Location
We have been to many places in Turkey but I have to say that this is one of the best. The location is perfect and you do not have to go very far from the hotel as everything you could possibly want is right on the door step weather it's the beach and restaurants at the back of the hotel or the bars and shops at the front. The staff in the hotel are all very helpful and really friendly especially the lads in the beach bar.
The rooms are clean and bedding and towels are changed daily and if your lucky the cleaner will do a pretty design on your bed with the sheets and petals.
To be honest we didn't use the half board restaurant, but the restaurants around Gumbet are all very nice and reasonably priced (approx

Rooms were clean(we moved after two nights to a room with a better view, management were very accomodating).Turkish breakfast with salads, cereal, toast, and just about anything you could want for breakfast, evening dinner was ok,but nothing to shout about, as there was always something on the menu to keep you happy.
The location of the hotel is superb, having been to Turkey numerous times I can safely say this is one of the best located hotels we have found.Staff were very friendly and waited up to say cheerio at the end of our hols.
Entertainment was very good and included in the price.
Would certainly consider another holiday to the Parkim Palas

The hotel is set in a stunning garden, with flowers, banana plants, shrubs, lemon trees, cats and even a family of tortoise. The pool was large and with plenty of sun loungers. This environment made for a wonderful setting.
The location of the hotel is superb, right in the centre of Gumbet. Beach is at back of hotel, main street at front door. Two dolmus stops nearby. Easy walk to bar street, shops, and restaurants. Every thing is at the hotel or close by. However it was not noisy, and very relaxing in the grounds or by the pool.
All the staff can speak English. They are very helpful and friendly, from the cleaners to the reception area. They made you welcome and couldn't do enough for you.
The rooms were very clean, bedding and towels changed daily. Our balcony opened onto the picturesque garden. There was free air conditioning too. The mini bar was over priced, so we just refilled it with drinks bought from the shop across the street, and they never knew.
Food was fine, if somewhat limited in choice of evening meal dishes rather than the quality of them. What we ate in the hotel was OK, but often we took advantage of the hotels guests 30% discount. In the Park Steak Restaurant great food deal with a 3 course steak meal and wine for

The room was cleaned every day and new sheets and towels provided. We didn't get any nice towel arrangements on our beds that we've read about so this was a bit dissapointing.
Air con was excellent, in fact we had to switch it off in the night cos it got too cold lol. It is remote control too so you don't have to get up to switch it on or off or to change any settings.
The balcony view was nice into the gardens and there is a family of Tortoise that come out regularly, some are tiny babies and some big grown up ones, they were nice to watch and the kids loved them.
Beware of the travel company however trying to tell you that the cost of calls using this hotel phones are expensive, this is simply not true and is used to get you to but their own phone cards to make money out of you. The calls from this hotel back to the UK were suprisingly cheap. We made some calls and the average cost was aroud 35 lira cents which is about 14p per minute. So a 3 minute call to a landline in the UK would cost only 1 lira, (Around 40p). The system in the hotel is all electronic and tells you what number you dialled at what time, for what duration and the cost of it. You can pay off some of your tab at any time during your holiday, just give reception your room number and as for a statement of your charges. Thaey use a system called TOM, this is a tag on your room key, they can swipe it when you buy drinks or food from the restaurants and bars and it goes onto your room tab to pay when you want. Saves you taking too much money out with you if staying around the hotel at night.
There are safes in your rooms using a PIN, these cost around

We receive e mails and post cards at Christmas from the hotel management.
The rooms have been upgraded June 07 and are spot on our room in Sept had a large spa bath under the window looking out across the bay this made every evening getting ready special along with the help from the mini bar in the room which you are not overcharged for.
Food not that great but if you eat in any of the three restaurants in the hotel you can get a discount card rooms are cleaned every day with clean towels.

We had a lovely large room with spacious bathroom, balcony, air con, fridge and TV. Maids were lovely and did a good job.
The pool was a good size and there were shaded areas around the pool too. There were hammocks in the middle of the complex on the grass which were nice to relax in. Lots of tropical looking plants around the area.
Food was really good and staff very helpful and friendly. Entertainment was good on a night, had break dancers, belly dancers, sword show (that I ended up taking part in!) and dancing competitions, all free.
Walk to the end of the pool and the beach was right there, next to the pool bar and icecream stall.

Room was spacious and very clean, towels and bedding changed daily and spread with fresh flowers beautiful.
Reception staff very helpful.
It was end of season when we went so food was awful, chicken, chicken, chicken. Only restaurant let it down, it was my birthday while I was there, and reception staff sent me wine and, fruit with their compliments.
Pool area very clean with waiter service at lunch time, drinks & food.
Central and backs right on the beach great for everyone.

Entertainment at night was ok it depended on what was on that night sometimes it was good but if you didn't like that and you wanted to go some were else there were plenty of places to go.
I was really dreading the food at this hotel but it was really really nice even if you did have to queue up for it it didn't take long. Had a fantastic holiday Gumbet itself is a beutiful resort and we would definitely come back to this hotel

We have the staff helpful and friendly.
The food reasonable with plenty of choice each evening.
The room was cleaned and the towels changed every day and the room althrough basic served the purpose, even if the pillows were hard. The free air con was great as the night temp did not go below 25deg while we were there.
The staff could not have been better, very friendly and helpful and all tried to speak English. (what a shame we British don't try harder to speak their lanaugue)
All in all a great holiday and we will go back some time in the future.

The food in the hotel was really nice, plenty on offer both morning & night.
Rooms were a bit small but very clean & the hair dryer in the bathroom came in handy.
The hotel staff were more than helpful, they couldnt do enough for you, no matter what time of the day it was, they were very friendly, we became good friends with everyone who worked there.
The entertainment was very good it was over by 1 which was good for anyone with children.
Although we went to the beach everyday there was always plenty of sunbeds at the pool. The gardens around the hotel are beautiful but watch out for the tiny frogs.
We are booking to go back in October we enjoyed it that much!
