Location
Both children (ages 14 and 11) thoroughly enjoyed it and we hardly saw them once they got involved in Wavelength Kids club and made friends.
The facilities were excellent.
Plenty of space around the pool even if you had a lay-in with fresh beach towels every day. The swimming pool at the hotel was never overcrowded and my son reliably informed me the Beach Club pools were good but a bit cold.
The restaurant was fine. I would not class it as 4* food but there was always plenty of variety in the evenings with extras such as freshly made pancakes and themed evenings. The other restaurants in the complex are Mexican and Italian which you have to book before 11.00 in the morning. There is not much variety on the menu but the Italian was quite nice.
The hotel staff were always friendly and helpful.
The hotel rooms are the best we have ever stayed in. Definitely 4* and plenty of room. We had a second floor room overlooking the pool with a sea view which was great but spoke to people who had rooms overlooking the mountain and the railway line and they had no complaints.
The First Choice reps were available all day in their office which is based in the hotel reception.
The First Choice entertainment team were resident and worked very hard from 10.00 in the morning to 12.00 midnight. The entertainment they put on was always enjoyable, especially from Jason. He had me in tears of laughter on more than one occasion. There were other shows like Flamenco dancing and a magic show which were all very entertaining and the resident band Intuition grew on us as the holiday went on. There was a mini disco for the little ones and it was good fun to watch 3 and 4 year olds doing the club dances to Cartoon Heroes and the Cha Cha slide!! The grown ups got their chance at the party dancing at 11.00pm.
Even though we were there at the height of the season and the hotel was full, there was never a huge queue for the all-inclusive drinks at the outside bars.
The location of the hotel would be quite difficult if you are self catering as it was not within walking distance of any restaurants or bars. However, it is on the coastal road (not a motorway as some reviewers have stated) between Benalmadena and Fuengirola with bus stops both ways just outside the hotel. Either direction gets you to the town in 15 minutes but it is usually standing room only.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and have already booked to come back next year with six of our friends. Can't say more than that.

The staff were polite and helpful but I found it took me nearly a hour to get a tuna sandwich which is a very long time.
The location was awful you had to get a taxi or bus any where and the taxis where expensive and the bus was never on time.

The pool is fantastic. The kids loved it as it is huge.
The entertainment could have been better but the children

The hotel location was very poor, we were out in the middle of nowhere, even the beach was quite a walk, with a busy main road to cross.
The hotel staff were friendly and funny. The entertainment was average, but after two weeks we had had enough, because it was very repetive.
We had a nice time but we wouldn't want to go back!

Before going to the holiday village we had never had such an amazing holiday. From the minute we stepped off the plane we knew it would be great but we didnt expect it to be as good as it was.
There were lots of teenagers our age there and we made alot of friends from ireland.we liked watching the football everyday as we could sunbathe aswell as cheer for our friends.
We made friends with people we still speak to now.Our favorites where the irish twins Jon and Connor and the Londoners. Not forgettin Scotlander and Birmingham Adam.
We loved doing the party dances every night and becasue we look so alike we actually were chosen to get up on stage to dance with the reps on our last night to the song StarTrecking. We were over the moon about that and made sure we got all the songs when we got back.Everyone takes part in the dances and it is so much fun.
The Resident duo intution where amazing. We were there biggest fans we made sure we had front row seats when they were on.there were loads of things to do during the day but we prefer to just sunbathe and make friends.
Of a night we would go for a meal in one of the beautiful restaurants our favorite was the Italian. We went many times and Gave a big tip on the last night because it was so good. Everyone our age tended to sit outside and have fun. Everyone knew each other and the majority of the people we got along with.
The staff where so friendly and even invited us out with them. they were really nice and very helpful.
Especially the reception staff who helped us when we lsot our key. We were very forgetful.
We tended to go to the snack bar by the stage and we got along with them great. The lifeguards were also very friendly and liked to hear what England was like.
The Holiday village was very secure and you felt safe walking round. You had to carry your pass around with you at all times, apart from,if you knew the staff like us.
We found the shop very good and we stocked up on our favourite snacks before returning home. There was an arcade but we didnt really go in cause there were other things to do during the day.
We found the Staff friendler than the Reps. The Reps didnt seem to like us much because we made too much noise according to them but no one who stayed there at the same time as us complained. The staff always found the time to chat to us and we even had a conversation with the manager. The staff knew we were self catering and so would give us free Cokes or Slushes when they were in a good mood.
We would definatly return to the Holiday Village. We talk about it all the time even though it was a year and 4 months ago. We really miss it and people we know have chosen to go there on our recommendation. That holiday was amazing and we miss the people a lot.
We would like to return to see the Staff again and we would try an persuade the people we have made friends to go back with us.
We are so happy we got the chance to visit this place and wouldnt hesitate about going back.

If you read some of the reviews on here, it makes you wonder why people bother going on holiday! If you don't like kids, then don't go to a hotel aimed at them and if you can only eat egg and chips then stay at home- otherwise you will have a great time like we did, would definately go again.
Cleanliness- immaculate rooms and the general appearance of the hotel was great.
Food- brilliant, kids could have whatever they wanted and always found something they liked. The Italian restaurant was very nice.
The location was the only thing that let this hotel down, but with kids we didn't want to go out of the complex anyway and they were more than happy for two weeks, never complained they were bored and always had something to do.
No problems with trains or roads as some people have said.
The staff were great no problems.
The kids loved the entertainment and the mini cinema was great to let them calm down at the end of the day while we sat and had a quiet drink in the piano bar.

Anyone afraid of heights be warned the lifts are glass and the numbers of the floors a bit misleading we were on floor four but this is actually floor six, there is a four foot walkway outside the room with a sheer drop, with a glass balustrade.
The food in the hotel is good, the drinks available for all inclusive are not as good as the paid for. The ques are bad and service is slow due to lack of staff. This is the only hotel i have stayed where all inclusive does n`t mean that, only two bars were free all the time, the bar at the beech club everything has to be paid for, this area however is excellent and we made full use of it.
safety here is very good with life guards on everypool. Lots of things for upto 13 year olds but not good for teenagers, drunken teenagers is not a problem as they are not allowed to drink onsight even if they have an adult band.
transfer to and from the airport was good, the trip to Gibraltar and Puerto Banus is very good although the shopping not as cheapnfered except for dutyfree(only 200 cigs and one litre spirits per over 18yrs)
Entertainment for anyone over 14 is limited. This place is brilliant for families with small children, its very safe with lots on offer.

Travelled with 4 adults and 2 children on an All Inclusive basis. On our arrival at the airport, we were given checkin forms to fill out to speed up procedures when we arrvied at hotel. Fortunately, when we arrived our rooms were ready. Not to be disappointed very large and bright rooms, fridge was filled up daily with soft drinks. bathroom very big. Large balcony brilliant pool/sea view.
Woke up early Sunday morning went out on balcony to see people (like ants) rushing to get sunbeds and parasols (this was about 7.45-8.00 am) So each morning alarm was set. As having small children we needed parasols for shelter as weather lovely and hot.
Snack bar by the pool served until 6 pm, service was ok waiting time again depended on how many staff were on. This served chips, pizzas and general snacky food together with drinks and ice creams.
Dining room of an evening seems to be dress in whatever, did not seem to follow any strict code, men were wearing shorts. Service in the dining room was a bit slow if you requested another drink, but whats the rush your on your hols!!
Piano bar very relexaing only had a quick peak in the Irish bar as this caters for over 18s but this looked good and big. Take a look at the inside pool and gym when you are down there! If you are going with children to this hotel, which majority of people will have, the kids clubs are brilliant and the reps work really hard for all the kids to enjoy themselves.
Entertainment again mostly geared around children. Gets very repetitive and to be honest very boring (watch out for flying ants).
Beach club, very nice has an adult only area with jacuzzi beds and hammocks, kids fountains and kids pools, a pirate boat with a small slide for kids to go down.
Watch out for loose tiles in this pool, as the day we were there three people had cut there feet. Plently of life guards around so you do feel safe if your children wander off into the pool. Worth a visit for a morning or afternoon. Also not so busy and therefore no need to reserve a sunbed!!
Bus stop just outside the hotel which run every 15 mins and very easy to get around. Hotel slightly out of it, but within a 15 mins walk will take you to a beach. Overall I think once they get a few teething problems sorted out then this hotel will be well worth the 4* rating.
I would not come to this hotel on a self catering basis with children as pepole we had spoken to found it very expensive. Therefore Hotel, food, drinks and weather very good just don't forget to pack your alarm clock for those sunbeds!!!
