Highly recommended, this complex is a great choice for a family holiday, with a kids club to keep your little ones entertained. Situated at the far end of Gumbet Bay, it is an ideal base and is within easy reach of Gumbet and Bodrum resort centres.

I will start off with the very few bad points, we found a couple of cockroaches in our apartment but the reception sent some one up to sort it out as soon as we asked them and we didnt have a problem since. The Food from the restaurant wasn't particurlarly delicious but the waiters
looked after us and worked very hard.

Enough of the bad stuff, lets have the good stuff-
I personally befriended 2 of the barmen and regularly keep in touch with one of them, so if anyone visits the bottom pool (nearest reception) before the end of September please say 'Hi' to Heredot/Sedat. The beach is
about a 2 minute walk away from the hotel and on the beach you will find lots of activities to do, such as:
para-sailing, jet-skiing, bannana boats and boat trips!

The transfer from Bodrum airport to Gumbet is good only takes about 40 minutes. Arrived in the early hours, checked in quickly and porter took our cases to room.

Jasmin has 3 swimming pools, the main one at reception is quite big and noisy, pool is 1.4 metres deep and a smaller kids pool about 0.4 metres deep. Plenty of sunbeds and chairs to go round, although after 11.00 you may not get a sunbed.

A smaller poool is located further into the complex, quite small again 1.4 m deep and a smaller kids pool 0.14 m deep. Much quieter and sunbeds are normally all booked by about 10.00. A small bar and shop is also here.

Another pool near the Narcissus block is high up,no shade whatsoever, small bar and a few sunbeds.

Jasmin has extensive gardens throughout which are well looked after, lots of colour palm trees etc which give plenty of shade particularly in the older blocks at ground level.

Rooms are a bit basic but clean, the furniture in the older blocks looks like its been around since the eighties. Good showers, but remember to pack your own toliet roll, you only get a pack twice a week.

Location is brilliant, a gentle stroll to town takes about 10 minutes, the beach is about 3 minutes away. try walking a little further along the front, where the beach does get better.

You can hire air conditioning at

Jasmin Apts are a relitively big complex with no lift! If situated on the top floor at the back of the resort expect a 5-10 min walk through stairs and gardens to get out of the complex -bear this in mind if children and elderly are going, it can be a taxing stroll in the heat! The view however from these rooms (of the harbour and bay) is something that one wakes up from dreaming about i.e. its breath taking and is worth the exertion mentioned. Dont bother shopping in the hotel shop unless you must -its expensive. Take a trip on the efficent and inexpensive Dolmus (local busses which pick up right outside Jasmin) to supermarket and stock up for duration. (These busses are an experience of turkish culture alone). My advice travel light in general going to turkey. Forget toiletries, and an abundance of clothes. You will get these things there (although men bring your own shaver/razar the turks must endure nothing but pain every morning with the standard of shavers over there). In fact many people, lured by the cheap shopping there, find they buy an extra bag or case to carry shopping home. Loads of people got caught for excessive weight in the airport homeward bound. Restaurant in Jasmin fine. Bit basic but the staff are great. Watch out for mosquitos and ants which infest the botanical garden-like ambience of Jasmin. We had to call doctor one night due to swollen ankles from bites. Again with kids/elderly this could spoil things.

Well what can i say, Gumbet and The Jasmin were brilliant, one of the best ive stayed in. When we got back from the jasmin at the end of June we were all completely gutted, as im somewhat over my gutted stage here goes with the review.

The Jasmin Studio's are some of the best that ive ever been to We stayed in the newly built Narcissus block (we stayed in 755 and that was brillant. The rooms are new, air con, lovely kitchen with 2 ring hob, kettle, toaster (which is unusual) and all the other things that you'd expect. Lovely bathroom with full size bath and the best power shower ive ever had. decoration is nice and you get 3 plastic chairs to go on the amply big enough balcony. Beds weren't the softest but then when are beds really comfy on holidays.

The pools at the Jasmin as really nice. The top pool seamed to be a nicer pool with less children round it which we found good.

This was our first time in Turkey. We didnt know what to expect but loved it straight away. The Jasmin Studios were lovely, we were in the new part. The Bar Staff were friendly and comical, everyone loved them, they would dance behind the bar.Nice clean pool and lovely sunbathing area beside the pool and bar.

We arrived at hotel Jasmin 14th May 2007 and left 21st May 2007.

Hotel Jasmin was very clean and had beautiful gardens surrounding the hotel. I had a studio apartment which was lovely well kept and spacoius. We always had clean bed linen and towels.

We didnt eat at hotel because there so many restaurants to choose from.Location was great we were only 10 minute walk into town where the nite life was buzzing. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Entertainment was good there was a variety of things on each nite.

I would go back to the Jasmin because its family oriented very chilled and relaxing not noisy.

My wife and I stayed in the Jasmin apartments in 2003 and what a time we had.On arrival at the apartments(5:30am)we were checked in very speedily as we were all ready to get a few hours sleep and helped with our baggage to our rooms by a porter, who incidentally picked our bags up for the return flight. When we got to our rooms I must admit thet did seem a bit out of date and basic but we bit the bullet and gave it a chance. It wasn't until about 9:30 that morning that we realised they had put us in one of the rooms by the main pool and to our annoyance the music in that bar went on at full blast,by the way it didn't stop on the morning of our arrival until 6:30.

Don't get me wrong I#'m not trying to put anyone off, we LOVED the place but there has to be some down side to every holiday for an honest report.Anyway thats the moaning done. After 2 days of trying to live with the noise we saw our rep who sorted us out a new room that day and what a delight it was, clean, modern, good self catering facilitied and quiet when we liked it to be.

The facilitied are good at the Jasmin with three pols of varying types, the main 'family' pool is just behind reception and quite large and looked clean although we never actually used it.The top pool is on top of one of the blocks of apartments and this is a nice large pool very clean and new,it is also one of the most safe pools I have seen in my travels but that is probably cos it was brand new last year. The final pool and our favourite was the 'middle' pool, although this was the smallest pool we found a nice family atmosphere here, you see the same faces and get to know everyone, something we find important on our holidays. There are four bars in total selling a wide range of drinks although if you are an archers fan like my wife then take plenty of readies with you cos imported drinks are a criminal price here. The bar staff are amazing considering the lllooonnngggg working hours they have and I couldn't say a big enough thanks to Hassan and Ayhan at the middle pool bar who made everyones time there the best.

Our rooms got cleaned everyday with fresh towels and bedding changes twice weekly by friendly and courteous staff.Anyway thats enough from me.If I wa sto give an overall score for The Jasmin I would have to say 10/10.(Ps bak there 26/7/2004 Can't wait !!)
