Upgrade to superior room, Higher up and therefore quieter, much larger. Don't keep your key card anywhere near a mobile phone as it can strip the information from the card which I found out to my cost as I was on the 13th floor.

Tips for others going request at the beginning a sea view as we did this and had a lovely one.
The people at book it now were brilliant at getting my request done which was sea view and large terrace

Were in this apartment B-302. Well equipped and comfortable, buna guidance afternoon sun on the terrace overlooking one of the pools and the beach.
There are luxury apartments but they are quiet and comfortable, with plenty of light.

The island has recieved a lot of improvments and clean ups since i was last here in 2002. Nearly all the street traders that used to line the beach path are gone and the only ones left are the "looky looky" men who walk about the streets and pubs and the black ladies that do the hairbraiding.
Many of the pubs offer good entertainment at night and there are plenty to choose from. One of our regulars was the "dreamers" pub just on the front in los cristianos. Different acts everynight and always a good crowd in there! Look out for the pr...he's irish with short hair and is a great laugh. One of the best we haver ever met.
i have to disagree with the margui post as me and my gf ate ethere twice ion our stay and hads a very enjoyable meal with no probs.
If i have missed anything i shall add it later

We had been concerned about reports of being hassled by timeshare touts and lucky lucky people but we had no problems at all. A friendly no thanks was all it took. the whole atmosphere of the resort was laid back and relaxing with as much or as little as you wanted to do. would certainly revisit

Eating out was good. We tried various places and found three which were more than good. The Church was excellent, cheap and good quality. Not sure of the name of other place but it was on the front in the square under the chinese restaurants, similar quality to The Church, good food, big portions. Laslty, we spent most of the time in a bar called Harbour Lights, lovely family which run this, originally from Wolverhampton. Cheap beer, 1 euro a pint of the local Dorada. Food cooked by an english chef too. This was located just down from The Church oposite the sunday market. Lots of English locals drink here too and between them all they made us feel very welcome. We would highly recommend you try this place out.
Beware if you are going to buy any electrical items. They are all a load of con artists in the town. On a number of occasions we got to the point of buying the sony DVD camcorder we wanted only to be persuaded to purchase a cheaper model which in the end was in fact more money as well. If you want electrical stuff you are better off going to Puerto De La Cruz, when you tell them the one you want that is the one you get. Perhaps get a bit of patter and the offer to purchase extra items, but a lot less hassle overall.
We love Tenerife and have travelled here on many occasions. Although we had a good holiday, I would not perhaps visit the Atlantida again, but would highly recommend the resort.

Los Cristianos was busy at night but with the emphasis on a family atmosphere. Not suitable if you are looking for clubs & rowdy nights out

Los Christianos is like the Beirut area of Tenerife. The beach is ok, there are a few good pubs and shops, but it wasn't that great. There were loads of cockroaches in the streets too - probably because of the overflowing bins.
Some good Chinese restaurants.
It looks like the resort was probably great in the sixties, but little has been done to it since then - it is a relic. We were also hassled once a minute by people trying to sell sunglasses, watches etc.

The resort Los Cristianos is a fabulous place for a family holiday. There is a beautiful long beach and a range of English bars and resteraunts along the promenade. If you visit the centre it is worth paying a visit to the Wonderful Churchills bar, for a night of kareoke, bingo and so on.
Los Cristianos is beautiful and ideal if you don't like the idea of a very busy Las Americas
