The resort of Tossa de Mar is lovely. It's very spanish with tiny winding streets and a beautiful castle. The beach is not sandy, it is tiny little stones, but it's clean and well worth a day or two away from the hotel pool.
There are a few rides for small children and trampolines for the older kids on the sea front but on the whole this is a quiet, pretty resort...

Did not like tossa at all, no room to move, small shingle beach & not good shops.

The best part of the holiday was our visit to the water park in Lloret De Mar by bus and it actually stayed sunny that day! The only people I would recommend this holiday too is older couples without kids that like sightseeing and just somewhere to sleep at night. Dont go here for the pools as they are tiny and if you want a beach holiday this i not for you as the beach is shingle stones and kills your feet!
A quaint spanish town but not for families and kids. Wouldn't go again. P.s dont ever fly with Ryan Air either they cancelled our flight on way home and we were stranded for 36 hours gave us no food vouchers or accomoodation lookily had a credit card with us to pay for hotel for nighy. Total night mare really.

The resort was fantastic. Full of narrow winding streets that were full of character.
Entertainment on site was fine but aimed exclusively at families.
The beach is shingle but posed no problems. Easier to wash off.

We were very surprised about the resort as it was not far from LLoret. The resort was fantastic, really lovelly, cobbled streets, lovelly restaurants and bars very nice if you want a nice fairly quiet break. The beach is a bit shingly, but it is very pretty on sea front. We took the little train up to the castle which is on the sea front and it was gorgeous, especially when lit up at night. There were more shops than what we thought would have, loads of never ending little streets and alleyways, we will definately go back. The resort was very clean as well, also offering a bus service to Barcelona. A word of warning if you go there though as 1 fanta and 1 large beer cost 28 euros because we sat outside!

Tossa has a place close to my heart. A small town with a very Spanish feel, and I think the renovations to the Villa Vella are tremendous.

Didn't go into the resort for entertainment so can't really comment. The beach was clean, but a little bit gritty on the feet!

Tossa is still a lovely unspoilt resort to travel to. Perfect for families and couples who want to meander through the old town shops and find lots of good restaurants to eat in. There is a nice mix of people from all Nationalities.

Tossa is really pretty with small coves with sandy beaches. Cobbled streets and a good selection of resaurants. We weren't in for the entertainment so can just judge by other's comments.

Very pretty resort not what i thought it was going to be and since they cant build more than a few storeys high - i imagine will stay this way. Narrow winding lanes with tapas bars and little gift shops. A fine shingle beach with clear water - not what i thought for the costa brava at all!! Visited first in 1980 and hasnt changed much at all. Will definately visit again
