Refurbishment Complaint
7 years 7 months ago
We are due too go too the above Hotel next mth . Love Holidays have not notified us, or Hotel have not told us about the refurbishment work going on.

Love Holidays are not helping us at all we call daily and the staff are not helping or advising us on what we can do . Love Holidays are mis selling the hotel and are not getting the amenities as seen. One of the pools that has remained open is full of dust .

How can this be allowed we have paid in full but the Hotel will not refund.

Surely this cannot be right

Day
It ticked all the boxes for us

Last year we went to a hotel in Menorca and were very disappointed. This year’s half term break we did quite a lot of research on this web site and found pretty accurate reviews from those who have already visited.

We were very impressed with this hotel. As already described, it is adjacent to the beautiful Playa del Duque beach. The hotel has 3 swimming pools and although the largest isn't heated, it didn’t bother us or our children.

The dining was excellent with a good choice for breakfast and dinner (not sure why Chinese is offered every night?!). The chefs were excellent in accommodating anything slightly different. The entertainment was a bit hit or miss but, as they say, you've seen one-you've seen them all. However, it's all pretty professional, no X Factor amateurs here!

Finally, the hotel was quiet during the day with a mix of older folk and those with younger families. Very pleasant really. Same goes for the beach. The only negative areas would be; tennis is 10 per hour (and I have never paid to use a tennis court before), whilst the helipad has free landing fees. There is no free Wi-Fi in the hotel room, however, you can pick up free Wi-Fi from the balcony from nearby hotspots.

We don't often go back to the same hotel/resort but we will definitely return here as it ticked all the boxes for us.

This was our first stay in this hotel. We stayed on a short 4 night break. The staff were friendly, the room was clean and spacious. We didn't have sea view but as we were out most of the time, it didn't bother us.

The breakfasts were excellent. The food was fresh and plentiful. The hotel is located very close to the El Duque shopping centre, and only about 5 mins from both Playa Americas and Fanabe beaches. There are plenty of places to eat, and you should be able to find something to suit you.

We will certainly be returning next year.

We have stayed at a number of hotels in this area and this is by far the best, probably not everyones cup of tea but we found it relaxing, luxurious, accommodating and appealing.
The food was on-par with a luxury cruise liner,3 show chefs, good choice and even English bacon at breakfast followed by sparkling champers.
The accommodation was of a very high level, well maintained throughout, the TV was not exciting in terms of available channels but I don't go on holiday to watch TV.
The location is excellent, adjacent the beach, near to shops and yet as quiet as you could wish for.
The hotel staff are clearly trained to ensure the guest is accommodated, I have to say the level of courtesy shown was consistent and that includes the most obliging reception desk, restaurant/bar and room staff.
The entertainment was very good in comparison, including the extra special efforts made to accommodate the high number of children that had descended on the hotel for the festive period.
A very enjoyable and relaxing stay at a very nice hotel.
Would I visit this hotel again? Well what do you think?

Due to an overbooking we came here in this fantastic and wonderfull hotel.
Room: we got a senior suite with jacuzzi, sea-view, 2 balcony's, it was spotless, whaw.
Staff was so friendly, food was excellent (caviar, champagne, from everthing the best).
Swimmingpools: salted water: it seems to be the best for the skin they said.
If you hire a car, the garage is free to use.
We sure are going back again to Gran Tacande.

What can we say other than what a fantastic hotel. We originally booked a 4* hotel in Playa De Las Americas, but were told that some rooms had been double booked and we were staying at the Tacande Gran in Costa Adeje which is a well deserved 5* hotel.

The food was fantastic. Two chefs were on hand in the morning and evening to freshly cook food for you. If you did not want anything from the vast buffet (which is hard to believe), they would cook you fresh meats pasta etc. The food caters for everyone. Food at breakfast ranged from English bacon, freshly made omelettes, Smoked Salmon, Caviar and Champagne to the usual salads and meats served abroad. Evening meal was again a vast choice including salads, freshly cooked pasta and meat/fish to Pizzas and chips for the children.

The complex is massive with a large pool and outdoor jacuzzi as well as a Spa in the basement. For us the only down side was the fact that it was in Costa Adeje. We had originally booked for Playa De Las Americas and we found the resort very quiet. Just under half way through the week we approached reception to see if the original 4* we were due to stay in was free as we wanted more night life. We did not want to leave for any other reason. The hotel was beautiful. Beds were made every day and rooms had a mini bar and large balcony. The hotel was spotlessly clean.
