I stayed at the Levante Club last year and, going off that, I can recommend it.

Food: Excellent choice at the evening including a chef cooking one of the items there and then. Breakfast wasn't that brilliant but everyone else seemed to like it.
The food in the downstairs cafe - which you have to pay extra for unless you're on full board - was, I felt, better.

Entertainment: Didn't bother with it but there was a range of entertainment at night either on the outside stage or in one of the bars.

Kid's Stuff: There is a room with video games and the downstairs cafe has a large screen showing MTV. There is a separate paddling pool for the kids and a shallow area in the main pool.

Daytime Stuff: There is something happening for most of the day. There is a poster on the main notice-board with the details. Last year they included a table-tennis competition (for both kids and adults), water polo, water volleyball and Spanish lessons.

Underneath the pool area is a spa and gymnasium which looked top-class but, again, you had to pay extra for it.

The bars are expensive but in a hotel like this one you expect it. If you want a cheap drink nearby then there is a bar across the road called 'Beers, Bar and Friends' or something similar which got frequented by the hotel guests.

The only reservation I have about this hotel is the amount of thefts from the rooms. I may have had a 50 Euro note stolen while I was down at the pool but I couldn't be sure. Just be careful and enjoy yourselves. I just wish I could go back!

www.hotellevanteclub.com is the hotel's website. Online bookings are available with a 15% discount but, when I checked with them a few weeks ago, they were dearer than booking with Airtours (although that may not now be the case).

Just been checking the 2004 brochures from Airtours and Direct Holidays (the two companies who've been using the Levante Club) and it is in neither one. I am therefore assuming that another company is using it or it is no longer being offered by a company in the U.K.

Found out recently from someone on the forum that this hotel is now being offered by First Choice.

I've booked for a week in January so will post an update if necessary on my return.
