The hotel was very clean and the staff extremely friendly and helpful, we had a room partly overlooking the wasteland but also with views of the sea.
Although the hotel is near the airport the plane noise was not a problem. The food was good but did tend to get a bit samey towards the end of the holiday. The hotel is right on the beach with plenty of watersports which we all enjoyed especially the kids. The entertainment organised during the day is good, but obviously you do need to participate to get the benefit. The evening entertainment we found to be mediocre. On the whole we had a great time, I would recomend this hotel for a lovely relaxing holiday.

the hotel staff, food and service were excelent. we did get a view of a palm tree and wasteland at first but were moved the next day 2 a pool view!! there was loads of entertainment but you need to join in to aprieciate it.the alcohol isnt cheap in the hotel except their own beer which is nice. rooms were cleaned to a high standard everyday and they even fold your pyjamas!! room service is 24 hour and quick (the lamb is lovely, 17dinar!)A few of the staff did struggle with english but you can get by. the hotel is right near the airport and you can see the planes take off this was great the noise was slight and it just added to the whole holiday experience well worth a visit supurb!

Just got home after spending a week at the Thalassa Monistir In Skanes.
The hotel itself was spot on, modern, very clean, friendly staff in all departments, and efficient daily maid service and 24hr room service with realistic prices to match.
The staff however are a little "anal" about guests bringing drinks, snacks etc in from other outlets, so hide them in your rucksack or the "liquid police" will shoot you!!
The food was great and offered a good choice for all nationalities.
The location however was rubbish! The Thalassa is situated on a dual carriageway directly opposite the airport, and although the noise isnt a problem, one feels a little trapped in the evenings as there is nowhere else to go other than the hotel bar or your hotel room.
Entertainment is provided nightly, but it wasnt up to much in my oppinion, although I've got to admit, my idea of what I call "entertainment" isn't bound to be the same as the person next to me. You can get away in the daytime by way of taxi, which are cheap as chips, and visit the nearby towns of Monistir, Sousse, and Port El Kanotoui which offer a well needed change of scenery.

I had one of the best ever holidays here - the weather was fantastic -the food was brilliant and apart from the fact that the French all get the pool view rooms and the Brits get views over wasteland it was superb. The hotel was spotless, the staff delightfull and polite and my 4 year old daughter loved it. we learnt the 'Halila Daub' dance (and I still remember all the moves) and the evening entertainment was great - they did music and daancing after dinner for the kids and then laid on something different every evening outside by the pool for the adults. I would definately go back again
