This was our 3rd visit to this hotel. we stayed in a "villa" room right next to the pool and it was superb. The hotel is kept spotless by friendly, efficient staff. The food was good quality and plentiful, while the themed restaurants (Asian, Mexican, Italian, Spanish and Seafood)were excellent with friendly staff and superb food. All of the staff made a fuss of the kids who were more than happy to stay within the hotel & square, although families with older kids who may find them getting a bit stir crazy due to the "remote" location of the hotel. The kids also loved the entertainment again may not appeal to teenagers looking for a bit more sophistication. personally if the kids are happy we're happy so no complaints from us!! The tour reps weren't particularily efficient or friendly (a total contrast to last year). we would love to go back but unfortunately UK tour operators insist that we will need 2 rooms whilst the german tour operators are happy to put 5 into a villa room - bit bizarre. If we can somehow overcome this we will be back in 2009.

Just returned from a weeks stay at this hotel so I try and give a very honest opinion and hope this will help you you if your thinking about booking here.
On arrival we were booked in very efficiently by very friendly staff and were soon in our room. First call was the balcony to check the view and I wasn't disappointed overlooking the pool with a sea view. The room itself was neat spacious and tidy with ceiling fan and air con. Mini bar had 2 bottles of water, 2 beers, 2 cola and a fanta which was topped up every day frfee of charge.Bathroom had two sinks, bath, shower, toilet and bidet. Toilet rolls even had bows tied at the end! The hotel overall was kept immaculatley clean. The gardens are superb and the pool area immaculate! The room maid even folded our towel in the shape of a swan and placed it on one of our beds. The hotel also offers a towel service for 10 euros which is refundable at the end of your holiday and also free use of the gym, squash court, jacuzzi and sauna.

Now on to the food, unreal to say the least. First you have the main buffet restaurant El mirador where the variety and quality of food is second to none. Steak, pork chops, dover sole, haddock, massive selection of salads pasta fruit cakes and even caviar and champagne for breakfast if you wanted it! Not a day went by when there was not something I wanted. However you can use the Italian, Spanish or Seafood a la carte during your stay which can be pre booked on the day. All of which were very good!
The location is not the best as there is nothing around the hotel only a few shops in the sqare which were quite expensive as they had no competition and were probably owned by the hotel! One shop wanted 23 euros for a stick of lip sun block!
The entertainment was none stop from morning til night with Nino, Daniele, Botolo, Raphael and the girls all doing a fantastic job.
If I had to be critical there are only a couple of things that would have made our stay more enjoyable... Firstly gents have to wear ankle length trousers for the evening meal as 3/4 length are not allowed. I only had a couple of pairs with me so I had to return to the room to get changed after my meal which was a bit inconvenient. secondly the evening entertainment was held in Pueblo square opposite the hotel reception. There is no All Inc bar here for drinks so you had to go to the lobby bar in the hotel which was accessed by a couple flights of stairs or a lift. Too much hassel for me so we opted to pay for our drinks in the sports bar which is located in the square and conveniently owned by the hotel. Apart from that we had a cracking holiday and will definitely be returning soon. Hope this helps. Happy holidays!!

Just come back from a fantastic two week holiday in the Bahia Principe Costa Adeje. Still singing the song and my 4 year old is doing the dance.

There were a few minuses during the two weeks but would go back tomorrow if i had the chance. One of the best all inclusives i have stayed in. The majority of drinks were help yourself, with plenty of access to drinks - a snack/pool side bar, main bar, mini bar in room stocked daily. Drinks is restaurants were served however if you want wine you get a bottle not a glass and beer/soft drinks are served by the jug. The food for adults was fantastic. Ate in the main restaurant every day and there was a choice of almost 10 different meals each night - steak, pork, chicken cooked fresh by a chef while you wait. The downside of the food was the kids meals - i thought it was a very poor selection. There were burgers and something every night, but my daughter ate pasta for lunch and dinner for two weeks. She didn't like the american fries, or chicken/fish bits that were offered. She didn't like the garlic/onion flavoured chicken nuggets either. THere were other restaurants which were apparently very good, but we stuck to the main one.

There is plenty of pool and sunbed space. Big tip - go to the middle pool. The bottom and very top pools, and the jacuzzi are absolutley freezing. After 30 mins my daughter was blue. Such a shame really. The middle one was ok though and right in the centre for the entertainment. Pools pretty clean and well maintained too. Places i've stayed before have variour bits of trees floating in it, but not these.

The location was the only other thing to mention on the poor side - the hotel is in the middle of no where. If you want a week or two by the pool its perfect. Just do not expected a walk - unless you're keen on mountain climbing through barran land! However there is a bus 3 times during the morning to Las Americas if you get desperate!

I thought the entertainment was fantastic. The animation team were really really good. One or two in particular stood out. The shows weren't really anything new and there was a lot of miming, but it always had a fun element to it. No one works as hard as the entertainment staff - 10am till midnight and still happy to sit an chat. Lots of activities during the day too if you wanted to join in, but no pressure.

A great holiday.

First impressions of this hotel were good. The reception and lobby area were immaculately presented and the greeting staff friendly and helpful.

Our room (Junior Suite) was possibly as far from reception as anything could have been. Felt like a half-mile walk every time, but it was worth it for the excellent sea views and the fact that we were right next to one of the pool areas.

The hotel is somewhat secluded. We always hire a car when we go away, so it wasn't too bad, with Costa Adeje, Playa de las Americas and Los Cristianos all within a 10-minute drive. There is also a footpath to Costa Adeje, which is about a 35 minute walk.

The best part about the holiday was jointly the food and the entertainment team. The food was of high-quality restaurant standard every single day. None of us could find fault with anything in the restaurant, and the staff were brilliantly friendly and helpful. The entertainment staff were excellent, and I can't praise them enough. They work a ridiculous amount of hours (sometimes from 9am until 2am) and they are always full of energy. The shows in the evening were done either by the entertainment team (purely amusing) or outside entertainers (sometimes spectacular). Look out for Rafael's singing and most of the guys' enjoyment of putting on dresses! Our daughter, who is 4, took an instant shine to one of the entertainers, Daniele from Italy. He was brilliant with her and made sure everyone felt welcome and had a good time.

I wouldn't hesitate to go back to this hotel. The staff, food, entertainment and facilities were excellent for my situation of 2 adults and one child. Top notch. :)

We have a relaxing week at this hotel, food excellant, clean everywhere, staff very helpful and polite.

The only trouble was there is no where to walk out to outside this hotel at night, ie. no bars or shops to wander to and walk off that evening meal.

Never know a hotel where everyone plays card games where they are so bored at night with nothing to do and the entertainment crap.

Just returned from a wonderful holiday, the only fault was the evening entertainment. The rest of the holiday was first class... Rooms had king size double bed and were cleaned every day. Mini bar also stocked up every day.

Food was fantastic. Pool areas were beautiful all landscaped absolutely stuning.loads to do sauna massage whirlpool. Staff at hotel were brilliant.

This hotel is just right if you want a relaxing stress free holiday.

We thought we had finished with All Inclusive holidays but after a few weekends in italy this year sightseeing we decided we needed a weeks relaxing holiday doing nothing. A couple of work collegues recommended it and they got it spot on.

We booked a junior suite (contrary to a previous review this hotel does have junior suites) which turned out be everything we hoped for. It had a king size bed and views over the ocean, the pool and the mountains. The hotel has a main buffet restaurant and 3 a la carte (Spanish, Italian and Seafood) which were all very good. I am not usually a fan of buffet but this was certainly the best I have encountered in Europe. You also have the option of eating once a week in each of the a la carte restaurants.

You can also eat breakfast in the Italian restaurant and lunch in the Spanish restaurant.

In the Restaurants there is waiter service for drinks.

There is also a pool side snack bar which will serve you the usual fare of burger, hot dog etc which was also good.

Outside the restaurants the drinks are mainly help yourself although there are other local spirits and cocktails, and tea or coffees which the barmen will serve you with.

All the staff were very good at there jobs and always had a ready smile.

The main entertainment area is shared between the Bahia principe coste adeje and the Bahia principe tenerife (which is close by) and it is certainly an attractive area. However the Bahia principe coste adeje also had entertainment outside the bar area and we tended to go there where the entertainment was a bit more low key (jazz band, singer etc.) and quieter which we like. The hotel is very attractive and the grounds look stunning at night when the lighting shows the trees and water features at there best.

The location of the hotel is not great for those who wish to find other things to do in the evening but then why would you when you are in a great all inclusive hotel.

My wife and I, 2 sons and my mother in law are going back to the Bahia principe coste adeje in April and we can't wait.

Thanks Bhia principe costa adeje for a great holiday.

No problems with the cleanliness of the hotel everything kept immaculate. We had one of the junior suite the rooms are very spacious. The two lower rooms have a fantastic big veranda. With the hotel having the choice of 5 a la carte restaurants and a main one if you plan round the a la carte which you can visit 3 per week it gives you a fantastic variety. They are asian mexican italian spanish and fish, Highly recommend the mexican and asian food and service was fantastic.Staff are very polite and cant do enough for you.entertainment was not bad some good singers and a few jazz bands for the adults and the usual team for the kids at night bust must say some of the shows done at night by the team were ok.hotel a bit out of the way but you expect that with a all inclusive. How ever if you wish to go to Las Americas a bus leaves at 12.00 and pick you up at 5.00 free. Just one thing forgot to mention bottles of wine you can have one with breakfast lunch and dinner there is loads of it.

This was our seventh trip to the Bahia and we cannot recommend it enough! Food is excellent, we ate in the main buffet and also the italian, spanish, seafood & asian a la cartes, the asian being our favourite. Plenty of choice and also a childrens menu. Plenty of alcohol, the set up in the lobby bar had changed since our last vist and beer is now serve yourself as are spirits, soft drinks, wines etc. This meant no queues!
If you want a cocktail or something different the bar staff will serve you. There is a self service bar in the square for while you are watching the entertainment, but only does beer, sangria, wine & soft drinks. Also they have craftily changed the time of the main 'show' to 10.15 until 11.15 so the main lobby bar is closed when it finishes! Not really a problem, just get a round in before 11!
Pools all clean, you cannot reserve sunbeds until 8am now which is much better than having to go down at 7am!
We never had any trouble with sunbeds or parasols, in fact we sat on the same beds for a fortnight!
Poolside entertainment is good, aqua splash at 11.30 is highly amusing every day (& very loud!), the chap that does it must be shattered afterwards!!! There's also darts, archery, bahia superstar etc but the animation team don't pester you if you're not interested.
Evening entertainment was ok, the Freddie Mercury/Robbie Williams tribute show done by the reps was very good but after having seen Grease every holiday for the past eight years it was starting to wear a bit thin!
Rooms still immaculate,no complaints at all there. Email the hotel beforehand & request a pool view as that is the nicest side of the hotel.
The small rocky hotel beach now has sunbeds & a little hut where you can get beer etc. You can also walk across it to get to playa paraiso which is full of gift shops(much cheaper than at the hotel!)
Staff all friendly & helpful, most of them speak good English & you always get a 'ola' from the maids.
All in all we had another great holiday there, if you just want to relax in beautiful surroundings with good food & drink it will suit you down to the ground. We are going again for a week in October so what better recommendation could you have!

We travelled to this holiday fully armed with information both from this site and our friends who we were going with. This was thier second visit to this hotel and upon arrival I can see why!

The entrance/ reception is massive and grand, full of marble and balconies and murials on the walls with a very high roof. The result is very impressive for your first impressions. Our friends and us have very high standards and I can say without any fear of contradiction that the whole hotel complex is first class.

The food was excellent and plentifull in all area's and is very hard to control yourself at the buffet style servings, something I must say I failed to do !!

There is a good mixture of European foodstuffs and is as good a time as any to try any new specialty foods you have not tried before. If you are after some typical English pub grub then this is not for you, if you have a more refined pallet then you will enjoy the food emensley.

The hotel was spotlessly clean and every single day the staff could be seen cleaning all public area's and the maid service was brilliant, changing the towels and cleaning our room. The staff were always cheerful and polite and would always help you if asked.

The hotel is situated on a hill. That is to say you have a semi-steep hill to walk from the very bottom (infinity pool) to the top ( reception). There are lifts to help but this might not suit the more elderly traveller.

There is a small sandy beach beside the hotel but is very rocky.

The swimming pools (three of them , 1x heated, 1x normal and 1x infinity pool ) were large enough for anyone although are only chest-deep at the deepest end in all three.

The entertainment was the only thing to let this holiday down as the evening could have been better with a bit more variety (one entertainer was on three times in the week , day on day off )but that said the entertainment staff did put on a few good shows and the snake lady was fun for all !!They did have a kids club everyday and other stuff going on at poolside for the adults, you could join in or not, no pressure.

We would definately go there again and we are also looking at the other locations for Bahia-Principe.com . If these are thier standards, they will continue to have my business.

In short, you will be hard pushed to find a better quality holiday for the price you have paid....enjoy!!
