Gumbet is a very popular resort with young people in high season so couldnt understand why the bars had music blasting until after 2 am when at the start of the season most guests were young families and couples.
Take ear plugs just in case!
We found plenty of quiet bars and restaurants,our favourite being Saray Zetas where we ate lunch every day except 2!
We also went here on an evening as it was an Oasis of calm!
The resort is situated on a deep bay with lots of boats moored just off shore.
On the headland are lots of windmills and the view from here is stunning in both directions.
There Dolmus are frequent and we go the green one to Bodrum but came back on the Orange on with Barkadi bay on the front as it is shorter and you get a view of the bay as the bus comes over the headland.
I wouldnt hesitate to go back early or late season.

The hotel was only about 10 minutes from 'Bar Street' I found the resort to have everything you would want whilst on holiday, but the beach is nothing to write home about, so if you are a beach person this wouldent be the resort for you.. The people are friendly.

Bodrum is a smashing place to visit,it is clean and safe and very friendly, but belizia is a good 10 mins drive to budrum with nothing inbetween,except wonderful views,
we will visit bodrum again because it is very nice and has some fantastic hotels, but Belizia is not one of them.

the beach must be one of the worst ever as it is full of stones and rocks.the water is not very clean and if it was not for the weather then it would fall well short in any review.the hassel you get at night from people trying to get you to bye things or get you in to their place becomes unbearable.my advice is if you are young and like a wild drunken time then gumbet will suit you down to the ground.

Every day I witnessed the shop keepers, bar and restaurant owners cleaning the paths outside their premises, as well as daily rubbish collections.
There are plenty of bars and shops stretched from one end of Gumbet to the other. Although the sand on Gumbet beach is not the best I have seen there are more than enough sunbeds, umbrellas and shelters to go around and I will be definitely going back.

When outside of our hotel around bodrum we were greeted with friendly and great service. We were treated as very important guests. I would go back to Bodrum.

Unfortunately, everything in Bodrum seemed to be closed while we were there!Only a few bars and restaurants and no nightclub. The beaches were gravelly and very small so we stayed at our hotel to sunbathe. As a female I also found the local men very intimidating as they would literally stop and stare as I walked down the road. I definitely wouldn't have felt safe on my own.
