We were on the 17th floor and had a great view of most of Benidorm. We also looked down on hotel Sol Pelicanos' swimming pool where they film "Benidorm".

Depends on preference.
Balcony overlooking pool... daytime sun, road traffic noise.
Balcony park side afternoon sun... bus stop, traffic noise.
Only 6 floors so not a high building for Benidorm.

If booking here ask for a room overlooking the pool and be prepared for rude staff!

Get a very high or very low floor, the middle is a nightmare for getting on the lifts.
Are the club rooms worth the extra not in my opinion

Go somewhere else
Don't take anything valuable. They just tell you to use the safe. We had expensive make up and jewellery stolen...other people had clothing stolen...others money. Gonna need bigger safes!!!! Disgusting

take extra cash because the company didnt tell us about needing a deposit! we had to pay 150 euros per room when we got there, in cash, as they didnt accept credit or debit cards (even though they took these at the bar?!) and this left us short of cash.

If like me you are a light sleeper book a pool view room.
33% off drinks in the night club under the hotel, entry near the restaurant for hotel guests. Crissie Rock good comedienne (if you are broad minded).

both beaches are spotless, great for all ages, great drinking holes in new town , quieter in old town, so you have the best of both worlds, and there are plenty of shops to spend your time, if you like that sort of thing.

Benidorm has lost its characeter over the years to much like England.

Benidorm is everything you could ask for and more. Loads of entertainment, quiet bars if you want them, lovely beaches and some really nice places to visit such as Guadalest and Altea.
We ate at a restaurant called the Witches Bistro a couple of times and found the food to be of an excellent quality. This is situated near the pasty shop on the same road as the Princesa Hotel.

We have been to Beni many times so we feel "qualified" to comment. Beni is Beni you either love or hate it, Blackpool with sun it is. PLEASE read this warning. A group of Gypsy like characters are running the old 3 shells and a pea game off a cardboard box, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do not even approach anyewhere near these people. they are crooks, pickpockets, and purse snatchers and operate in a gang on 10 to 12 which surround you even if you are just looking so when you are "DONE" you cant see who it was and they just "disappear" We know we have seen it happen yet again this week, 18th - 23rd March 06 a woman had her purse snatched while watching and lost 250 euro to this scum, we seen him hop into a car while confusion caused by his gang was on. BE SAFE aviod this bunch at all costs.
Another event seems to have happened which will concern all folk who take back the full allowance of 3200 cigarettes and 10 kilos of baccy each.It appears all the tobacco shops have "cartelled " prices as they are all the same right across Benidorm so it is waste of time looking for best deal, furthermore these shops no longer take English hard currency as they have installed "change booths" in the shop which means of course they "click" for the currency conversion. If you must use a "change shop" ask how many Euros you will actually get in your hand for your cash, no good complaining when the deal is done as you wont get refund, this applies to all change booths. Keep away from the "scratch card" people as they are timeshare touts in disguise, everyone "wins" with these cards and to claim it off to the time share complex you go, use your head and give them the old s** o** .
The "blanket" trips are fine and run on behalf of a reputable bedding company (P.A.L.), OK you do get an hours selling spiel but absolutly no pressure to buy, having said that it is good stuff they sell but pricy if you cant really afford it, we bought a set and it is good stuff. After the sales pitch they do take you on a good trip and they do look after you, we have been on dozens of these not only in Beni but across the Costas and always enjoyed them, see old Polly outside the Helios, we found her trips to be particularly good.
We are not sales pitching for anyone but telling you how we see things as holiday makers just like you, our reports appear at regular intervals from where ever we have been on this great informative site.
Beni is a great resort and most folk are fair and reasonable but like all places there are the bad apples and conmen so listen and learn from our experience and have a great hassle free and safe time on the Costas.

I'm not going to hark on about my pet holiday hate... the stereotype Brit on holiday! Let's just say that parts of Levante offer the stale lager soaked vomit on the pavement authenticity of any number of binge drinker's UK city centre, weekend paradises. Take it with a pinch of salt, and it's fine... for a week! Having said that... there are clean areas in Benidorm too - the old town for example!
Entertainment options are unrivaled. I like my comedy personally. Look out for Danny Downing (Steptoes I and II), Dame Lucy Bun and Reg (Morgan's Tavern), Mike Curtis (Zodiac Bar and Sandra's) and Abi Senior (The Wheeltappers).
As for the beach.... top class and exceptionally well mantained.

Only visited Benidorm for the first time last Nov(to see
the carnival), i think it's a fantastic resort with something for everyone. If you want it lively stay over there,if you want it quiet stay there and if you want it very quite stay there.
The tele shots do it no justice at all, so many places to visit Altir being one we loved, take your pick just jump on a bus (1 euro),and off you go.

This was our first visit to Benidorm and found it like a foreign Blackpool.(Lucky we like Blackpool) There are two lovely beaches, a market twice a week, and more bar/restaurants and cheap shops, than you can count. There were, however, no swimmers. Although it is nice and warm at this time of year, the water is still freezing! There is only one tip we would give, unless you intend to take taxis everywhere, and that is to get a street map from tourist information so that you don't end up walking miles you don't have to!

Benidorm is Benidorm, loud, brash & 100% not stop wall to wall funand its cheap. There is always something new to do or visit.
From free blaket trips galore to any type of club or bar you need.Right across the spectrum quiet to loud, pleasant to bawdy the lot is here. If you are old timers like us, give the "Old Town Music Hall" a try. but always get three drinks in before the show starts as the bar staff are the entertainers and do they love to entertain and seem to forget people might want serving. The show ranges from old songs to sing along to, to Chris the pianist who does a cracking George Formby turn (not the fat free fryer the Lancashire comic). Shooters, although not as popular as it was is still a good night out with the talented Caroline Viva bringing out the best out of the audience in.
They tell me there are two suberb beaches in Benidorm. Never go there myself but they do have a blue flag rating and supposedly thats good.
Am I going back? Yes in June for ten days, not to the Victoria as it was booked before this visit, but to an all inclusive one God help me as it is world cup football time.

the resort is a very clean and very tidy place.
you never need to worry about what to do at night, there is so much on offer from drag artist shows to singers to comedians to childrens shows.
also throughout the day time there is many places to visit such as 'noahs ark' (rescued animal sactuary) an amazing place.
'mundomar' they do dolphin, seal lion and parrot shows and there is also a number of other animals you can look at.
'terra mittika' a theme park full of exciting rides for all.
there are many more places to visit but you can see these in the reception area when you arrive and you can also book them with your holiday rep, also in most exchange rate shops you can book trips and buy tickets.
i have been coming to this resort since i was 18months old and i am now 18 years old, i come defiantely once but sometimes twice a year and will always return.
