Hotel room small but very clean heating worked well, lots of storage in room. But funny smell in corridor.
Hotel food not bad could always find something to eat

Exellent location near to every thing.

Maids and bar staff very good hotel managment staff very poor.

Lots of entertainment if you like ballroom/line dancing in one bar. Man on organ and varied shows in other bar.

Hotel was really well situated.....I found the food decent enough but a bit repetative....rooms were fairly basic but adequate and clean...the beds were rock hard though and the air conditioning made a racket....couldn't keep it on for too long without getting a headache!

The lifts, of which there were 3, were way too slow and inadequate for the number of guests as each could only take 4 people at a time ....the newest lift was out of action for most of the holiday..being on the 8th floor it became annoying having to wait for the lifts all the time.

The main downside was having to get up at 8 every morning to get a decent sunbed (with a backrest that worked) and an umbrella...umbrellas and decent sunbeds were few and far between....especially given the number of guests. And if you didnt get up early and bag one (as everyone else was doing) you'd have no chance later on in the day.

Visited this hotel on the 31 August, on Full board basis.

First impressions were pretty good. However when we saw the size of the room we nearly died, very small, and the balcony not big enough to fit me my partner and my son onto.

All rooms air-conditioned which was good, although you could not keep it on all night as it was too noisy.

Restaurant was located on the bottom floor. Whilst we were there, in the corridor on the way to the restaurant there was the most awful smell coming from the toliets, the smell was so bad that some days I thought I was going to throw up.

Food just ok, nice selection of salads, but the hot food counter was usually fish or pork every day and night. Restaurant was not air-conditioned so you could not enjoy your meal even if you did think the food was good, as it was way too warm.

Pool area was quite nice, I have to be honest I never found it hard to get a sunbed, but that was probably because I was up most mornings before 9am. What I will say is the kids pool is awful. Way to small there was some days I could'nt take my son in because there was no room.

All in all this holiday in my opinion is just ok, I won't be returning. I stayed in the Rosamar a few years ago, and found it a lot better. However I will be opting for an apartment next time.

this hotel is beautifully clean the maids were fantastic and the staff were extremely pleasant at the bar & restaurant with the exception of the staff on reception. The pool was a little too small for the amount of guests but we used it only for a quick dip and my daughter loved the small end of the pool as it was shallow.the entertainment was varied but we all found it quite boring but that maybe bcause i prefer to go out of an evening but impersonators, dancers, parrot shows and drag artists where a taste of whats on offer and it wasnt your usual amateur hotel junk just a little dull.all in all a great holiday we all agreed we would return here again but only if the food was to improve as it was the same old stuff everyday,my daughter lived on yoghurts and im not fussy but no matter what they cooked it tasted terrible.benidorm is cheap though so eating out wasnt a huge problem and the location really is excellent near the beach, bars, restaurants shops etc highly recommended hotel but 1 piece of advice get up at 7.30-8 am to get your self a sunbed its not foreigners that reserve the beds its us english!!!! enjoy we all did !

Me and my partner came to this hotel peak season, it was very busy round the pool. Not nearly enough sun beds to go round all the guests.

The big pool has a sun canopy over it which made the pool freezing. We didnt like that.

The entertainment was poor. The food was not very good. The restaurent was big and clean but didnt smell very nice, we enjoyed our stay but could be improved.

around twelve of us stopped at the ambassador for two weeks half board in june-july 2004, i found our room to be basic but clean, didnt like having to pay a deposit of fifteen euros for a remote for our aircon and also some of our party had the same for their telly remote, overall i found the hotel to be very clean and tidy.

I thought the food was well presented but tasted different although the chicken and beef currys were excellent and there didnt seem much difference one day to another in what i found i was eating.

I found the hotel idealy based around 250 meteres to the beautiful beaches and same to centre of nightlife and surrounded by lots of bars and cafes with very reasonable prices. There were two pools outdoors one was covered which was a decent size and one which was tiny which everyone tried cramming around i found it really annoying that there were two small signs that i saw saying that you were not allowed to leave towels on sunbeds but whenever i went to find a bed as early as 8am all beds had towels on and i never saw any staff doing anything about it.

we found that the hotel staff were absolutely brilliant from the cleaner who deserved a medal for always being happy and pleasant to the bar staff who never stopped and were good fun, a special thanks to fransisco who looked after us in the restaurant but the staff on reception could do with a charisma crash course.

Entertainment at the hotel was good and varied but the guy on the organ didnt half put some hours in!!Overall my stay at the ambassador was very pleasant and apart from a few little gripes thoroughly enjoyed and would probably book again.

Thought this hotel was great.

Central location two great pools, one undercover which was ideal for kids on the very hot afternoons.

Rooms good very clean with good sized balcony.

Food ok salad and sweet selection excellent.

Entertainment varied from parrot shows to Flamenco, ok for the kids but for adults everything you want is on your doorstep.

This is the first time we have been full board and found the food very repetitive and not very exciting. The wine menu was surprisingly impressive and if you did not manage to finish a bottle the waiter would take a note of your room number and save it for your next visit. The location was excellent if you want to be right in the centre of Benidorm which we did and in February it was not rowdy although I could imagine in high season it could be noisy. The staff were very nice in the restaurant but the guy that ran the western bar adjoining the hotel reception seemed to get a bit fed up of people using the bar as a thoroughfare - perhaps if he'd been a bit more friendly people would have stopped en route for a drink. Line dancing seemed to be the only entertainment at the hotel but because of its good location it didn't matter as there was lots to do nearby. We liked Morgans Tavern, Steptoes and Buddies for entertainment which are all fairly close. Love Benidorm and looking forward to going back soon.
