Stayed at this hotel for one week. Rooms cleaned daily - no problems there.
The meals were ok but in real terms there was little variety and anything longer than a week would have resulted in boredom.
We stayed in the main building with the Restaurant and main pool. The hotel is a couple of miles out of Alanya with a regular Dolmus service on the main road which is quarter mile walk from the hotel - cost 1 lira. The beach is a good 15 minute walk or you can catch the hotel mini-bus but make sure you are on the bus 10-15 mins before it is due to set off. The private beach is very shingly and not really suitable for kids wanting to play in sand.
The staff seemed to me to be a mixed bunch some friendly some not. Service at the bar was hit and miss depending on staff too. Some Turkish Lira were taken from my room but I'll give the benefit of the doubt that they thought it was a tip.
The entertainment was not the best. Little during the day and not much better at night. Bingo, mini-disco with little effort from the 'entertainers'. Pool areas tended to be crowded with little space.
When we got home it struck me that the journey out had, from leaving home to arriving at the hotel, taken over 13 hours which would put me off the hotel/resort for future.
All in all despite my comments above the hotel was actually very good value for money.

We found the hotel and its amenities really good and the staff excellent. The rooms were superb, only problem being they gave us a suite with two double beds which was no good for 3 friends sharing. Our request for a change caused no problem and staff were only too willing to help.
Food at dinner was an experience but if you're willing to try unusual combinations no problem, it would be better if they would serve some traditional turkish food instead of catering mainly for the German guests, however breakfasts were good and lunches and snacks ok.
The location was a bit out of the way and the steep hill was a problem, even though we varied in age from late twenties, thirties and forties. The main problem and the area which was practically non existent was entertainment, one night there was a couple of guys on stage, but none of us could understand what they were doing and heard from other guests that it was usually bit rude.
Also we have never stayed all inclusive before but found the system of all inclusive and ultra all inclusive a bit off putting, the children seemed to get a raw deal as they had to pay for ice cream and there didnt seem to be much else for them.
Overall the holiday was really good and apart from the food and lack of inflight entertainment the flight was good. It took off on time both ways and the staff were ok, except even though baggage came off really quick we seemed to sit on the coach for over and hour and then on top of a 90 min coach trip the driver stopped off for a break.
This meant that after leaving manchester 9pm we didn't arrive at our hotel until until just after 7am local time.

The Orient Palace was spotlessly clean, with excellent staff. The food was good, which for me to say that, as l'm a fussy eater, is excellent, with the added bonus that none of us got Delhi bellie in the full two weeks that we stayed there.
There wasn't really any entertainment but then we went before the season had really got started. We made our own entertainment with the lovely people we met there and had a fantastic time.
There are three pools, the middle one having three slides for the little and big kids!!! The top pool being the most peaceful.
