I just got back from Kusadasi and we had a brilliant holiday!!
I was really apprehensive after hearing about the bombs,I almost cancelled the holiday but im glad I didnt.
Terrorism could happen anywhere and I think that a lot of Brits have been scared away,its such a shame because the Turkish people are lovely and Kusadasi is a beautiful place.

Kusadasi is a popular cruise ship port and when the big ships come in the prices go up and the exchange rate goes down.
You can go nowhere without hassle from traders and local Turkish holidaymakers seem to dump there rubbish anywhere, not really surprising as they dont seem to have waste bins in Turkey.
The beaches are diverse, sand, pebbles, plastic bottles and corn cobs! Which is a shame as the water is a lovely shade of blue. Entertainment was really down to what the cafe bars put on and most of it was cheesy but us foreigners love it really.
Belly dancing, Turkish spoon dancing! and waiters stripping off their shirts and dancing to anything. I really have no desire to return to Kusadasi but relocate the Carina apartments to another part of Turkey and Who knows?

Being All-Inclusive we tended to stay at the hotel, we did eat out a couple of times in Kusudasi, and had a very enjoyable evening, 15 of us visited Molly Molone's in Bar street, where we had a three course meal with drinks and this came to £170.
Bar street is very busy of an evening with music blaring.
During the day we went shopping, and the streets were very clean, we often saw street sweepers.
Do haggle in the shops and markets its great fun and expected.
We never went to any other beaches as the Tusan had its own private beach, this was kept very clean, if you got up early enough you would see them sweeping the sand.
Kusadasi is a lovely resort and I would have no hesitation in going back.

The only thing I disliked about Turkey was the shopping. It is impossible to browse and you get fed up saying no thank you. All this said we did get some very good bargains.

The resort of Kusadasi itself was quite interesting; there were many trips to do at a reasonable price. However, taxi drivers were very quick to over charge the tourists. Local buses were very cheap and frequent.
Turkish people in general are very friendly, but harrass you to buy all the time, which can get very annoying!

Kusadasi was a very busy resort with many markets and restaurants. When we visited we found it lively and fun. We didn't stay on the beaches as our hotel had a great beach, but they looked fine.

Kusadasi is not what I expected. It is not what I would describe as a "Pretty" place. The people are excellent. They are so friendly, but very touchy feely.
We met some great people, especially in the United Bar (excellent food!).
Bar Street is great for a night out, but I would advise that you go with the Turks, they look after you and you don't get ripped off that way.
The pestering to buy or go into the restaurants can get a bit annoying. They all remember you, so if you say tomorrow then they expect to see you tomorrow.
Go on the boat trip. Excellent value. We always book our trips independently because it's cheeper and in Kusadasi there are plenty of excursion shops. Barter for everything except food in restaurants!
