As I said before there was no reason to venture out of the complex as there was so much to see and do on Site. Judging by the journey in we were a little out in the sticks anyhow. Coach then swapped to a minibus, driving up lots of dirt tracks before finally arriving - so didn't really fancy venturing back out. You don't need to anyhow as everything you need is on Site - it is massive! If you are going you'll love it and won't want to come back!! Can't wait to return!!

Fethiye is a fast growing large Turkish town, lots of shops and bars with two weekly markets also a nice base to explore the whole coastline.Well worth a visit.

we liked fethiye , good for shopping they have a d&p perfume shops which has all the brands of perfume at fantastic prices around £4.60 for 50 mls, a nice marina and yachting area, lovely views, only about 8 miles from the lovely olu deniz and about an hour from dalaman airport. the resort was clean and we would consider returning there one day, plenty of boat trips or trips to dalyan etc can be taken from fethiye and day trips to rhodes too

Compared to last year, things have gone downhill a bit. The balconies have been removed which was a real blow. The First Choice rep, Richard was the most unhelpful and ignorant rep I have ever met and he understands English only when it suits him. I will never use First Choice again because of him. The Guest relations staff were useless, last year Barbara (on the animation team this year) was perfect and everyone loved her bright and cheery disposition but this year we had to put up with two females who were more interested in how their nails looked than how the holidaymakers were getting on.
Cleanliness as last year was first class. The food was not as varied as last year unfortunately.
They closed the outside restaurants when it was cloudy and said it was due to rain...even when there was no rain ! The Fantasia was closed and it looked like they were closing down for the season earlier than they should have.
I would go back again but not for quite a few years.

Hisaronu is up in the mountain above Olu Deniz and there is something to do for everyone there! The 2 neighbouring resorts (Olu and Fethiye) offer different attractions and are within easy reach by taxi or dolmus (to be honest we found the taxis more convenient and almost as cheap, some are even open to bartering!)
The paragliders coming down from the mountain onto the beach are a sight to behold, as is the lagoon at Olu. Can also recommend the 12 islands boat trip, swimming at each stop, a full day including lunch for about a tenner each.
The rubber shoes on sale are a good idea at Olu Deniz as the beach is large pebbles on the entrance to the beautiful, crystal clear sea, the rest of it is sand and is backed by some really nice bars and restaurants ideally placed for catching a stunning sunset.
I will be back without a shadow of a doubt!

Absolutely wonderful resort set on a beautiful peninsula with fantastic views. We actually could not find any fault with anything. A real first class holiday and we will certainly be visiting there again next year if not sooner.

Lovely harbour town, plenty of bars and restaurants. Huge market weekly. Need to get boat to Chalis beach for serious sunbathing,

This is a lovely Turkish town which is not just geared up for holidaymakers but the local people too.
There is a long promenade which has hundreds of boats along where you can book your trips from. We went on the 12 island boat trip which only cost 6 pounds each lunch was included but drinks weren't. Becareful as these we farly expensive if you drink spirits or wine beer was cheap as were soft drinks but that was it.
We also did a trip to Daylan which was a great day out this cost us 12 pounds including lunch, you went to the mud bathes (great fun) and come out feeling 10 years younger. Then you cruised down the Daylan delta to see the Lycian rock tombs and then down to turtle beach which was lovely.
On Tuesdays there is a local market which is excellent and good fun too we spent far to much.
There are no beaches in Fethiye itself but you can easily go to Calis beach nearby or Olu Deniz our hotel had its own beach so we were ok.

Only travelled into Fethiye twice. A nice village but needs a bit of a clean up/modernisation.
