we stayed in this hotel august 2008 it was the second time returning to tunisia we thought it was the worst holiday ever the food was always covered in red sauce anything you name it, it was covered in red sauce every night. we had to eat out every night. when we were at the pool a man would come to you at least 8-12 times a day asking you do you want to go on a camal ride after asking again and again ...... the hotel entertainment was only good for a four year old and under nothing for teenagers or adults . every morning at 6am you would hear a noise outside blasting music while he shouted into the mic helloooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo until everyone was up it would go on from 6am to 7pm ......
staff were very rude shaking the tip jar when you payed for a drink or staring at you when you buy alchol and laughing and speaking in a different launguage (sorry for spelling)we would never go back ever !!!!!!! worst hotel ever

the hotel in itself was great, on arrival the staff were pleasent, friendly and quick to assist. The hotel has a great impact as you walk in and looks great. The room which was described as a partial sea view, really did mean partial. The sea could be seen at a very far distance from our room.
The animation team, Patrik, Momo, Sim Sim, Coco, Z-man were absolutely fantastic, they really do everthing they can to make sure all ages have a great time., They were fantastic with the kids, and the adults alike. Am missing them now that we are back home!

The hotel is lovely and clean. On appearance the hotel is fantastic however, once into the holiday it starts to deteriorate. We went on an all inclusive package and was informed we had 4 restaurants to choose from and 4 bars. Total rubbish! We had one bar and one all inclusive restaurant which we could use - the rest you had to pay for.

Drinks- all of the alcohol tasted the same and was well watered down. Soft drinks were usually warm. Only offered one type of beer on the all inclusive package.

Food - by the end of the holiday was sick of pasta and chips. Food was almost the same with a few alterations.

Breakfast - bread and rolls were always stale as they were left out from 6.30 am. Offered a rubbish variety for breakfast (boiled eggs, sausages that looked like they needed to be cooked, croissants which were usually stale, egg plant was served one morning)

Lunch and dinner - usually both very similar (pasta, chips, potatoes, fish, meat (usually undercooked), rice with no taste. Only good thing about both lunch and dinner is the pizza and onion bread at the end of the buffet section.

Location of the hotel - lovely location for the beach however, not much else around in terms of walking distance.

Entertainment / Staff - Staff were friendly however, favoured the french and german much more than english.
Entertainment was fine - they cater for more families than couples.

This review is to re-assure people that are reading bad reviews that this hotel is fine. We went for 1 week for a bit of relaxation and sun. Our main holiday is to the Maldives so we are used to superior accomodation but found the Liberty to be fine and superior to some of the other Eoropeon A/C hotels we have been to. People with small children may have a problem as the catering was aimed at the adult taste[chicken nuggets and fish fingers you will not find here]. Drinks were plentiful and did not appear `watered`. Great last minuite holiday for 1 week for lazy days by the pool.

We stopped in the ramarda liberty for 1 week but all wished it was longer.

The animation team worked there socks off to keep everyone entertained and got everybody involved with the games and dancing. They were all very friendly ( espesh zizoo aymean nina and patrick )and came over for a chat very offten. The show they put on on the night was entertaining and funny with sumthing differnt everyday ( which they make a fresh show everynite and dont repeat agin)

The rooms were very clean and beding and towels got changed everyday !

The food on offer was lovely .. But if you like plain english meals you would disagree as you had to be open to try!!

The drinks from the bar were ok but tasted abit waterd down.. But if you went to the zanzibar the drinks were alot better!!

The pool was fantastic very clean and was checked several times a day.

The spa was out of this world great for a relaxtion well worth the money!!

Overall the hotel was fantastic we are bookin to go back again in october and we all cant wait.

The only thing we found annoying was the bar staff didnt smile very often !

This was not my first choice of hotel as my booking was changed at the last minute by the provider. Nor was the board basis. I book half board but found myself "upgraded" to All-inclusive.

Public areas were all spotless although I do feel that the maid service was a bit slapdash.

Food was not as good as it could be for a 4star hotel. Choice of fresh fruit was very limited for Tunisia. Top tip - avoid the salamiburger!

Location is a bit out of the way. Fine if all you want to do is chill by the pool. Pool area is large and well maintained. Gardens are also pleasant. The Spa centre is very new and state of the art. One of the best things about the hotel. Massage with Rain - bring it on!.

I didn't see any of the evening entertainment so can't really comment there. While I wouldn't stay here again I would visit and use the spa facility.

I visited the Ramada Liberty over easter with a few friends. While the weather wasn't great, the hotel couldn't have been better. The staff were friendly and the animation team worked incredibly hard to make sure everyone enjoyed themselves.
The hotel was very clean as was the pool area and gardens. The outside pool was a little on the chilly side though!
Location was probably the worst thing about the hotel, as it wasn't within walking distance of anywhere and was quite close to the airport. However, there were always taxis waiting outside to take us about and for a relatively cheap price.
The Spa facilities were beautiful and the staff friendly and helpful- water masssages- yes please!
If you are planning on staying at this hotel, don't expect to get Enlgish food (sausage and chips!). There was a wide selection of food at all times, the Tunisian food night was definately the best!
Overall a great hotel with lovely staff and great food, wouldn't hesitate to go back.

My daughter and I stayed in the Ramada Hotel, Skanes over New Year. The Hotel was very clean and the staff very friendly. The food was plentiful and there was a good choice at each meal time. Despite the fact that the hotel had not catered for New Year before it was very enjoyable - although it did go on abit! The only downside to the Hotel was that it was miles from anywhere which meant nothing was within walkable distance and being two females on our own meant we did tend to stay in the hotel and not venture out as we were 'hassled' alot. However we did not allow this to spoil our break. The weather unfortunately was not good but my daughter spent alot of her time in the inside swimming pool and on the afternoons I could I sat outside or in doors and caught up on my reading. Drinks were freely available at any time.
We did go to Sousse and visited the market where we got well into the swing of hassling - only pay about 1/3 of what the vendors are asking for! The camel ride was organised by the man in the hotel and not the tour guide and it was excellent value for money - I haggled with him as well much to him amusement.
The beach was a few minutes walk away. It was very clean and we were amazed by the scencery around us as we were walking. It wasn't warm enough to sit on and so walking was all we did.
Despite all the good points about the hotel, of which there were many, we wouldn't go back to this hotel as it was too far out.
