I can honestly say it is the best hotel I have ever stayed in. The food, cleanliness and above all the staff were absolutley brilliant.
The hotel is situated right on the beach ,which is golden sand and very soft. All watersports except those which are motorised are free. There are three pools, one inside, two outside one of which has three flumes.
The place is spotless and the food is great. Every two weeks there is a Turkish gala night which is fantastic. There are stalls all round the pool selling all kinds of things. There are camel rides, candy floss and the turkish dancers are great. You can eat and drink most of the day if you want. The staff are brilliant especially Bel-Ali the bell boy. If you see him please tell him Mclean was asking for him. I will return to this hotel in September this year and have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to anyone.
Some people are under the impression that this hotel is run for Russians, this is not the case,it is Turkish.
They have two types of all inclusive, one standard and one ultra. The standard you get all local drinks the same as any A/I, the ultra includes international drinks and various other bits and pieces. You can upgrade to this on arrival at the hotel for

During our stay we heard a few of the guests moaning mainly about the food and entertainment, I will address both.
Please remember that this is Turkey. If you are a fussy eater that enjoys plain english food then this place isnt for you. It amazed me how some people moaned about the food but didnt take that into consideration and unfair to say it was awful, it just wasnt to their taste. There was a very good choice of food throughout the day, plenty of salads, stews, a variation of meat, pasta, veg and fruit. It is a good idea to make yourself aware of the times and location of where it is served as soon as you arrive.
Attached to the main restaurant is an open air seating area which offers a different variety from the indoor restaurant and where you can get wine and beer to have with your meal. We weren't aware of this for a few days. It is better if you go to the early sitting for breakfast as there is less choice later.
Cakes are served by at the pool at 5.00pm but again dont leave it too long before you as it appeared they were only served for about 30mins but very enjoyable. Us Brits tend to be very critical over other nations in this case the Russians. As it stated in another review they have paid extra. We made friends with some and they were lovely, it just takes a little effort on both sides!
The cleanliness was first class ranging from the pool areas to the rooms.
The location of the hotel was great being right on the beach but not so good for those who enjoy walking to nearby bars etc everything is too far away. The local village is only a few minutes ride away and we used the tractor/trailer from outside the hotel which was very cheap.
The pools were lovely and the slides kept my 11yr entertained.
The entertainment in the evening wasnt that great although the children appeared to enjoy it. It was done by the animation team and it would have been nice to have seen professional entertainment later evening as you expect from a 5*hotel. There is a disco at 11.00/30 at the bar near the beach.
The activities during the day were fairly good but again it is worth noting whats going off where and when i.e there is a volleyball tournament once a week at 11.00pm (twice a day during the day) and also a basketball tournament at the rear of block 13 of the bungalows at 11.00pm weekly. We may have missed it if our Russian friends hadnt informed us of this.
The hotel staff were friendly but do require a smile to get the best out of them, and in that heat its hardly surprising.
If you have a late flight and are travelling with children bare in mind you may miss the meal times by the time you get to the resort (after 11.45 pm).
We would visit this hotel again and as a single parent I would be happy to visit on my own.
Any trips booked then get as much information from the reps i.e suitable clothing/footwear and the suitablility. Our rep wasnt that forthcoming with this information.

The bungalow rooms are excellent lovely views, very clean.
The gardens are pretty and well attended.
The staff can't do enough for you.
The entertainers and kiddies club are second to non although the evening show after the mini club disco was a bit boring but there was Turkish night and there is a resident donkey and camel.
Nothing much outside the hotel but we did the usual excursions market and a trip on the river boat. My husband and son did do the quad biking and thought it was great in the mountains through rivers excellent.
The slide pool is good and the beach bar is lovely free clean towels every day.
If we got another cheap deal off TV we will gladly go back.

The food was excellent with loads of variety for adults and children at all eating venues.
There was also fresh pancakes available all day and popcorn at certain times of the day too.
The shops on the complex were e3xcellent no hassle from them and they would go out of there way to get anything for you.
There was a tractor that took you into the town of Kadriye where you can find all the shops that you require with a market there too. The tractor is approximately 40p each way.
I would advise everyone to take euros for spending as in this area of Turkey they prefer that and some shops won

The food was fantastic, I have never seen so much choice. You would have to be totally against food to go hungry - it did get a bit repetitive in the second week, but that just made you try different things.
There were just a few hours in the day/night where you couldnt get something to eat or drink. Mini bar in room is well stocked.
Hotel was spotless as were the rooms (we had garden rooms). Three pools, all very clean, but you did have to get there early to beat the russians/germans. If we were late we just went to the beach (just through the grounds) which was beautifully clean and had comfortable beds and parasols (free). Dont take beach towels - they are free!!
The only downside is that there is nothing to do outside the hotel. We did a few trips (which we booked with a local bloke in Kadriye for half the price). Try the white water rafting - great fun for all and a brilliant day out - their were even babies on some of the boats when we went - beware though - water is freezing! One more thing - take Euros!!

The location on the beach was amazing, shame it cant be said for the location of the hotel in relation to Kadriye (WELL OUT OF THE WAY).
The food could have been better not what you expect from a five star but what do yo expect from a hotel run by Russians.
For an all inclusive there wasn't alot of booze to choose from unless you were russian then you could have more choice. You could only have locally produced drinks so can somebody answer why did they have gin from LONDON.
Other than these few problems the hotel was amazing spotlessly clean, majority of staff helpfull tho I don't think some of them know how to smile.

Entertainment was ok, however we felt that all the shows should be performed on a stage to allow everyone to see them without standing up & blocking others views.
Otherwise no complaints the accommodation was great, value for money is excellent & we hope to visit again next year.

It is extremely clean and well maintained.
The food is of an excellent quality but does tend to be repetitive.
The staff in the main are helpful and cheerful.
The entertainment is basic and repetative.
All in all though a good hotel to which we would return.

The hotel food was nice but repetitive and we found the restaurant a bit of a rabble as the hotel became busier - not complaining though, for what we paid we got excellent value for money and would return.

The outdoor pool was freezing and the food was of a very basic and repetitive nature, the hotel will close from December 1st until April this year so each day more and more sunbeds and umbrellas were taken away, restaurant staff were disappearing each day.
It has won awards but in our opinion this is 3 Stars, with a bit of effort it has a good potential and previous guests have returned many times and like it.
We have stayed at Lykia World which is very expensive for drinks but has excellent and varied food so Turkey can offer better, the price we paid was fair for what we got but we wouldn`t return here.
