I travelled with my husband and grandaughter. We walked into the suite and couldn't believe our eyes,it was the wow factor. Our swimming pool came right up to our sitting room window and the furnishings were very stylish. The two bathrooms were very luxurious both having large windows looking out to a rockery garden. It was quite a novelty to bath or shower looking out and seeing the birds but knowing no-one could see in. The pool area was really lovely with sun beds and a table and chairs. We had hours of fun in the pool, it was a very good size. The staff were very friendly and kept everywhere spotless. It was quite expensive but you really do get what you pay for. We will definately go back one day. We highly recommend these suites, you can't go wrong.

The Villa's are on a complex of around 18 in total, all of which are behind the complex wall with security gates on both entrances. These were closed around 10pm but are electrically controlled by an access key fob given on your arrival.
The villa's themselves were spotlesly clean with the maids coming every other day and sometimes each day. The villa was well equipped with everything you would need for a self catering holiday including a washing machine, tumble dryer, dishwasher microwave etc etc. The only moan we had was that the beds were very hard and the pillows not to our taste, but I guess thats a personal preference. We had two double rooms and one twin, with plenty wardrobe and storage space. The rooms are very large and airy with sliding doors from the main bedroom and lounge onto the pool / patio area. The villa's are fully douible glazed and have an alarm system and a safe (key for rent from office), so again security is not an issue. Our brochure described the villa as having air conditioned bedrooms but only the lounge area had a semi portable air con unit (we will be taking this up with the holiday company).
The pool was cleaned and serviced every morning by the staff, some of the villa pools have underwater lighting and some have lions fountaining water into the pool, ours had the lions and we found this a bit noisy but the pool man was only to happy to turn them off for us. The pool has a deep end 1.4m and a shallow raised paddling area for toddlers. There was also a barbie for use in the pool area along with ample sun loungers and outdoor furniture. The staff were very helpful and couldn't do enough to help whenever asked although they do leave you alone to get on with your holiday unless approached for whatever reason.
The villa's are at the top of the hill on the outskirts of town so they are very quiet and relaxing, however whilst is an easy walk down to the town, some 750m to the old harbour and 1km to the end of the strip, the walk back up is a killer. After the first two hikes back up the hill we resorted to taxis once we had returned the hire car. The taxi drivers are quite happy to run you up the hill which costs 2E before 10pm and 3E after (not including tip).
If you are thinking of hiring a villa on the site we would highly recommend the Alondra's however we would very strongly advise that you book directly with the villa ownwers via their website: www.alondravillas.com as we found that it would have been about 40% cheaper booking this way rather than through a tour operator as you can hire a villa for six people for aropund
