Location
The restaurant/bar had a very informal feel and it is absolutely fine to pop by for lunch, have the odd drink or lounge by the pool. The food is excellent and I would recommened any of the dishes on the menu, but particularly the salted fish.
This is the first time I have visited Icmeler, but the location of the hotel was perfect, being close to the beach, convenience shops, bars, restaurants and other facilities.
The starkest difference from the previous reviews is the fantastis staff who now work at the Elif hotel and bar/restaurant. They are some of the friendliest and most helpful people I have ever met on a holiday and have an excellent raport with guests and each other. The entertainment is 'spontaneous', just through general chit chat, playing in the pool, drinking at the bar or getting dragged up to dance. The Turkish night was excellent and crammed full of very talented people who put on a great show. The staff have worked extremely hard to turn the place around and the superb atmosphere they create is what made our holiday.
All in all, this has been one of the best holidays I have had and I would recommend this hotel to anyone. It is ideal for friends, couples and families, young or old. I just wish I was still there for another week!

Room basic but clean. Bathroom could do with a make over but sheets & towels clean and changed regurly. Fantastic seaview from our balcony and free air con.
The breakfast was a typical Turkish affair with eggs, cheese, meat, bread tea etc, and all very edible .The staff were very helpful & friendly.
Sergio the beach boy is mad, never still and always happy (loud as well). Beach beds free of charge with waiter service from hotel,
My first time to Icmeler and would definately go again (maybe even this year). No hassle just friendly banter from the restaurants and bar touts.
Try the Love Boat(best steak ever)& The Lighthouse restaurant, must be the best in Icmeler. Marios near the harbour are always good for a cold beer and friendly staff.
Oh and shop till you drop!!!!

The bar/restaurant in front of the hotel is independently owned and you have to walk through to go in and out as we had read before our trip that the bar staff was aggressive we were weary of them at first but gave them a chance and after having a few beers there and a couple of meals there, which I must say were the food was spot on!!!
We found them o.k. went to there Turkish night as it

The rooms were big with a double bed and two single beds, the bathroom was only small but it done the job, over all a nice hotel but i would not recommend that anybody stay here if they want to feel comfortable and safe.
Our trouble started when we were bullied and intimidated into booking for turkish night at the Elif reataurant, we gave them a deposit but cancelled it at the last minute (they kept the deposit), they didnt like this and the next day two of the restaurant staff confronted me and my niece on our way into the hotel (only one entrance/exit through the restaurant), they were very rude and intimidating, shouting in our faces and demanding that we pay 30 pounds each for a meal that we never even ordered.
One guy thought it ammusing to walk around me in a circle making threatening hand gestures in my face and swearing at me.
We did not feel comfortable staying at Elif after that and i would not recommend it to anybody .

They we all nice to us at first but when we refused to stay, and missed their Turkish Night (to watch the England Match) the staff and the Manager started to get abusive to us, angry at us and aggressive towards my two felmale friends, which we didn't like and they / we started to get scared, they threaten us, shouting words to us we kill you, watch your back, in the end we complained to our Airtours Rep, who had a word with the Manager, then it all stopped, but it still spolied our Holiday never the less, and we felt we were being watched, and talked about everytime we came and went.
Icmeler, is a Bill location to Holiday there, good resort, lots to do, good location to the beach, good for eating out, Three Bells is a good place to eat, The Moonlight (facing the Rainbow, onced called the Lion Bar last year), they good places to go, for good food, also try the Stella Show, have you in tears good entertainment, also the Yorkshire English Chippy is a good place to eat, located justed pass the Three Bells, going North.
My Party of 3, mostly visted the Deja Vu Bar because it was good, and we knew friends from last year, (from the Lion) located in Icmeler Old Village a 20 minute walk or 10 Lira (

The hotel is very echoey and every movement by other people can be heard, the breakfast is a joke!! dirty cups, no bread, no eggs, ants running all over your feet, and to top it off the day we came home i found cockroaches in the downstairs toilets. Filthy and disgusting and would NEVER return to this hotel.

ok now the bad stuff. the hotel has a bar that is leased to a second party the people who run this place are down right abusive, nasty.forceful in ur face. these people absolutely ruined our holiday we are home and glad this has spoiled our icmeler dream there are many many wonderful people and places and take away this bar and staff and i could not praise the hotel highly enough but for the that one reason i would not return to this hotel you could put a pin in a map and find a better place to stay sorry.
