Not a 4star and dated, and some staff members rude , we book this hotel on its ratings , but it about a 3star

Request a room that is facing away from the pool area if you want quiet at night. The rooms facing out have great views and are also very quiet at night even though there is live entertainment going on.

They have water stations dotted around the hotel, which is a great idea. You buy a recyclable bottle for €4 and you can fill it as many times as you like! Saves on buying lots of plastic bottles from supermarkets etc. Eco Friendly ?

Pool view rooms are good, if you want to watch the entertainment from your room. The entertainment is over by 11pm so no problem with noise, unless you go to bed early. Calypso 1 is the block with the restaurant, bars, etc. so I thought it the best choice

didn't see much of the resort, only walked around a couple of times, the resort is a lot cleaner and smarter than it was a few years ago, lots of bars/clubs/restaurants & shops
the town beach was extremely busy but if you put yourself out there are smaller beaches set in coves all of wide stretches of golden sand

This is the 4th time we have been to Salou and always have a good time there. The resort is a typical Spanish beach resort with plenty of tourist shops and a few good supermarkets. The beach was lovely as usual and very clean and plenty of lifeguards and toilet facilities. The only reason we wouldn't return is that we think we have seen all there is to see in four visits.

Salou is a lovely flat resort. The promenade is fabulous. There are fountains all the way down and at night are lit up with changing lights. On Sunday's at 10.00pm at the big fountain (at the bottom of the promenade) is a light and lazer show the fountain sort of dances to the music and lights its very good and free!
There are palm trees and flowers everywhere its very pretty.
Everywhere is very well kept and clean.
If you want clubs there are quite a few but if you prefer something quieter there are bars and eateries everywhere.
Be prepared to spend money as drinks are not cheap. They only have our brands so are at a premium.
You can get 5litre bottles of water for 1 euro which was very good.
I would defiantly return to Salou.

The resort of solou isn't as big as I thought, but has all the amenities you could wish for, which make's the resort ok for walking round. The new section is very good, and the old section is as good as the new but for different stile.

We really love Salou as there is something there for everyone what ever their ages. The beach is beautiful and very clean. The fountain show at the far end of the beach where they change colour and formation to music with help of lasers should not be missed. This was on at the weekends and bank holidays. We visited the California bar many times as a pint was very cheap at one Euro twenty five and the staff very friendly. We ate out at the "old" Brown Cow twice and found the food to be delicious and very reasonably priced. We will be back one day

Just turn left outside the hotel first bar you come to, local beer 1 euro, wine one euro, John Smith 2 euro. Across the road, the Old Brown Cow, best food in the resort

The resort was La Pineda in Spain. it was very clean, no litter on the floor, the beach was very clean also. the resort had a lot going on lots of bars and places to eat.
I would visit the resort again.

This is the 6th time I've been to Salou and my husband's 3rd time and we love it. Got stung by a shopkeeper on the 1st day, my husband needed a lip balm for the sun and ended up paying 4 euros for it, what a rip off. Apart from that we had a brilliant holiday. Salou has everything, if you can stand the hustle and bustle of loads of families. This is not the place to go if you want a quiet holiday. Loads and loads of kiddies in pushchairs and if you're not fond of all the noise then don't go here. Loads of things to do, the beach is brilliant, the sea is so welcoming, the sand goes on for miles. Port Aventura is a stone's throw away with the water park next to it. There is also La Pineda's original water park which we went to, my husband had a ball there. Loads of bars, restaurants etc but a lot of the usual tack being sold everywhere. You're never bored here, just got something for everyone. Barcelona is a 2 hour bus journey away but well worth the trip. Las Ramblas is an experience you shouldn't miss. We will always go back to Salou, not every year but every few years. We will never tire of it.
