Location is very good next to indoor market. Rooms are very basic and needs upgrading, TV signal is very very poor, as is the actual TV. Also they turn off a/c after midnight which annoys loads of guest who complain at reception each day; beds are very un-comfortable, requiring a good drink to ease you into a good sleep.

The food isn’t great, we ended up eating out for evening meals, breakfast gets you going, but so called English sausage is bland and deep fried cheap rubbish.
Pool is superb, as is the little Jacuzzis, but overall I won’t come back, its living off a TV programme, and that’s about all id say really, quite disappointed in it.

Stayed in the Sol Ocas and it was a very typical 3* hotel. We found the place spotless in all public areas and the bedrooms.

Most facilities are shared with the Sol Pelicanos but both hotels have their own bar and restaurant and meals must be taken in your allocated hotel. The food was normal for a 3* hotel, I guess it could become repetitive but there was always something to eat and for the price we paid the quality was fine, breakfast was better than the evening meal though.

There is a small pool at the Sol Ocas which we normally used or you can use the pool at The Pelicanos which is massive and is used for the setting of the series 'Benidorm'.

The staff were not rude but were not particularly warm either, they were just doing their job.

I have given the entertainment a rating of 3 but have based this purely on the posters advertising what was going on, as we always went out in the evening I didn't actually see it myself.

The location is good, about 5 minutes from the beach and about the same to the main nightlife area but far enough away to avoid the noise at night.

Benidorm is full of stag and hens and their behaviour was going beyond just drunken fun, I heard reports of hotel furniture being smashed, families feeling uneasy around pool areas and the police having to be constantly called to attend incidents at the hotels.

Benidorm was cleaner and better maintained than my previous visit and I just hope the stag and hens don't force people to go elsewhere.

I would recommend this hotel but if you want a huge choice of food then maybe you would be better paying more and going to a 4* hotel.

this our 2nd visit to this hotel in two years, once again i can't find any faults with the hotel, location excellent just about a 5 mins walk to the bars and clubs. food was very good and we all found something nice to eat every night, yes some nights there was a queue but it didn't take very long and there was plenty of food to go round.

the room was spacious and cleaned every day with clean towels.

the pool is the best and is very cold at first but it takes about 10 minutes to swim around the whole thing!

i would recommend this hotel to anyone

We stayed here for 1 week. the pool is great, but everyone from all around comes just to use the pool. Cany complain though because we did this last year too. By 9.30am alot of the sunbeds have towes on them. We saw the manager come round once and remove towels from reserved sunbeds at lunchtime if they hadnt been used, whilst this was good, it could do with being done a little more often. The pool is great though and nice and clean with the pool bar to swim upto.
Whilst we went halfboard, we only had breakfast, plenty available, usual typical buffet type range which was ok and definately edible. cant comment on the teatime though we always ate out as there so many places to try. if its English you want, go to The Grand National (try their home made pies), Union Jack and the Yorkshire Pride. The hotel is located 2 mins walk away from all the bars etc but you dont actually hear any noise from them at night. A show you must see is Albi Senior, great comedian also dangerous Brian was hilarious too. The staff were all ok, reception were great, helping with any queries you have and well spoken english too. We only saw the daytime entertainment by the pool side which was ok too. We would go back to this hotel, but room 617 appeared to have a smelly drain problem though. The rooms with the double beds in are a little small, with just enough room to walk round the bed and get into the bathroom and thats it, but hey you only get changed and sleep in there dont you.

The hotel was clean and tidy food was excellent however the drinks a little expensive. When we first arrived at the hotel we were sent to the Ocas part of it however when we booked the holiday we were told we were going to be in the Pelicanos part. When booking we also expressed the factor that we wanted a lower floor however we were allocated the tenth floor of the hotel. Knowing what we know now the hotel is one complex of two hotels which you could be allocated to any one. Their was also one receptionist when we was booking in which made the process tiresome. One downside to our hotel room was the fact that it had been allocated only two plugs and for three people this was not enough. Also the rooms were a little small for three adults. However we had a wonderful time. We would recommend this hotel to others and would gladly revisit.

been to this hotel a few times before. we stayed in the ocas part but always used pelicanos pool as it must be one of the best in benidorm. room was a bit tight for space with 3 beds in it but was very clean. maid service excellent as usual. food was fine, always well cooked, reasonable choice to pick from. we didnt stay in for entertainment as it sounded a bit cheesy. bar prices at pool extortionate, 2 euro for very small bottle of water, 3.50 for magnun ice lolly. dont be fooled by the "loyalty" card this hotel signs you up for called "mas" card. we got it last time as it says you can have a late room check out up until 4pm. it was useless, we still had to vacate our room on the last day at 12 noon. all in we had a great time, as this hotel is in the perfect location for all the bars benidorm has to offer

we were in the ocas building room a bit small with 3 beds but only sleepin in it! very clean bathroom spotless with shampoo shower gel and soap clean towels everyday tv in room but only one english channel never watched it! room had air con thank god! room faced the rd but noise wasnt too excessive! food wasnt up to much but paid more had worse in other hotels! kid a fussy eater but ate croissants! breakfast was best meal have to say although the omlette que could get big but just one woman with 2 pans! never bothered much with entertainment or kids club as it was mostly spanish but i see that as a good sign if the countries people like it then its usually good. one problem i did have was the stag parties behaviours round the pool no wonder brits abroad have a bad name i love a good party as much as anyone if not more but when there is as many kids around you would think they would tone it down a bit. pool area in pelicanos is amazin only problem was it was so warm!! and the usual sunbed fights but lifeguard was no bad at removin the towels! overall was a great hotel and would go back.

Allocated a room in the Pelicanos hotel, room very clean, tiny balcony overlooking the Ocas hotel pool,
stayed on a half board basis and the food was quite good despite previous comments. Hotel location was excellent if you like to be close to all the bars and a short walk to the beach (which is lovely). Only complaint I have is the amount of "hen and "stag" parties that are allowed to use both the Pelicanos and the Ocas, I paid an over the top price to Thomson's to have my holiday spoiled by their constant shouting, screaming and banging doors in the hotel complex. Benidorm is not for me.

We were very unsure about this hotel after reading the reviews, but we were pleasantly surprised. On arrival we were told we were in the Ocas part of the hotel. Before arrival, I e-mailed the hotel to ask for a low floor for my parents. We were told they couldn't guarantee anything but they would do their best. However, on arrival in the Ocas, it was all a bit chaotic. Everyone arrived at the same time and there was a bit of waiting about. When it was our turn we were all allocated the 7th floor. I explained to the staff on the desk that I had requested the lower floor and the male receptionist tried to talk us out of it goint on about the nicer views etc on the 7th floor. I think this was probably to save him any hassle. After a strict refusal from myself, it was sorted and within half an hour a room was available on the first floor.

We aren't really fussy to be honest and look at a hotel as a base only, but the rooms were clean and tidy and the maids were in every day. We found the staff pleasant and friendly.

Again, on the day we arrived, we were told by an elderly couple that the food was terrible. But, we have nothing negative to say about the food at all. There was loads of choice, plenty of it and something for everyone. There was little queing and each meal went smoothly. The only critisism would be that there wasn't much choice for kids - mine ate soup and pizza for a week!

Location was perfect. It was fantastic for all the entertainment, pubs and clubs, but surprisingly quiet at night. With all the pubs and clubs on hand, we didn't really go to any of the hotel entertainment nights except once, to the parrot and magic show which was fantastic for the kids.

The pools are fantastic. The Ocas pool was ok, but the Pelicanos pool was fantastic. Clean and plenty of sunbeds available. Drinks and food in the hotel were very expensive, but we bought stuff out the market and took it in with us - there was no-one checking.

I would recommend the Pelicanos Ocas and would definately go back.
