Entertainment lasts as long as it takes to realise that they really do think mime is side splittingly funny when being performed by a complete bunch of talentless teletubbies. If the germans etc think it in good taste to reduce the sinking of the Titanic to a ham acted comedy sketch then perhaps one featuring the sinking of the Bismark equally fits the bill.Disco features no more than 4 tunes played end to end unless they know its so bad that anyone in their right mind would have left by then. Would never go anywhere near this resort again in its current form. Going here made us glad to be home.

Very impressed with the cleanliness of the resort,
we never saw any rubbish lying on the paths or roads at anytime the day.
The beach was also kept very clean, even though there were plenty of adults and children down on the beach all day long.
The Enertainment was great for everyone in the day time but could have been 100% better for the adults in the evening.

This not a resort!!It has a horrible little beach with a sort of black shingly sand and maybe 8 shops that drag you in just for daring to look in the window.
A 20 minute or so bus ride(on a jam packed bus!!)will take you to the beautiful resort of Alanya for a couple of lira, but be warned, they are maniac drives and crossing the 3 lane dual carrriageway is a feat in itself..
Entertainment?er, dont think so,the most entertainment I got was watching people go out at 5am to place their towels on the loungers-go anywhere in Turkey, but not here -seriously,you have been warned

Not worth trying to access the hotel's beach area - no chance of getting a sun bed !
No where to safely walk at night - didn't want to risk the main road at the end of the resort road at night, especially after a near fatal crash at the junction on the Tuesday night of our holiday !
I met more hotel security guards while trying to find a safe area to walk - very strange in Turkey not to find anywhere quiet to sit down have a few drinks, chat to the waiters and staff, and watch passers by - there just weren't any - everyone stayed in the hotel complexes in their separate all inclusive areas !
I now realise how good other resorts are that I have been to recently and won't consider an all inclusive deal again - very restrictive !
Beware - very little English is spoken outside of the hotel area. Our little Turkish and phrase books got us by !
Sorry - Konakli - not for me again!

Alanya was nice, beach was pleasant and some stunning views of castle and surrounding area. Some lovely restaurants, although i would warn you to scrutinise your bill as often staff try to charge you extras for things that they say are free or you didnt even have. Wine and most alcoholic drinks quite expensive. The once apparently cheap holiday to Turkey is no more. Most restaurants we visited offered a good standard of food and exceptional service. Be prepared to be hassled by every shop owner, bar/restaurant staff, tour sellers evry time you try to walk down the street. Everyone wants to stop you and ask one question! Keep an eye on your valuables, i was almost robbed 3 times! Bus service cheap and great for getting about to see different areas. Take a big bag as lots to buy if you are prepared to barter. This was our first time to Turkey and will probably return at some point, but next time ill take my boyfrind for protection from the desperate men.

Konakli is a small resort with a few bars and restaurants we only visited at the begining of the season so the place was quiet. There are lots of shops selling bags and clothing which you can barter for but very often you can find them cheaper here. Alanya is very busy and lively but be careful in the bars. they tried to charge us 40 lira for 4 drinks. when we asked for a bill they said they had made a mistake and it was only 24 lira this was in janus bar on the harbour.
The beach was quite dirty with cig ends and my husband would not go in the sea as this was dirty also.

The resort was good, it was clean and had a friendly atmosphere. I don't know how so many people on here can complain about it!
The entertainment in te resort was good very friendly people who treat you as friends! Beach was good lots of sunbeds by it with beach bar and water sports just next to it and a small pier which was fun to jump off.
overall I had an amazing 2 weeks and am already planning to go back next year.

Hello there, me and my boyfriend has booked a last minute holiday to this destination, we booked 5 days before we went so was quickly reading up on reviews to check it out before we got there.
Needless to say we was really not looking forward to our trip after reading the reviews, we even went back into the travel agent to change the hotel but was going to cost us alot of money. So we stuck it out and just waited to see what we got.
When we arrived we was extremely surprised, the place was lovely. The rooms were cleaned daily, fresh bedding and towels daily. Food served from 7am through to gone midnight. The 4 pools are cleaned daily. Pool area cleaned every night. We was so happy we had not changed the hotel.
The food: Although some of it i thought was a bit strange there was always something for everyone. Breakfast was mostly the same everyday but there was such a variety you can eat something different everyday, from fresh fruit to cheese on toast etc etc. Lunch was varied from day to day, but there is a snack bar that serves burgers and chips etc for the fussy kids. and Dinner was also varied so you never get bored, plus the deserts are gorgeous!!!!!! Plus fresh roses are handed to the women by management at dinner. Also soft drinks are available 24hrs around the hotel, wine also is on tap just help yourself. The all inclusive from the bar is limited but usually the local vodka etc is enough!!
The people: Mainly the favorites are the Germans but there are a wide variety of nationalities throughout the resort, but everyone is friendly enough and the Germans usually speak good English.
The Staff: Absolutely fantastic, they couldnt have tried any harder to help you. Some of them do not speak very good English but if you listen to them you can usually understand what they are trying to say. Saying that i dont think i met anyone that doesn't speak no English at all. The waiting staff are the best, they are efficient at meal times and are always walking about and will have a laugh with you. One of the waiters even asked my boyfriend if i could stay over there and he proposed to me....ha ha!!! They are so friendly you just have to laugh at some of them.
The entertainment: Well depends what your sense of humour is like but generally you will enjoy most of the entertainment. They have different themes on everynight. We made quite good friends with the entertainment team who were about all day every day, i would not advise becoming friends with these people. My boyfriend was made to go up on stage and enter the MR Eftalia competition and was made to do silly things like, drink beer with a tea spoon out of a coffee cup, and go around the audience and kiss as many girls as you can etc etc. Then the next night it was my turn, there is no way of getting away either, once they know your name that's it. I was dragged up on stage in front of everyone and the main entertainment guy sat with his arm around me and an umbrella over my head and was singing to me. Next thing i know i heard a thunder storm noise and had the biggest bucket of water over my head.....i was not happy!!! But its all good fun!!
Daily Activities: There is loads to do on a daily basis, they have a timetable to make sure you keep an eye on the time if you want to do something imperticular. It was nice while i was sun bathing and my boyfriend was playing, air riffle, water polo, surfing, darts etc etc etc didn't see him!!!! It is also the entertainment team that run these, so if they know who you are they will find you. But they are only having a laugh and trying to make you have a good holiday.
Location: Its about a 5 min walk to the nearest beach. The beach is lovely the Eftalia have their own section of the beach so you dont have to go back to the hotel everytime you want a drink or something to eat, its all inclusive. Its about a 15 min walk into Konakli which is the biggest market you will ever see. And a short bus ride into Antalya which is the main town, an experience you have to try out.
All in all we had a fantastic holiday, and was so happy we had stayed where we was. We would definitely go back to Turkey again and would not hesitate visiting this hotel again.
Please dont be put off by other reviews you will have a great time no matter your age or size of party.

Konakli is too far out and there is not much around it. The beach is dirty, there is like a bit of waste land by the hotel and it is too far away to walk to a more livelier area.

We did not see a lot on entertainment in Konakli although to be honest we were not looking for it. We were, however, told that a couple of night clubs existed.
Roads were dusty, but then it is a hot country.
Beach was sandy and clean.
