We were on the 17th floor and had a great view of most of Benidorm. We also looked down on hotel Sol Pelicanos' swimming pool where they film "Benidorm".

Depends on preference.
Balcony overlooking pool... daytime sun, road traffic noise.
Balcony park side afternoon sun... bus stop, traffic noise.
Only 6 floors so not a high building for Benidorm.

If booking here ask for a room overlooking the pool and be prepared for rude staff!

Great wee beach at the bottom of the road and Vincent’s bar across the road for great karaoke.Bar staff excellent especially Duncan.Balcony not always guaranteed. The other hotels we visited were also welcoming and they had an outdoor pool. Cristal park and Villa Benidorm. Excellent.
We will return. ???

Are the club rooms worth the extra not in my opinion
Get a very high or very low floor, the middle is a nightmare for getting on the lifts.

Go somewhere else
Don't take anything valuable. They just tell you to use the safe. We had expensive make up and jewellery stolen...other people had clothing stolen...others money. Gonna need bigger safes!!!! Disgusting

take extra cash because the company didnt tell us about needing a deposit! we had to pay 150 euros per room when we got there, in cash, as they didnt accept credit or debit cards (even though they took these at the bar?!) and this left us short of cash.

If like me you are a light sleeper book a pool view room.
33% off drinks in the night club under the hotel, entry near the restaurant for hotel guests. Crissie Rock good comedienne (if you are broad minded).

we were advised not to use the alleyway at night from the main road to the apartments due to some muggings. needs to be better secured.

This was the first time I had visited Benidorm since 1974 and would say it had changed for the better except for the time share touts but I suppose they are everywhere.

The resort itself does not deserve the `Blackpool` tag at this time of year - it was very pleasant although the weather was a little unpredictable 3 days of rain out of 7.
Went there mainly for Terra Mitica but was a little disappointed (went to Port Aventura 18 months ago and filled 7 days happily - rides and shows superb)booked for 3 days on park and would have been happy with just the one day - (gave away the last days tickets so someone else could benefit rather than waste them) Score - Port Aventura (Salou) 10 - Terra Mitica 4
Only one thing spoilt our holiday and that was the pickpockets - we all know about them and are warned - but you are not warned how quickly they can strike - my wife was hit on crossing the road from the transfer coach - a group of spanish women were literally waiting for the coaches to pull up and followed my wife across the road and right up to the hotel doors - only in the room did we discover her purse had been taken and on reporting it we found another person had their tickets stolen at the same time. It is very time consuming spending time on the phone to the National Police giving the details of loss and them having to attend the local station and wait to be seen to obtain their typewritten report for your insurance co.
Other things you need to be aware about are Monkey Man - Potato Man and Timeshare Touts. Monkey Man has a cute little monkey and will take your photo for 25 euros (no film in camera - no photo - byebye 25 euros
Potato Man is fascinating to watch but expensive as he shuffles 3 potato skins and a pea for gambling - he has a team of 2 men and 2 women around him looking like punters but picking your pockets or purses at the same time - don`t be tempted to go near even out of curiosity

Last visited Benidorm about 8 years ago and thought it was time for a re-visit. Beaches wery clean and well covered by life guards. New water ski complex a nice attraction.
A good selection of quality shops mingled with the usual tourist / souveneir shops.
A few street beggars but nothing compared to London / San Francisco or even Palma.

basically benidorm is a hot version of blackpool.
it is not the cleanest of places but if you go for
night life it is spot on.
daytona is a great bar with live music the best of which
were "mad hatters".taffy evans on guitar and his mate sings.
other good bars are sinatras, champions, jumping jacks, cafe benidorm and not forgetting the yorkshire pride for a top breakfast.
also keep an eye out for raffa benitez on the piano accordian.top turn!

Very impressed with Benidorm overall. Loads of police about all the time gives a secure feeling. Street touts not tolerated so no hassle from them. Plenty of entertainment to suit everyone on offer. Driving not too bad but parking can be dificult to find at times and watch out for scooter riders appearing from nowhere. Great market every Sunday.

Always plenty of entertainment in Benidorm if you want it, but lovely clean beach areas if you want to be out of the busy part. Found some of the side streets untidy although you regularly see the street cleaners. A good few noisy drunks about at night.

Benidorm....you either love it or hate it.
I love it, and accept the cosmopolitan town for what it is.
It is the European capital for entertainment and a town that has been having visitors for over 40 years, those needs of the tourists have been catered for, and in some areas, to the detriment of the Spanish traditions.
However, if you look beyond the concrete jungle and explore the "old town" and surrounding areas, then you will capture parts of the "real" Spain within a short distance.
The beaches continue to hold the coverted "blue flag" and you can see why, when they are cleaned every night.
They are fantastic beaches.
You can go to Benidorm and make it your Blackpool under the sun...or you can walk for 45 mins out of the concrete jungle and be in another world...the choice is yours.
The Costa Blanca holds many treasures, if you just look for them....or pop onto a bus.
