First impressions were excellent.
Room came up to expectations and above, this possibly due to the recent refurbishments i.e. new bathroom suites, tiling, furnishings, and decor throughout the hotel.
Meals catered for an international clientele with something to suit everyone, lots of fresh local produce for the healthy eaters.
Entertainment was varied and met expectations including two very professional shows.
Swimming area clean tidy warm well supervised with a life guard on duty at all times. Pool showers in abundance. Bar and snack facilities good. Sunbeds a plenty no reservations allowed.
All hotel staff friendly and helpful. Reception staff excellent and booked an excursion for us that exceeded that of the holiday company and cheaper.

The hotel itself is in a good location in the fenals area, only a 15 min walk from the centre of Lloret and about 10 mins to the nearest beach.
The rooms were cleaned daily with fresh towels and the pool side and the rest of the hotel were always clean. Any spillages or breakages were always dealt with promptly. The bar staff were all very friendly and accommodating in adapting the food menus in the pool side bar to suit your needs. Upon arrival we were not allocated cots in the rooms as we had booked with the travel agent but the night receptionist did his upmost to sort this out for us. However, apart from this incidient we found the reception staff to be not so helpful when asking for specific information about posters they had up in the hotel and particularly with trying to keep on a room for our departure day. Having 3 children under the age of 5yrs between two families we expected to be able to pay to keep one room on for the day of our departure as the hotel does not have a courtesty suite. Unfortunately we were told the hotel was fully booked and had to use the pool side toilet block which was impossible. The shower room had only one shower with little room in there to change and the floor was swimming with water and got quite dirty. We were very disappointed to find that many of the rooms that were being vacated on the same day as us were not occupied up until the eveing we checked out so see no reason why rooms cannot be kept on until late afternoon which we expected from a 4 star hotel.
The hotel was more popular with Spanish and French families and this was reflected in the food which I found to be a bit hit and miss and we ended up eating out for half of our stay. What spoilt it even more was that the dining room has as many tables and chairs crammed into it as possible which means that your chair is touching someone elses to the side or behind you and there is lots of squeezing past chairs to get to your table or being disturbed whilst trying to eat. The amount of dining tables and chairs, drinks machines and toasting machines did not adequately reflect the number of guests dining.
Similaraly, sun beds and parasols around the pool did not reflect the number of hotel guests. For a 4 star hotel I found it particularly disappointing that we had to get up and queue for the pool area to be opened at 9 o'clock in order to get a much needed parasol for the children - beds we could live with out but shade we could not.
We didn't tend to stay in the hotel at night a great deal but what we saw of the entertainment it was ok. If you have toddlers there's not a great deal for them to do as the play area by the pool and the kid's club caters more for 3-4yrs plus. All in all we were a bit disappointed.

The place is good for children with 3 pools 1 large 1 childs and 1 coverd there is also a kids club on for 2 hours every day apart for saturday there is also entertaintment on every night. Staff were very friendly cant coment on the food as we were self catering but over all the hotel was very good for familys. As well as couples and groups also cause it is in the fanels area of lloret you got a good nights sleep with very little noise
