Location
The rooms are basic but clean and tidy.
Excellent for getting into the local town of Gumbet or jump on the bus in Bodrum only a pound but well worth it.
Entertainment is a good laugh, it's hard to say a lot about this hotel and its staff they go out of their way to greet you on arrival and even until the time of departure.
This is one hotel you have to visit, just be quick to book early or you have no chance unless cancellations come up.
Looking forward to visiting them all again in Sept 05

The appartments are in two's ,we were in room 222, on the top, right next to the main pool, we had lovely views, from the back door we had the sea and the front the main pool area and bars etc, the rooms must be the original rooms, they were vary tired looking but to be honest it serve its purpose, we let the boys have the bedroom, but i must tell you the sofa beds were killers, the most uncomfatable thing i have ever had to sleep on, we requested more pillows, and we got them the next day.
lots of storage spaces for clothes, i never used the cooking rings at all , i never intended do, but you got a nice size frige, our shower wasn't excellent but again it served its purpose, i think the further you went back on the resort the more modern the rooms were,on the 3 day my son noticed a trail of ants coming out of the plug socket, we let it , not really worring about it, but one morning, our table top was covered in ants, we went down and saw the reception, and with in 5 minuts some one came out , looking like some one from, ghost busters and delt with it, we never had any more problems after that.
the rooms are cleaned every 3 days, but the paper bin in the loo and kitchen bins were empted evey day, the rooms were cleaned right trough on those days given you clean towels and sheets. i took extra toilet rolls because i read it here, and i am glad i did, you only got rolls when the rooms were done, we got air conditioning in the bedrooms, which was great for the boys but we were so hot in main living room, it seam pointless, reading trough the other comments i am now wondering if we were able to get fans, i wish i knew this because i would have certainly got one, i would have them been able to shout the balcany doors on the night (more about this later) no problems in saving your sun beds, even though one man went down to save 7 or more and he was told only 4,
The hotel gardens and pool area were 100%, all day the young lads around the pool were cleaning up wrappers and bottles.
every morning the floor area was cleaned.
THE DOWNSIDE OF THE POOL.
The footballs in the pool should be banned i did put this on my comment sheet, i haven't got no problems with the soft balls but some of the lads playing with the balls were yong men and went that ball hit you unexspectely it hurt i got hit 3 times whislt sun bathing and endless times in the pool,in the end i refused to even pass back the ball, ignoring it so they had to get out of the pool to get it, i know this all depends on what kind of guest is with you on your weeks.
first day at the pool, my boys were told to take off their t.shirts in the pool i fumming with all the hype going on abut sunburn i just couldn't beleave this was going on, not just my boys but all ages, in the end i went to see the tour rep who explained that with the colour t'shirts the dye was coming out and was doing things to the water, they decided that white t.shirts was fine. but this isn't advatised any where.
Hotel food was fine it wasn't big meals but enogh for dinner, we never tried the evening meal.
The hotel shop was basic, we got bread, jam and cheese , i wouldn't fuss in going to a super market to get any thing cheaper it got suncreams, sweets, heinze beans, toiletery items, etc.
Location i thought was great, my husband got a bad leg and he manage the small walk every day into the main centre, in fact every day it seamed shorter, .
Hotel staff was excellent, hotel reception, pool staff, bar staff and resturant staff, cleaning staff, couldn't ask for a more friendly group
Entertainent was so so we done the turkish night, but my boys wouldn't eat the food,
The BAD Points
The only bad points was the noise, we were right opposite the bar, which stayed open as long as drinks were being brought, i kidd you not that it was so noisy the first 3 days were were naturally tired any way and fell a sleep , but as the days went on, 4.30 untill 5am most nights, if the bar did close it was groups of people who sat around on the sunbeds drinking and just being loud, my boys are 11 and 14,cope with it, they were with the air conditioning so the balcany doors could be shut, i think any one with younger children will find this a big issue, the ones on my side all the 2's, were not only subject to the front bars noise but was also subjected to the back sports bar and the other hotel noise so we had it all round, this is my biggest issue, if i knew that we could have hired fans we would have been able to shut the doors and had a good nights sleep.

Having read reports on here about the noise at night we were quite worried when our rooms 812 and 813 looked out at the bar and resturant, but I can honestly say that we were never kept awake by any noise at all. Our children in our party were 6 9 and 13 and none of them had any problems with sleeping through noise.
The rooms have double glazing and as long as you purchase air conditioning you will be fine.
The grounds are kept very clean and tidy and are hosed down every morning.
We had no problems with mosquitos at all because of the pretty grounds.
Pool was cleaned every day.
Hotel staff were very friendly.
Food in main restaurant was mainly very good apart from once when our breakfast was stone cold and we sent it back and asked for a replacement. The replacement was our original heated back up as, I still had the ketchup on the plate, so I refused it as I didn't think it was acceptable to reheat it.
I haven't awarded many stars on entertainment as we didn't stay for any as we went out to the resort and were so tired we were in bed by 12am!
Would we use these apartments again? Definately!

The hotel food was nice but we never stayed in for food we went out to the Mistral on the beach front where kids under ten eat free with a bottle of wine for free. I always went the Mistral because the food was gorgeous and staff were polite.
The location of the hotel was really good only 5 min walk from the hotel to the beach.
The hotel staff were brill they like too have jokes and mess around ha.
The entertainment was good but I can't say because we never watched it.
I would visit this hotel again as we are going back in September 2005.next year will be the 4th year running to the Jasmin.

We had a 1-bed apartment in the Narcissus block, which had a very large bedroom, 2 full size sofa beds and 2 balconies. The apartment was quite clean although the bathroom was a little sad looking. That said it had the most powerful shower I think I've ever tried.
The hotel is a little out of the way, about 10 min walk from town. It's advertised as being near to the beach and it is, however it's only really suitable for water sports (of which there are many) as it's quite grubby and shingled.
The staff at this complex are very pleasant and were always very polite (in our experience). There are security men patrolling the complex at night who wish you a good evening as you go out or goodnight as you return. The gardens were superb with lots of flowers, fruit and veg and were tended by many gardeners. We were talking to a man we thought was a gardener one day, he said that if we wished we may help ourselves to the fruit and veg. It turned out he wasn't a gardener he was the hotel owner, I guess he must like looking after gardens!!
I would recommend anyone going to Gumbet to go Self Catering. We ate at a different restaurant every night and didn't have a bad meal. We had 2 meals that I would describe as ordinary (The Windmill and at The Dream Girls Show) and the rest were great. As well as being good the food was also very cheap, our most expensive meal was 90 million TL (approx
