We were on the 17th floor and had a great view of most of Benidorm. We also looked down on hotel Sol Pelicanos' swimming pool where they film "Benidorm".

Depends on preference.
Balcony overlooking pool... daytime sun, road traffic noise.
Balcony park side afternoon sun... bus stop, traffic noise.
Only 6 floors so not a high building for Benidorm.

Avoid!
If booking here ask for a room overlooking the pool and be prepared for rude staff!

Great wee beach at the bottom of the road and Vincent’s bar across the road for great karaoke.Bar staff excellent especially Duncan.Balcony not always guaranteed. The other hotels we visited were also welcoming and they had an outdoor pool. Cristal park and Villa Benidorm. Excellent.
We will return. ???

Are the club rooms worth the extra not in my opinion
Get a very high or very low floor, the middle is a nightmare for getting on the lifts.

Go somewhere else
Don't take anything valuable. They just tell you to use the safe. We had expensive make up and jewellery stolen...other people had clothing stolen...others money. Gonna need bigger safes!!!! Disgusting

take extra cash because the company didnt tell us about needing a deposit! we had to pay 150 euros per room when we got there, in cash, as they didnt accept credit or debit cards (even though they took these at the bar?!) and this left us short of cash.

If like me you are a light sleeper book a pool view room.
33% off drinks in the night club under the hotel, entry near the restaurant for hotel guests. Crissie Rock good comedienne (if you are broad minded).

we were advised not to use the alleyway at night from the main road to the apartments due to some muggings. needs to be better secured.

benidorm has a fantastic (levante beach) beach. Entertainment is great. Beach is very clean.
I would visit the resort again but not the Mayra apartments.

Benidorm didn't seem as clean as it did last year despite the fact that street - sweepers were out quite a lot.

The poniente end of Benidorm is ideal if you have children as you are away from the hustle and bustle of the lavente end, but still close enough to walk there or even catch the e1.25 bus if you fancy going to the other side.
Some people seem to think that as the new promenade is being built that the cafes are shyut, they are not, there open and all are giving a friendly welcome. Particularly good to us were the potteries way and the newly opened mai Tai, however we used 4 or 5 others as well and they were always superb, including the spanish owned poniente bar.
All though the poniente side is a lot quitier than the lavente side, it still offers a great holiday and the beach is a lot less crowded than levante.
Overall i thought it was an excellent holiday, and the poniente side proves that Benidorm still has lots to offer for families and should not be tarred with the "Party side" as there is room for all.
Trips taken i can recommend a half day at the algar falls in the natrual sring lakes (Timotei advert i nthe 80s) and yes you can swim in it. Mundomar is worth the entry fee just to see the dolphin and sea lion shows, and even as a family you can enjoy a meal and show at the Benidorm Palace, on our trip there were numerous families and all seemed to be having a great time.

For the amount of people that visit Benidorm each year and the thousands of people that are in the pubs and clubs each evening it's surprising just how clean the place is. Even the beach is cleaned every night.
The entertainment is amazing, there's everything you could ever want to see there and some you wouldn't want to see! There is something for everyone all day and all night.

There are many good feature to Benidorm. Something for everyone. Entertainment must be the best in Spain, nightclubs, live bands, singers, Karaoke and ballroom dancing. Fast food and excellent spanish restaurants mean you wont go hungry. Tapas alley in the old town is excellent. Also, visit the park area near the Townhall- leading to the bull ring. The Dove Park on the beach front in the old town is a good place to sit and take in all the atmosphere. Also the nearby towns of Altea, Albir and Calle de Finestrat are worth a visit, particularly on their market days.

The resort was in our opinion busy and thriving, although people told us it wasn't half as busy as normal. I'd hate to think what it's normally like, if that's the case. First the negatives- Even though we had a rough idea of what it was like, I can't say it was 'our cup of tea'. We expected lots of entertainment and British bars but it was very 'Brits abroad'. We didn't really feel as though we were in Spain, apart from when we were in the Old Town. We found it almost impossible to find Spannish food of any sort in the Levante area. Most places had British staff and English was the main language spoken. The weather didn't help either, but there's nothing anyone could do about that lol.
Positives - No-one could ever be bored here. Lots and lots for everyone to do. In my opinion, the entertainment was mostly bar based, probably because we stayed SC and not in an hotel. An excellent resort for those with walking issues as it's really flat and lots of motorised chairs/scooters can be seen along the prom.
It was a different sort of holiday than we're used to but are glad we went and enjoyed the week we were there. However, on reflection we don't think we'd visit again. Been there, done that, got the T-shirt etc...

Having heard so much about Benidorm we thought we'd give it a try. We had a great time over the week, but have decided that it's not really for us. It really is like Blackpool abroad - loud & brash. If we ever return we would definitely stay over in the Old Town. Staying in the Levante area you would never know that you were in Spain.
