The resort of Cumyuva..Pronounced Chumyava is situated at the south of Turkey airport of Antalya. nearest towns are Kemer and Tekirova excellent shopping to perfect your bargaining skills. Not too pestered there just be firm.
Cumyua is a small resort which is growing fast although around the Hotel Pashas no building work is taking place It is completed in this area.
Not a lot of entertainment in resort apart form the local bars and restaurants. But quite nice to take a stroll around the shops after Dinner.
The beach is a shingle beach..most are in this area. But the sea is beautifully clear and clean although shelves quite steeply. The same facilities are avaialable on the beach as in the hotels as all hotels have their own section of beach with bars and beds. 2 mins walk form Hotel Pashas.
Yes we would visit resort again it was easy to travel the 20 mins to Kemer and 20 mins to Tekirova by Dolmus which stopped right outside the hotel if you wanted a bit of nightlife or a stroll around the beautiful marina, or to do lots of shopping.

The resort –
This hotel is in Kiris which is about 5 km past Kemer , Kiris is pretty much a purpose built resort with a stretch of shingle beach lined with 5 star hotels , the resort has a small street of shops ( the usual bags , clothes , jewelry etc ) and a few bars and restaurants , it also has a chemist , telephones and banks/cashpoints however there is not much more beyond this which we knew and this suited us down to the ground as we did not plan to leave the complex at all .

Friends have asked us if we liked Turkey? Would'nt know, we did'nt need to go out of the hotel for 2 weeks. The children were happy and so were we!!

The beach is ok, maybe abit shabby looking. The resort itself wasn't too bad a bus service taking you into the main resort of Kemer for shopping. There wasn't alot to do outside the hotel a few bars and resturants but we were all inclusive so didn't go out to eat. There is a street of shops in Goynuk which was a short walk from the Hotel but prices are cheaper in Kemer for T shirts, jeans etc.

Tekirova is pretty non descript and possibly only worth a visit to try out the Saturday morning market.
The shops are either jewellery, clothes or Apple tea and Turkish delight with little else to offer but the worst thing was the hassle.
It was so intense that we felt we had to be rude to get away as it was often quite intimidating. I have worked in Tunisia and thought that knowhere else would compare on that issue but I was very wrong.
I resorted to taxis at bumped up prices to get in and out on the rare occassion I had to so as to limit the problem.

Boring,Boring,Boring!!
We booked a 3 week stay here and had the hotel to ourselves for 4 days, before we contacted our rep and she moved us over to Side (more on that in the Side review) for the rest of our stay. Unless you are in all inclusive....or Russian, forget it.
When we went onto the beach we had to walk for 40 minutes to be able to get off the beach (pebbles and crap) without going through a hotel as the guards won't let you exit through thier hotel.
The place was full of very, very rude Russians and I would not recommend it to my worst enemy. One reviewer likened this place to Lindos in Rhodes!! I suggest that you read that again. Lindos is one of the most beautiful villages in Europe and not one tiny iota like Kemer.

Only local shops here all much the same. We were not told about the Market once a week & only found it by chance. You do have to barter but we seemed to knock them down a lot. Very good for fake designer gear, handbags watches etc all very good quality.
The Turkish people are very friendly and the shopkeepers offer you free raki or beer! By time you have walked down the street you will buy anything!

Because the hotel is so wonderful and the holiday is all inclusive it is only necassary to visit the surrounding resort for shopping. Of course there are all the usual turkish goods ie jewellery and leather goods. Some shopkeepers can be a little annoying but it is possible to pick up bargains. The only complaint I have about the beach is that it is very pebbly so beach shoes are needed.
