the hotel was better than we expected after reading various bad reports. It was clean the food was good with differnt dishes every day and hot - entertainment was excellent and the staff very good and yes we would go again

We stayed in the Villa Marina Hotel itself, although the cleanliness of the hotel was fantastic, we found that the hotel food wasnt much to be desired as there wasnt much of a selection, the location itself is ok if ur after a quiet holiday as it is a taxi journey into Salou itself although its only 6 Euros. The Entertainment was rubbish, maybe this was down to the time of year we went, it was full of old Spanish couples who again were very rude and pushy. They played Spanish music all night without a thought to the English people staying in the hotel. We did get a english entertainer in the hotel Carl, who i must point out was fantastic, he tried his best for us with reguards to getting us some time in the evening but the management would only allow him 30 mins. What can u achieve in 30 mins? We ended up going off the hotel complex for entertainment which is unfair if u pay for an all inclusive holiday as u tend not to take much money with u.
I also found it rather annoying that the restuarant staff told u when to eat and where to sit, if u werent in at the time given u lost ur table and had to wait till one became free.
The Bar staff however where brilliant very friendly and warm, restuarant staff again not much to be desired for.

i found this hotel to be one of the best i have visited the staff was very helpful and very freindly the food was of the utmost standered and plenty of it when ever you wanted it i have no fault with any thing to do with this hotel and wound go again in a minute it was the only place i did not want to come home from

We stayed in the apartments a short distance from the hotel. The apartment was spacious, clean and came complete with cooker, fridge and washing machine! We also had the use of a pool belonging to the apartment block which was much quieter than using either of the hotel pools. Only downfall to apartments is that there is no air conditioning, although you can hire fans from the hotel.

We have stayed twice in the apartments (two years running) and we have not found cause for concern regarding the food. There is always plenty of choice and even the kids found something they liked at every meal. Normally an excellent carvery of an evening at the bottom of the restaurant - be sure to check it out, if you don't use the bottom half of the restaurant for seating you may not know it is there!

The Hotel is about a twenty minute walk away from the beach but there are plenty of shops to look in and there are no hills to climb. The hotel runs a bus to the beach if you do not wish to walk.

The staff are helpful and the Manager is always around to keep an eye on things. We have been two years running and the majority of the staff were the same second time around. The entertainers work very hard both with children and adults and if you are prepared to join in you will enjoy yourself.

It is a family orientated hotel so if you do not want children running around choose a different hotel.

As All Inclusive guests we had to queue for drinks (only two per person at each visit) but the bar staff worked hard and we didn't have to queue for long.

All in all we had a very good time. I do think the apartments are worth spending a little more on as guests in the hotel said rooms were a little cramped. I think the hotel offers good value for money.

Salou has plenty to do with the Universal Theme Park just up the road (well worth a visit) and a Water Park not far away.

Look out for pickpockets on the streets though, I was lucky as the pickpocketer was not very good and I caught him in the act and he ran off emptyhanded.

We had a great holiday, the hotel was very clean and well kept,the food was a change from home but still lovely. The location was exellent it was a 5 minute bike ride from the hotel to the beach and you got a free welcome drink on your first arival to the beach,there was lots of activitys such as volley ball and rounders.
All staff at the hotel was very friendly and was always smiling. The entertainment of the hotel wasnt much good but there was lots of pubs and clubs surounding us in salou with friendly spanish people pleased to meet you,me and my family plan on going again next year.

We stayed in one of the hotel appartments. We were initially pleasantly surprized by the standard of appartment. Clean, spacious, two balconies. However we didn't realise till later that the holiday appartments were mixed with local residents appartments. Some of these local residents didn't take too kindly to having holiday makers sharing their building and facilities, and showed it.
Hotel was reasonably clean. Food reasonable. Restaurant very busy.
Entertainment staff were lovely and did a good job.
Big, big disappointment for us was the size or the swimming pools. They were very small, not nearly big enough for size of hotel. We would not return to this hotel.
