Location
The food was always cold and the choice limited.
The evening entertainment doesn't start before 10 pm and finishes by 11.30 but all the entertainment staff were very friendly.
Sunbeds were dirty and uncomfortable, nearly all of the parasols were broken and the pool full of bugs.
This might be a holiday for the over 60's who just want sunshine, with basic accommadation and not much to do ....but only if its going cheap!!!

We could not fault it at all. We requested in advance a room with a sea view on a high floor and this is what we received.
The receptionist on duty when we arrived, was the nicest most helpful girl yet. She had us sorted in seconds. We decided to upgrade from half board to all inclusive which was extremely good value at 12 euro for adults and 6 euro for the children. We found the food to be of a very high standard. Lunch was better than dinner. We had sirloin steak the first day and whole baked seabass stuffed with prawns and crab the second day. The vegetables and potatoes were the usual Canary island variety and the bread was baked in front of you and was piping hot and crunchy.
The bedroom was the usual but we got a great view of the sea and the pools from the balcony. There are 3 pools at this property but the deep diving pool was closed for repair but we swam mostly in the man made rock pool built into the edge of the ocean - what a pool!!
The coffee served in the all inclusive bar was the best I have ever tasted in a hotel (where you usually get this sludge from a machine where you press a button) The cappucinos were to die for and I was on a caffeine high from all the coffee I drank.
I really enjoyed the entertainment. Because this hotel is in Las Calletillas, which is mid way between Playa de Las Americas and Santa Cruz the capital and is basically out of the way, they have to put effort into keeping the punters happy and occupied and they succeeded. my eleven year old son is not easily impressed with hotel entertainment but he really enjoyed what was on offer. Most days we played squash, tennis, basketball, tabletennis and there was a great mini golf course. All these activities were free as we were all inclusive.
The hotel had a sauna and gym which I used. In the beauty salon the massage (total body ) was only 15 euros this was great value as I paid 35 euro in Playa Las Americas for a much less enjoyable massage.
The public bus stops right outside the hotel and takes you to Santa Cruz where you can get a bus to anywhere in the island. Try to go to Loro Park if you can ,we had a great day there.
Our family really loved this hotel. It was great value for the price we paid and we will definately return.

The staff were helpful and offered a good service.
The food was all buffet style but was generally to a high standard but the menu was similar most days.
The location of the hotel was a bit far from anything just a few local bars or restaurants and offered nothing more but it was always clean and the people were friendly.
The most disappointing thing about the resort and the holiday was the beaches.
The was entertainment during the day offered like bingo etc, and on a night there was always entertainment in 1 bar and a disco.

The Hotel was spotless, rooms were of a nice size and the bathroom was generous too and was very clean. Maid service was daily.
The hotel is out of the way - nothing much nearby - a 25 minute stroll will take you into Candalaria which is a lovely quaint town with quite a few shops and lots of bars and restaurants. There is also a shopping mall about 15 mins away.
The restaurant was buffet style and to be honest if you couldn't find anything to eat then you must be really fussy. Some of the food could have been warmer but there was a microwave available.
The all inclusive drinks were good too. Bottles of wine with dinner and Champagne with breakfast. The facilities at the hotel were of a high standard and there were daytime activities such as bingo, bowls, shuffleboard, rifle shooting etc.
The hotel has a lovely pool area and lots of sun bathing areas on different levels. The evening entertainment was a bit of a hit or miss.
There is a Tourist Information Bureau across from the hotel with lots of good leaflets on what to do etc. We didnt use them but there is a bus service in close proximity to the hotel and a car hire company straight across the road. There is a taxi rank outside the hotel and we paid 3 euros for the trip into Candalarie.
The Hotel also has its own Rock Pool and sun bathing area across the road which was very picturesque. There are also some shops within the foyer of the hotel and the prices were reasonable.
All in all we had a lovely holiday and if you are looking for a quiet time then this is the place for you. Dont be put off by the out of the way location.
We would go back again.

The food was available in the normal self service manner and as such could be cool if serving yourself from the end of a tray for example. Generally the food was delivered in plentiful amounts and regularly enough to ensure a hot meal and we found it better than average.
We found the hotel clean if not starting to look its age and the staff were quite helpful to me when I had a query which, in truth, had nothing to do with them.
It would be unfair of me to rate the entertainment any lower as we tend to make our own by walking in the evening but what I saw was okay when it was an act however some nights the holidaymakers / hotel animacion team seemed to be all that was on.
We loved the location as it was just what we wanted and had looked for before going. The area is very quiet in the evening however during the day only a short bus ride from the capital. This appears a Spanish area of the island and a good number of the hotel guests were indeed Spanish.
We found there were adequate sunbeds and the three pools fine. One of the pools is a sea pool which was gorgeous however numbers are limited there and youve got to get there early.

We were booked in very swiftly and courteously by the man on reception and although we had a room on the 9th floor, it was very spacious and had a queen size bed.
The room and bathroom were both spotlessly clean. As we had arrived at about 1.30 in the morning we went to bed and didn't explore the facilities at the hotel until next morning.
The restaurant is on the lower ground floor and the meals are all "buffet" style. There was a good selection of food available and was well presented.
The only criticism was that some days the food was not all that hot, but was still very good. We didn't suffer any ill effects at all from eating at the hotel. (I did cheat a bit some days and used the microwave they have in the dining room to heat the food up).
We found the staff very friendly and helpful and rarely had to wait to be served drinks at the bar.
There is also a BBQ you can book at lunch time with 24 hours notice. The food was all freshly cooked and piping hot and the portions were more than generous.
I have weighed myself on our return and have gained 7lbs!!!
For anyone wanting to eat out of the hotel in the resort though was a little disappointing.
There are a handful of bars and little restaurants and not much else. We were aware of this when we booked and much prefer to be away from all the hustle and bustle of the more popular resorts.
All in all we enjoyed our stay and could not really complain about anything.
We would not go back again to Tenerife, it is one of those places you either love or hate.
We have done it, got the T shirt and will try somewhere else for our next trip abroad.
If you want a relaxing break then we can certainly say that this hotel is worth a visit.

Travel operator: I can't remember my daughter booked it.
The food was awful often always cold and the outside snack bar left a lot to be desired. We found mould on the food on the Wednesday in the main restaurant (3 days after arriving) and therefore did not eat again in the hotel and we had to go out looking for food which was difficult as we had 2 disabled people with us. Which cost us more money as we had paid to go all inclusive.
Most of the staff were polite but unfortunately lacked the ability to smile.
We had to queue to get a drink the entertainment was awful and did not start till late.
I would not go to this hotel again.

Mainly Spanish resort. Staff rude/unhelpful. Hotel very dirty. Litter everywhere. At worst around pool bar.
Swimming pool in poor order with loose tiles and filthy
floors. No parasols. Very windy. A good 30 min walk to the nearest restaurant/bar along seafront. No beach at all. All cliff edge/rocks. Always waiting 30-40 mins at any bar for a drink.
The day before we left the sink collapsed on my foot. A huge slab of marble fell and shattered my toes. The staff on reception refused to ring an ambulance or offer first aid. I was just glad it was my feet and not my childrens. In our time of need the rep refused to attend the hotel and the staff were totally dis-interested. Eventually the rep turned up for a new group and proceeded to laugh about all that had happened to us.
If you're not spanish don't go!
