Worth paying all inclusive for the drinks, but not the food. Expect to eat out occasionally.
Best rooms: Ground floor, facing the pool.

As being up in the mountains there is a presence of mosquitos so take antihistamines a week before to prepare you. I did not get bit but my freinds and partner did and went septic. The local doctor charges £41 for and injection and to clean these wounds. You are located 1000 metres from the beach and 300 metres from hisaronu nightlife. Bring only English money as everything is in pounds and they do not like there own money as the strength of the pound.
There are many trips available for the full day including lunch from £5. Watch the bars as they do not give you change unless you ask for it and for a vodka and coke costs from £1.20 past £6.00 so be careful where you go. For exported spirits this is considerably higher. Good entertainment for all and is very safe as the roads are shut for pedestrains only. Pay after each drink as if you build up a tab who knows what they may charge you! One place my bills changed 3 times for a single rounds as he tried pulling my leg twice.
If you are female you need to keep your wits about you as the follow you and try it on at all times. Even when I went to the toilet they would tell my partner how pretty she is and whether she wants to stay there. As long as you keep your wits about you, you will have a great time.

I absolutely love Hisaronu! A lovely town with everything you need in it Shops, bars and restaurants all in one town! Everyone there is very friendly but sadly you do get the usual harassment of local traders but where don't you! Cheap and cheerful, can't wait to go back and see everyone!

Hisaronu is growing year by year. In 2006, it was twice the size it was 6 years ago. Therefore, it has sadly, lost it's 'village' appeal. This is an unfortunate side-effect of tourism. There is however a lot of entertainment within the resort - shops, lots of restaurants, plenty of bars and 1 or 2 clubs (try Zombie). The bars are often cafes by day, bars by night. The standard of food is very good in the resort.
There is no beach in Hisaronu. You need to get a bus to Olu Deniz - 5 mins ride away. Buses are called "Dolmus" which is pronounced Dolmush. The beach is beautiful and the blue lagoon at one end of the beach is protected/maintained for future generations. A small entrance fee is payable to the blue lagoon (less than £1). Well worth a visit.
There are plenty of cashpoints in the resort. The police come through the town at midnight and make sure that the bars close the doors & keep the noise down. There is a good supermarket in the resort. It is called Azda, would you believe it?! Plenty of other supermarkets around, just smaller and more pricy.
There are many tour agencies in the resort who will arrange various trips and excursions for you. We found it was always cheaper to use these guys than your travel Rep. Ephesus is well worth a visit (Roman city) but it is a long way away (810 km round trip). If is often combined with a trip to Pamukkale - natural calcium pools. The tour agencies tend stretch the truth and they will tell you that it is only 2 hours drive away - don't believe them! The service stations that we stopped at for breakfast/lunch on the first day were not very good. I would recommend taking some imodium or your own packed lunch! On return journey, the hotel food was much better. I wouldn't recommend taking kids on this excursion, it is too long and they would probably drive you mad.
On the day you arrive, I recommend that you have a turkish bath (sauna, loofah/scrub & clean). Costs £7-10, depending on where you go. Whilst you are there, splash out another £8 and have a back massage. Very relaxing and best of all, your skin is prepared for your tan.
Save your change for the bus. The Dolmus is basically a mini bus and is the cheapest method of transport. Taxis are not needed in this resort unless you have any less mobile folk in your party. Five lira will get 2 people to most places on the bus (about £1.70).

Hisaranu is a great resort, plenty of variation, either eating quietly, good bars and great people.
Easy to get to Olu Deniz beach or Blue Lagoon although it is a bit shingly it still is clean and well serviced.

We went on a jeep safari which was wet and wild - take plenty of sweets for the local children! We also done the 12 islands excursion which was lovely and we went to see the old ghost town, fetiya market trip.
Don't book with tour operator if you want to save money great prices in town remember to haggle!
The beaches in Turkey are a bit disappointing as they are not sandy and water's quite rough .
Turkey was on average cheap although people was saying we were in the more expensive part of Turkey. As a family we would go again as there is a lot more things to do and see but time just ran out!
