Albir is what I would describe as an up and coming tourist location. It is a very subdued resort, compared to the smelly disguting delights of Benidorm. Some of the restaurants giving great value for money. If you like chinese food, the second one you come to is great. Some nice places down on the beach although it is a bit of a walk.

Albir is a very laid back resort.A few nice shops and lots of restaurants. There are alot of typically Spanish tapas bars and pavement cafes near the beach which all offered good value for money food. The beach is spotless and pebbles instead of sand. you can walk along the promenade to Altea which another lovely little town. Albir is not the place for clubbing its more suited to families.

Quite small but beach long and stoney. Very clean.
Not much in way of bars, restaurants on beach area itself but a few on the street leading to the beach.
Did not see any clubs etc. but were not actively looking for them. Mainly shops and restaurants on street.
Everyone was friendly and there were no 'touts' whilst we were there.
Mainly family and couples would be attracted to this resort, too quiet for 'youths' for want of a better word.

We found both Albir and Benidorm to be Fantastic. We recomend a trip to Mundomar to see the Dolphin show and to Aqaulandia next door.
We will be returning to benidorm again.

Albir is an excellent place to stay for your holiday ,quiet compared to Benidorm but then if you have kids you dont want late night bars etc.
Plenty of places to eat and drink ,we enjoy going to Olas bar on the sea front for a drink as you sit on a balcony, overlooking the sea watching the world go by.
Only complaint about Albir is the stoney beach ,but not a problem with a car as we nipped up to Calpe where you can find excellent sandy beaches.

Albir did not offer many nice restaurants for a meal out. The beach was stony and a long way from the hotel.

Small quiet resort, nice promenade along full length. Pebble beach okay for sitting on sunbeds, but virtually useless for a dip in the water with the kids 'cos of the stones underfoot.

The resort of Albir was clean and tidy. It had plenty of bars and restaurants to visit. In particular the Chinese next to the American Diner was good value for money. We paid 43 Euro's for 5 adults and 3 children including drinks. It was like a banquet!! There was so much food we ended up taking it back with us. The American Diner although more expensive was also very nice. The only bar we wouldn't visit again was The Regent as the service was apalling!!

The beach is very pebbly but not uncomfortable, very cool even on the hottest day. The range of eating houses is good, visit the the American Diner the portion are "Fat B-----d size and very very good. Try the sirloin steaks.

Albir Garden is situated in a very convenient location - there are bus stops outside (No. 10 bus) which cost 85 cents per person, which take you into Benidorm or Altea town at sensible prices. There is a supermarket just across the road and another two further down the street.
The walk to the beach is about 20 minutes and all the way there you will pass shops/restaurants/bars. The area itself felt very safe. In the evening near the beach front there were several craft stalls and live music played.
I definitely preferred the Albir area compared to Benidorm, although perhaps the 18-25 year olds might prefer the more lively Benidorm nightlife.
I will definitely return to this part of Spain again.
