we were able to take a tram to the old market town, shops and the pretty harbour were plenty of places were available to eat and drink.most of the facilites were very clean and the resort in general was very pretty and pleasant to walk in, although the climate was extremely hot and we were limited to how long we could spend in the heat.the harbour was delightful and we were able to enjoy one of the many boat trips that were available and my husband was able to dive from the boat and swim.the shops were very modern selling a variety of excellent goods and the market was a pleasure to browse around because we were not hassled in anyway. the turkish people were very friendly and relaxed and extremely kind.we were certainly never bored for entertainment because we could always find something to do.the beach area during the evening offered a few outside discos for any age and drinking facilites although there was not any ready cooked food available to buy on the beach.there was however plenty of small shops around selling snack food and drink.i would certainly advise taking a pair of beach shoes because the pebbles on the beach hurt my feet.the sea was also quiet rough and went very deep quiet quickly and so i was not too confident in it.
i would also not recommend taking travellers cheques because we had great difficulty cashing ours because the banks and hotels would not change them.

Lara is a man made resort with luxury 5 star hotels and although their is still building works going on it does not affect the holiday and the beach is great.

resort, well not really its a long road with a long beach and 15 5 * hotels on it all superb quality,so if looking for a bustling resort then dont visit lara, but if you want fine accomadation then they are all up to scratch. This is a developing resort that in a few years might be busier.

On a beach with several other 5 star hotels. Not a lot to do but easy enough to get into Antalya. A lovely area for a relaxing beach holiday.

The resort was fairly clean.

There is no resort entertainment at all. The beach is not fantastic, sharp sand and stoney and the sea not very clear.

The resort or lara beach I didn't get to see much of only the beach because there was no need to leave our hotel as it was all inclusive which I believe are most of the hotels here. The beach was clean and sandy.

Lara Beach itself is only filled with about 10 five star hotels along the beach. The resort is still being developed and will be a main atttraction for visitors in the next few years.
