I would never return to tossa de mar. the second day of our stay I had my purse stolen by some low life. I went to the local police to report it and nobody could understand me. you see this situation in comedy films you don't expect it in real life! We couldn't use the beach as there were pigeons landing all over the place and as I have a severe bird phobia I was a nervous wreck! back at the hotel there were pigeons around the poolside tables so I couldn't sit there either. the other holidaymakers were mostly unfriendly. I was glad I only booked a weeks purgatory I couldn't have tolerated a fortnight!!!!!!!!!!!

Tossa de mar is lovely, the beach is of very good standard and the town is beautiful. The view from the castle is amazing. I would definatley return to the resort, however i would stay in a different hotel.

We only went into Tossa twice. We had two evening meals out, both were very nice and reasonably priced. We had the 3 course set meals choice. An excellent supermaket, with reasonable prices opposite the san eloy bus stop in Tossa.

Tossa De Mar is a quaint beautiful little town, we loved every minute of being there, we are returning there next year,
Beach is a little hard on the feet but still worth visiting.
The castle is a very nice place to visit, such a beautiful view from the top.
I would recommend this place to anyone, top marks for Tossa De Mar

Tossa de Mar is quite nice itself, nice beach and lots of different shops and bars. Much better than its neighbouring lloret which I found to very seedy.

Tossa de Mar is a lovely resort. If you asked somebody what a mediterranen village should look like - then look no further, you have found it. The beach is beautiful, the surrounding scenery is awesome, there is an old moorish fort overlooking the beach, the streets of the old town are delightful. It is a pleasure to wander aimlessly around the town and We would not hesitate to return.

The resort of Tossa is lovely....really old & quaint especially down near the Fort in amongst the narrow twisting streets. There's lots of restaurants down there,we especially liked C'an Petit for a good steak and we found a nice tapas restaurant near the beach and fort called Kavli (or something like that). There was also a good italian with stunning pizza's called Piccolo Nastra. You'll not be stuck for restaurants there's so many to choose from.
A nice little pub was the San Antoni, relaxed atmosphere with some good tunes of an evening. Also another pub that was small but friendly was the Sherwood.
We found the prices in resort for eating & drinking to be a bit cheaper than other parts of spain & the canaries......extra bonus eh!
Beach was busy every day but the sand is quite granular like little tiny stones so its quite sore to walk on. Good boat trips available from the beach. We done a day time trip to Lloret de Mar.....was glad we were staying in Tossa, Lloret is v.busy & much more commercialised, main street running along beach looks lovely but some of the streets behind look really rundown & tacky. Could imagine at night it'd be a haven for young teenagers & hen and stag doo's....each to their own though. Much preferred the charm of Tossa.
Only negative thing I could say about Tossa was the amount of flies that were about during the day.....they were very annoying especially when you were trying to catch 40winks in the sun. I know hot climates mean more insects but there really were a lot of flies, much more than I've had in any other mediterranean resort. We heard via a rep that it was something that happened at start of Sept every year....not sure how true this was. In saying this although it was a bit annoying it wouldn't put me off returning to Tossa or to the Golden Bahia hotel.

The resort was clean enough, not much going on at night. The beach was horrible it was gravel we went to spend a day there but come straight back to hotel. If you could move san eloy to a busier resort it would be ideal.

The resort Tossa De Mar is beautiful, classic, historical and sophisticated. The castle is a real hightlight - we would walk up there everynight and have a drink. The cobbled streets of the old castle town were quaint and fun - although high heels were a no no! The beach was lovely - shingle saved on covering your room with sand- the sea was quite rough but plenty of people were enjoying it! Would go back here but not to Tossa Beach hotel!

Tossa de Mar is beautiful. Very picturesque, plenty of places to eat and drink and only about 10 mins walk from camp. Our children are 15 and 12 and loved it. Some great walks around the castle and to the lighthouse. We preferred the old part of Tossa as there is so much to see, it has a lovely old world Spanish charm but at the same time it is busy and bustling, would recommend it to anyone and would go again, soon I hope.
