.
The pools were freezing but once you got over that initial shock they were fine. Watch out with inflatables, some families went home and left their inflatables (big snake, Crocodile etc) and the maintenance crew took them away a couple of days after the people went, even though they had been left for others to use. Then notices went up saying inflatables are not allowed in the pools unless the reps are doing organised games...covering their back id say.
The Entertainment team were fantastic, especially Marcus and Adam they bent over backwards to make sure everyone enjoyed themselves. They had a kids disco every night which started at 8pm. They had bingo, maybe a quiz, then the team put shows on which were all brilliant. They also brought in other acts like singers, parrot shows, hypnotist etc and we thoroughly enjoyed the shows.
The kids club reps were all very good as well. Jamie was brilliant with the kids and made sure they had a great time at wavelength club.
The shop was ok, had most things that we needed, apart from PG tea bags which they ran out of and never got back in stock (that was all our 2nd week).
As we went Self catering we tried the Chicken Shack on site and found the meals to be small portions, the amount of chips you get are tiny. We also went to the buffet restaurant a couple of times and the first week found the meals to be quite nice but the second week for some reason the meal choice was not too clever so we just went off site rather than pay for not so nice food. They also do take aways from the chicken Shack and the Pizza place.
We travelled with Eclipse and yes they still give bands for children to get free drinks/snacks/ice cream and you can get these from the poolside bar, the hut next to playground and also in the dome on a night.
The maid was very nice and came almost every day. The cleanliness was very good, we had no problems whatsoever there.
There is an internet area, laundry room, fitness room (which I never did get to look at).
The pool area is VERY slippery when wet so please do take care, especially if you have little ones. A toddler slipped and fell and had to go to the hospital and he needed stitches.
Overall we had a brilliant holiday and I have ticked that I wouldnt go back but thats because Id like to try other places in the future. If you have children and one of your priorities is keeping them entertained then this hotel would suit you perfectly.

The complex is wonderful for families. It has everything you could possibly need for an enjoyable holiday in the sun.
Our apartment was spotlessly clean and Rose the maid came in every day and cleaned and changed bedding and towels three times a week.
We stayed on an all inclusive basis and thought the food was wonderful. Every night there was something different and there was always plenty of choice. There was always a few meat dishes, fish, pasta, choice of potatoes, lots of salad, soups, lovely puddings and a separate selection for kids if they want it. My little lad has never eaten so much. The beer and wine was ona help yourself basis.
We had meals at the Pizza place and the Tex Mex. We really enjoyed the Tex Mex and the Pizzas was lovely too but we prefered the Tex Mexx
We didn't really do much with the Dome as it wasn't really suitable for our little boy as he was too young. We spent the evenings in the tavern being looked after by the lovely Mariad from Dublin. This has more of a pub atmosphere and was just a nice place to sit and relax in the evening.
The shop had everything you needed and was open all day.
The only reason I have ticked we wouldn't visit this hotel again is because we wouldn't go to Lanzarote. We would go to another holiday village at a different locaton as we like to go to different places.
We stayed in Watermelon block which was great as we had our own pool outside the door. Even though when we went the complex was full the pools never got busy and you could always get a sunlounger. Every morning the poolside got scrubbed and the pools cleaned. The whole complex really was immaculate.
The poolside is very slippy but okay if you wear flipflops. It was the kids that were running around barefoot that were slipping. I made my little boy wear UV factor swim shoes and he didn't slip once.
The water was very very cold - once in it was okay but getting in was a bit of a challenge!
Location wise the resort was a bit of a trek from Playa Blanca. It was a good 15 minute walk, which in the heat felt like much further. Make sure you get a card for the back gate from reception. We wished we could have picked the complex up and moved it a mile nearer the resort.
We didn;t put out little boy in the kids clubs but the feedback from everyone was that they were fantastic. All the reps were really friendly and couldn't do enough for you.
the only bad thing about the whole holiday was the flight out there. First Choice planes are so small and we couldn't believe we had to sit with our little boy on our knee for 4 hours as there was no room. Coming back we paid for a seat for him but the leg room is ridiculous!
I would highly recommend this complex to anyone who is taking a family abroad. It has something for everyone! the place was clean, felt very safe, you didn't have to worry about the children as you knew they were safe and being well looked after wherever they were.

As it wasn't too busy there was always a sun bed to lay on, the pools were all very cold and it took a week for my little boy to get the courage to go in!
We used the Tweety Creche 13 days out of 14. I was a bit worried leaving him there to start with as he is 18 months and it obviously wasn;t his regular routine but I needn;t have worried, he loved it! All the girls in there were great so I would highly reccomend this to all parents to give yourselves an hour and a half to yourselves everday!
The evening entertainment was great. They did so much for kids and the adults got a game of bingo every night and we won
