Worth paying all inclusive for the drinks, but not the food. Expect to eat out occasionally.
Best rooms: Ground floor, facing the pool.

Second time to Hisaronu - would certainly visit again - 10 minute drive by Dolmus to the picturesque "Blue Lagoon" in Olu Deniz. Numerous excursions available from the resort and would certainly recommend many of them. This year visited in October - would recommend going slightly earlier (September ideal) as many of the restaurants had already closed for end of season, although still loads of genuine fake bargains to be had.
All in all - a wonderful resort in a fantastic area.

Hisaronu seemed a lovely place to visit at this time of year with nice shops and frinedly locals and none of the harrasment you get at Fethyie.
It was about a 10 minute Dolmus (mini bus) ride to the beach at Olu Deniz which is well worth a visit and only 7 Lira for the three of us. Less then £3.
Talk of the Town show in Hisaronu is a must. A drag show which is family friendly and hilarious. My 9 year old lovely singing along to Mary Poppins and laughing at Mary Popping on Red Bull a must see!
Be careful on the roads as they can be dangerous if you dont stick to the side and you may end up diving out the way of crazy drivers! You can get Dolmuses to almost anywhere.
They has the name on the front where they are going and you just stop it with your arm and hop on. Cheapest way to travel.
Hamish Mc Turk booked all our excursions including swimming with Dolphins, Paragliding and Jeep Safari all being a must. Don't believe the horror stories the reps tell you about booking with local companies as the truth is they are much cheaper then any Travel Agency excursions with lots of local companies to choose from.
Focus is Olu Deniz were also excellent and their Boat Trip was better then the 12 Island one we went on. Horse riding on minature Turkish horses was hilarious as my boyfriend is 6'2 and was only just off the ground but the 3 hour trek over the mountains was fantastic but make sure you take refreshments as there are none on route!
Olu Deniz beach was by far the nicest sea and a must is to take Snorkel equipment with you. The amount you see under the sea really makes the holiday that bit more special and if you save bread the fish eat out your hand if your patient enough!
Be careful on boat trips of not wandering too far though as they're not the most observant people almost stranding us snorkelling at a cove!
The nicest sandy beach was all the way at Dalyan, but the smooth fish tank type pebbles on the beach dont cause much problem if you wear rubber type beach shoes available at most shops around Olu Deniz resort.
Also a must is to note some basic Turkish greetings such as Merhaba being hello. You will be greeted much friendlier by the locals if you show some interest (or at least pretend to know like me!) We only stayed 7 days but there is soo much more we could have seen and done and we went on excursions every day of the 7 days we were there!
Also exchange rate is better at Post Office in Britain then anywhere else we found! Most inclusive lunch deals were choice of fish or chicken and omlette if your vegetarian like me or extra pasta!!!
Drinks always cost extra and are quite costly on excursions so be careful especially on boat trips!!! Take a small currency converter and even though most places take english money you get a better deal with Turkish Lira so it is worth changing most of your moneyas no one likes paying the tax man with credit apparently!
Not that many places accepted Credit except for major Tour Operators or Restaurant so be careful if your trying to have a holiday on plastic! Learnt this the hard way!!!
Overall Hisaronu, Olu Deniz and Fethyie region exceeded my expectations of somewhere like Turkey I thought to be quite third worldish in my ignorance but some islands were like the Carribean and seas beautiful!
One couple had been to Turkey 13 times to all different parts and said this was definately their top choice if you travel around a little to discover these beautiful places. People that stay in their Hotels miss soo much!!!
I would come back again in a heartbeat if I had a higher credit card limit!!!

We have been to Hisaronu six times and are going back may 2007 and september 2007. this is the only time we have returned to the same place and hopefully continue to do so. the Turkish people are really nice and very friendly and welcoming. they will go out of there way to help you. Our favourite place ever. our favourite bar in hisaronu is aloha it used to be big break but it unfortunatley closed. hopefully it will be open this year. we would advise anyone to go to this resort as we think it is the best!!!!!!

Hisaronu - home!
This is a lovely resort - 2 days and everyone knows you by name. Go back in 6 months time and they still know your name, and remember your family too. It always feels strange to hear yourself being called by name when you walk down the street!
There is a great variety of trips and days out - talk to Ihsan at Eren Rent a Car (Seaside Tours - not far from where the dolmus turns round, towards the ciflik hotel) He'll sort you out for some good trips and he's not as pushy as some and is genuinely a really nice kid.
There are loads of bars and places to dance the night away. One of my favourites is the Efes bar where the bar staff put on some unusual entertainment -it has to be seen to be believed!
One last thing - don't miss going to the turkish bath - have the works, go as early in your holiday as you can, that way you'll have time to go again, you'll want to!
