went to the sunclub in august and had a ball. loved every minute of it. the entertainment was great for the kids and adults alike. the pool was lovely and cool in the morning. didnt have much of the food but no complaints about what we did have. happy hour was used to its best potential by us and the kids. daisy and the gang were brilliant each day and night with the entertainment, kids helped out regurlarly. for food outside hotel i recommend "the smugglers inn" if you can eat lots. try the rack of ribs. last night was brill with a cross dressing night, anyone who was there then will remember nadia."i live with HIM/HER. would go to sunclub again no problem.the staff were excellent throughout the two weeks.

The entertainment was really good the staff are a laugh and fab.

The location was good and my apartment was lovely a bit noisey because it was on the bottom floor thats the only thing I can moan about apart from that it was great.

The pool was fab

Had a fantastic holiday in the sun club, the hotel was just perfect and very clean! Sophie our rep was brilliant and really helpfully. Sophie really helped us out!

Our kids had the best holiday ever and that was because of Emma and Claire they were the kids reps there and they did a brilliant job, so helpful and always had time for the kids in and out of kids club. Our kids are very shy but thanks to Emma and Claire that all changed the girls really miss them and we hope to see them next year!!!! Good luck girls and thanks you really made our holiday.

We booked the Sunclub purely based on First Choices brochure description, in particular with regard the kids club and baby sitting availability. When we got there we found there was no baby sitting available and the kids club was only on for a round 2-3 max per day/night. The brochure did clearly detail kids club times as a guide only but it basically listed activites all day and night. 3 hours is a little far off to be ignored.
Another little moan our kids did not get the kids club outfits until the 12th day!

Other than that the Appts were spotless, we actually has a maid in daily. Food in the hotel was dire. No big deal just 2 mins walk and there are plenty of eating joints around, all better value.

The Sunclub is actually in Cap Salou about 20-30 mins walk with kids or 5 mins on the bus but the drivers charge you for little ones as per adults. Costs were 1.20 euro for the bus.

Staff were all very friendly, there is a Geordie women on reception who was fluent in Spanish....very helpful.

Entertainment again was very poor. It consisted of Bingo, Water Polo in the day. Repeated every day! At night they managed two decent nights out of the fourteen with external entertainers coming otherwise it's. Bingo, The Peg Game and a couple of songs for the kids.

The pool is absoultely freezing, really puts you off getting in. This is due to the fact that the Sun does not get onto the pool untils 12:00 - 13:00 and it has little time to warm up! It is also absolutely mobbed with dive bombers, water fighters etc. I suppose to be expected being a family appts. A little to much though!
Next with the pool. There is a tight time scale for opening: 10:00-18:00. You can't go near it any earlier than 10 in the morning and its closed sharpish at 6 every day! Never experienced this before!

Last one there is not enough beds. If you are not queing for 09:45, then you will not get a bed by the pool!!! Simply not enough beds! We suffered with towels being moved etc and rows over beds, not much fun!!

This was the third time that we have visited Cap Salou, the first time at the Sun Club. I was concerned before I went re the comments about the noise but I did not experience any problems (The walls are the same thickness as any other hotel I have visited).

The hotel is well situated, only a short distance from the local bars and beach.

The hotel was clean and the towels were changed every other day, the bedding was changed once a week (this was the only time our beds were made by the maids) not quite what we are used to, but it only took a few minutes to do it ourselves anyway.

The food served at the Hotel was ok but I recommend you eat in Cap Salou. The service at the bar came to be a standing joke amoung our party (they had two speeeds really really really really slow or ignore you completely. However a plus point was they were so useless they forgot to charge you.

Sunbeds were a real problem, you had to be at the pool at 9.45 to stand a chance of a bed, what was infuriating, people would go down at this time and reserve the beds (usually putting two towels over five beds) and as the sun did not come out around the pool until 12.30ish) they would disappear down to the beach until then. They would then come back after lunch and expect to still have their beds (yes I am the person who removed the towels when this happened with the Reps approval of course.

Comments about the pool being cold were nonsense infact during the afternoon it became quite warm not at all refreshing to cool you off.

Entertainment staff were excellent with a really first class team (big thanks to Crazy Daisy the Sweating Minger, and Kirsty 'there not real' for making our holiday fantastic, Chunk and Paul - touch you tighs send kisses). The kids disco was put on quite late usually around 10.30 to 11.30ish, this wasn't fair on the younger children but as ours were from aged 9 and up it was not a problem.

I personally had a wonderful time at the Sun Club but I was with a large party (6 Adults 6 kids)and a holiday is what you make of it. I would recommend sun worshipper's to go to the beach.

The apartments were clean & spacious with a large balcony & plenty of storage. the staff were very friendly. entertainment was not too good, the pool was always freezing, not much room around pool. the place was overrun with kids who ran wild & were generally annoying. the food in the cafe looked good but wasnt.

Just returned from a weeks holiday in this hotel. Spotless accommodation, spacious and well equipped kitchen area. Even at this time of year, very noisy, with main culprits being the entertainment team, especially one female with the most harsh accent I have ever enountered. So loud it bellowed throughout the apartments and impossible at get the gist of her accent or (roar). Also attempted to have a meal in the restaurant, attached to the entertainment area but despite great service and food, the lion deafened us.
If you need a decent nights sleep - don't go here.

This accomodation is a little gem!! The food is excellent and the staff really friendly. we were on a high floor so we didnt have much bother with noise but you do get the impression a noisey neighbour would be hard to ignore.

salou is a 15 min walk away but the bus is very cheap and run frequently.

Cannot fault this Hotel at all, and if you do go, make sure you check out the 5th floor sun terrace/gym for a nice breeze and a wee escape from the kids.
