The hotel food was ok for the first two nights, afterwards the food seemed to be constantly repeated and didn't always look very pleasant.
Drink choice was little and very weak! Not once did me or my partner get tipsy!
Hotel staff were brilliant and did everything in their power to make the holiday more enjoyable (especially the animation team).
The Entertainment in the evening was poor. As a young couple we expected things to be more lively overall but we had to wait till 9 for the show, which weren't always that brilliant. The night club on site was ok however it didn't open till 11 then closed at 2.
As a first visit to Tunisia, this wasn't the best experience I have had but nevertheless I made every effort to enjoy my holiday.

We had a little bit of an unfortunate start to our holiday when we arrived at the hotel, but this was by no means the fault of the hotel but the travel company and the hotel and staff did all they could to put it right.
The hotel and pools were very clean. Food was good (people seem to forget they are in another country). My partner and daughter are very very fussy and they never went hungry. The al a carte restaurants are certainly worth a visit, beautiful food.
I can understand some people not rating the rooms very well. We unfortunately had two before settling for a beautiful two floor room over looking the slides. The first one we were given was quite old and needed a bit of 'doing up'.
This however is not the reason we moved. We had paid for a sea view room with a balcony and this room did not have either. As mentioned this was no fault of the hotel but the travel company. They did their utmost to make us happy and showed us a couple of rooms before we accepted one. I was told that this room was a newer room and you could certainly tell.
The animation team work non stop and yes sometimes the entertainment leaves a lot to be desired but they are constantly trying to please you and actually a couple of nights the entertainment was good. You have to appreciate the hard work of these people.
The location is very quiet but we were only there for a week and were very lazy, just around the pools or on the beach all day. We did take a taxi into Sousse for a morning and the taxis are cheap enough anyway.
There is the Safari Centre just outside the hotel with a couple of shops and a restaurant in it but that's about it. if you do fancy a trip, the one to el jem to see the ancient Colosseum is great, we loved it.
I would certainly visit this hotel again, its clean, welcoming and safe for your children,(a little girl fell into the pool and the life guard got her before she got wet i'm sure!) The only tip would be..beware of the pillows you may as well sleep on a brick!

Pools and slides excellent.
Food plentiful and varied but more fresh fruit would have been nice.
Animation team hard working and friendly. Entertainment could be better organised but was fun.
Reception staff poor, deliberately misunderstanding your requests, not helpful.
Drink choice and quality poor, watered down, warm, plastic tiny glasses.Have been to better hotels but had an enjoyable, relaxing holiday all the same.

Hotel was spotless. The maids are very cheerful and helpful-they get a great kick out of you saying Asselema(hello) to them and they listen to your accents. Also fresh flower on each bed every other day. Our maid was lovely.
If you want British food-then don't go here go to Spain where it is shoved in your face. This is a International hotel so be prepared to try anything. Various food from Chef doing omelettes, pancakes etc. Chicken/Chicken Pie/Yorkshire pudding/all veg are steamed/chips/pots/pizza/spaghetti bolognese. Also snack bar opened up Noon until 3pm then from 11pm till 1pm outside with pizzas/chips/spaghetti etc-so plenty choose from.
You were given your table no and for the next 2 weeks that was our table for noon/evening (you can sit anywhere at breakfast). You also had choice to go into Tunisian restaurant/Italian once a week. The waiter on the outside tables (older gentleman) was lovely, he was head guy in Tunisan and although 3 course meal he looked after us and we ended up getting a real taste of Tunisian i.e. 6 course meal. Italian was 3 course.
Location: once you come out Houda not much outside except a Supermarket (but like Flintstones design) but couple nice shops. You are in middle Monistiar/Sousse so taxis always outside Hotel-would of liked few shops/pubs to roam around at night, but by the time evening come, you were so tired anyway.
Hotel Staff: Restaurant staff Brilliant Abdul was our waiter brilliant-flowers on table and always watching when finishing.
The Animation Team deserve a Medal!!!!! what a fantastic group lads. Don't turn your head cos they will be up to antics, Madame Me Me was sitting on my hubby knee kissing him, and ended up with shirt off.
They were FANTASTIC! from 09.00 - Noon then 3pm till 10.30 they never stopped and were always smiling and playing tricks on you. getting you to play water polo/belly dancing/aerobics/gymnastics/salsa dancing, bowels - and the usual camp song round the pool every couple hours, if you did'nt join in, then no matter but your cards wee marked for fun time.
I would visit hotel again.

Nothing outside to do unless you got a taxi (very chaep nonetheless).
Animation team worked wonders (Figaro, Bob and all the others)entertaining both the kids and adults although 2 weeks of the same mini disco was tiresome and some shows repeated.
Food and drinks were our biggest disappointments as it was the same sort of thing every day and the queues were a joke
Ice creams only available at lunchtime in egg cups!
Myself and the missus never managed to get even slightly tipsy on the weak beer and spirits.
The First Choice reps were superb (Issam and James)and any problems they seem to sort out themselves.

Food and choice was excellent!!!! - how many Tunisian people could come to Britain and have 'Brik' or cous-cous offerd to them??? - and cooked 'their way'??? - So there is no way that we could expect a 'good 'ole British fry-up' for breakfast!!
GRIPE 1: The spirits were deffinately watered down - and that was before the ice cubes went in - if you drink wine or lager(?) then you'll be ok. We took our own pint glasses (plastic - but hey - they look like glass - test out your local 'S...' supermarket) and the bar staff, once they got used to us - were quite willing to fill them.
The hotel was really clean - pool was spotless.

The food was horrible and the entertainment was none existant, I don't even want to talk about the bar it was that bad.
Even though this was all inclusive we had to eat out as my new wife spent the first ten days on the toilet as you can imagine what a honeymoon we had never again will I travel to this hotel. Most of the british couples were going to the toilet more than they should some even having injections to combat it.
I must say the staff was very helpful and the cleaning staff were great.
The pools were fantastic but never again ever.

Our room was kept clean, but the dirty dishes in the stairwell, blood on the stairs and the distinctly unclean public toilets became a feature of the whole holiday. I constantly carried tissue/toilet paper in my bag due to the lack of it's availability.
The food was diabolical, we survived for the week mainly on salad as any meat was just fat and grissle, and swimming in grease. The rabbit in the rabbit stew definately died of starvation! Cleanliness of the restaurant was also a bit suspect, the same table cloth was on for the entire week (bearing in mind that there are 2 sittings for each meal!), we know because we marked it with lipstick in the corner to check! The constant queues for food and drink became wearing, and 'afternoon tea' was a joke.
We went away expecting to only spend money on any gifts or excursions, however, we spent a fortune going to the one bar in the area to get something decent to eat and a drink that wasn't 90% water.
A number of the staff were courteous, but the rest did let it down. For example, as a male going to the bar, expect to be grunted at, but a female, letched at.
We went away for a week of relaxation after a particularly stressful time, but the constant pestering by the animation team, verged on the insulting. Especially when being called lazy for not wanting to take part in aerobics! One visit to the 'Nightclub' was enough. It didn't open until 11pm and by 12 they had run out of vodka, diet coke, bacardi and Gin. The floor was dangerous to the point where one of us fell over, and it certainly wasn't down to excess alcohol!
Overall, the worst holiday ever and we will not be returning ever again! Infact, it's put us off Tunisia as a whole.

The pool areas are very nice and cleaned every day, the slides are brilliant.
The food choice is really good not a day went by that you couldn't find anything to eat.

The standard of cleanliness in the hotel could not be faulted, staff were constantly cleaning. The rooms were basic but clean and tidy.
The food was mostly on a buffet basis and had something to suit every taste - even like me and very fussy. There are also two a la carte restaurants, one Italian and one Tunisian, although we never tried these the reports were good.
The location of the hotel is pretty good. It is only a few km from Sousse where there are excellent shopping facilities and plenty of nightlife. Likewise it is close to Monastir. There is go karting and horse riding located very close to the resort and the hotel itself is on a lovely beach. The pool area is fantastic and in summer has a snack bar and bar right on the pool. This area is also kept very clean.
There is the "animation" team who provide the entertainment both for children during the day and also the adults in the evening. The kids there all seemed to be having a good time and plenty of activities were arranged.
The entertainment in the evening is somewhat basic but not too bad. There is a nighclub/disco on site as well open till 2am. The music is a bit dated but is still handy for a late drink and dance.
I couldn't fault the staff in any way. They will do anything they can to help with any problems and are all very polite and courteous.
I would have no hesitation whatsoever in visiting this hotel again and look forward to doing so.
