I had a very good time on my holiday and would say to anyone who is going there will have a very good time.
The entertainment is very funny and the toilets are very clean and so are the hotels.
The food is lovely.
The animation team are very friendly! I would especially like to say hello to Kimo and I miss him very much! Lots of love Becky xx

Firstly when I arrived I wanted to catch an early flight home, because it seemed no one spoke English there. Soon enough though we begun to fit in and found out that most people did speak English after all.
The room we were given was not up to standard and resembled a three star hotel. After I complained the staff gave us a better & cleaner room on the third floor, which is where we stayed for the rest of the time.
The main let down was the food, on a self-serve basis, we found ourselves eating the same food every day. Also there was not a wide selection of food anyway, ranging from 10-15 dishes.
By far, the best quality was the location of the hotel. There were many shops right outside the hotel where you could haggle with the shopkeepers. The city centre was only five minutes drive away as well.

Hi
I have just returned from Les Orangers and did not find the experience a good one.
When we arrived in our room the bathroom basin was blocked and full of dirty water. The room was not clean. The staff cleared the sink by using the tumbler, towels and bathroom mat. I was not impressed with the level of hygiene as the tumbler and towel were left in the bathroom for us to use. Then a bed broke as we sat on it.
As follows are the plus and minuses of the hotel:
Minuses:
Very basic bedrooms
Inadequate cleaning the bedrooms/bathrooms were filthy and the sheets were not changed during our 2 week stay
Terrible food - same thing every night and we all got tummy upsets. No effort made to make food interesting or varied.
Swimming pools not looked after properly when we arrived it was very cloudy.
2 snooker tables broken for the whole of our stay.
Pluses:
Good air conditioning
Very dedicated entertainment team although amateurish and designed solely for under 10's.
Pleasant staff
Beautiful gardens
Lovely location on beach
I would not return to this hotel as would advise anyone to think very seriously before booking. While we were there we met dozens of guests who felt the same way as us. One family even cut the holiday short and had to pay

Me, 11 years, and my family returned on 15/8/04 after 2 weeks stay. Excellent holiday, hotel was fabulous. The reception decor and ceilings were out of this world, with true Arabic mosaics and artwork. All the staff were very friendly with adults and children. The food was good but there wasnt much of a selection for children. They did chips and pizza but the pizza was always cold! I hope you like eggs because they do every type of egg you could imagine for breakfast! The entertainers were funny and did daytime activities with children such as football, mini golf and tennis. The pool is very clean and big so you can have a good swim. DO NOT get a henna tattoo as i got burnt by one which ruined a bit of my holiday. The surroundings were fantastic, filled with lemon and jasmine trees which smelt good. Horse riding and camel riding is a must.I would definately go back with my family again but two of us ended with a tunisian tum, my mum and my dad.

Just returned from 2 glorious weeks in Hammamet, staying at Les Orangers Beach Resort, our first ever visit to Tunisia. The hotel is situated in beautifully, well-maintained gardens with direct access to the hotel's own stretch of golden, sandy beach.
On arriving at the hotel just before 7am, we were greeted by the porter who helped us with the bags and then were given fresh orange juice while we filled out the cards. We had booked a superior room, third floor with sea view and we weren

I have just returned from my first ever trip abroad from Hotel Les Orangers and I have to admit everything was absolutely superb. I never thought that I would have as much fun as I did and made some great friends along the way which was an added bonus.
I was in awe at how well the hotel was run. From cleaning staff, to waiters, to maintenance staff, to the entertainment staff everyone was well organised and knew exactly what they were meant to be doing. When we arrived we were handed glasses of fresh Orange juice whilst we filled out our cards and then were escorted to our rooms by the porter.
All staff members were extremely friendly and always seemed genuinely pleased to see you in a morning or in the evening. It was quite easy to build up friendships with more than one of the staff members - espescially the entertainment team.
Having a wheat allergy I found that all meals I had in the restaurant catered to my needs without my having told them of the condition. Each night I knew that there would be things on the menu that I could and not have to worry about. I practically lived off the watermelon as I have never in my entire life tasted fruit as fresh and sweet as that. It actually became a standing joke between myself and our waiter Ayachi!
I particularly enjoyed all of the organised entertainment at night and felt that if the entertainers hadn't been on the case then I would most certainly have spent most of my nights looking after two young children - my cousins. Which I was ever so greatful for! I think that Zou, Ti Ti, Raoulf, Mo Mo and Kanou are all exceptional entertainers for the hours that they put in (at least 12 a day). My favourite night time entertainment was the cabaret show on our last night (27th July). Though I never knew that there was someone dressed up as a hula girl in the Village People - Kanou!
I would recommend Hotel Les Orangers to anyone making a family visit to Tunisia as it catered towards all age groups and never failed on any ocassion to let me down. I'm already arranging my holiday there for next year!

This is the second year that we have visited this lovely hotel. The location, view etc is lovely. The staff are the friendliest people I have ever met. We were invited back to many of their homes for a traditional meal which is very basic but if your not fussy its a pleasure to dine with people that are so poor yet so happy. Fish is the main dish served in their homes along with tails and heads.
Right from booking in on reception where if you are lucky you will be greated by Mohammed. The waiter that we adore is Lotvi 2 we nick named him Charlie because he looks like Charlie Chaplin and loves to bark like a small dog to make you jump in the evening. He has had personal tragedy recently losing his whole family in a car crash yet carries on joking and making your holiday perfect, he only had two days off paid sick leave, we love Charlie.
Ther are so many lovely waiters here are a few Lotvi 1, Mohammed, Jimmy, and many more.
The food is the only disappointment at this fantastic hotel. The first week you would think what is she on about, but when the second week comes and the food is still boring you start to eat out or miss meals, but don't let this put you off you can get some lovely meals at the many cafes up the road for a few pounds.
Amol does a wonderful massage and is truely amazing at getting rid of aches and pains.
Ferri who works on the beach at the next hotel does wonderfuil trips to sea, para-gliding, speed boat, jet ski, banana boat, pedlos and a truely fantastic galleon trip. He also speaks very good English and calls us his family. ( Tess & John)
The buffet style eatery does very good meals at excellent prices.
Take a taxi too Hammamet and sit outside the Medina cafe along side the sea and drink coffee, it's amazing watching the world go by.
The hotel is going all inclusive so that should be even better.
The gardens and mini park with internet cafe, riding school with a young lad that we nick-named sexy legs.
The night club is under used we have had the most fantastic night all alone with Charlie as the waiter dancing tha night away with the children.
I am a very over protective mother but I feel my girls are totally safe with the staff.
The entertainment guys are hilarious , this year the fitness instructor was Tee-Tee, who does a great water aerobics class evey morning at 11am. Don't just sit there, get in, it's fun and easy. His side kick is Raolf who speaks perfect English and does day time entertainment. I can't remember the other guys name but he is a lovely young man who gets you up to dance, he had a bad tooth ache when we were there, but would not let us pay for him to go to the dentist, so we supplied him with really strong pain-killers.
The magician and bingo caller is Zoo. Try to get him to sit with you at breakfast or dinner and do some tricks, he is amazing.
A must trip is a taxi ride to Kathageland in Yasmine Hammamett. Do not go on the bumper cars as they are dangerous, but the water ride was so good we stayed on it for five trips. It's a small theme park, only cost about 8 pounds adults and 5 pounds children.
We will defenetly go back next May-June. we are looking for a fort-night in October this year if thge price is right.

MAY 2005 We have recently returned from this hotel and really enjoyed our stay, the all inclusive for us was great and would recommend all inclusive to families.
The hotel was kept clean at all times.
The hotel food was delicious with plenty of choice for adults and children.
The location of the hotel suited us well as we had sea view and just a very short walk to the beach. It was also a good location to many sites to visit with the childrens fun park close by. Also having shops just outside from the hotel was very handy for your soviners to take back home.
The staff couldn't have been any more friendlier they adored the children and made you feel very welcome.
Entertainment was funny and enjoyable to watch the entertainment team really did work hard.
We are definetly booking to come again next year thats if we can get in as with all these good reports you will be fully booked in no time.
Thankyou to all the staff we met while we were there we did really have a good time and hope to see you all next year.
