I have just come back from the Grand Aquarium, lovely hotel nice and clean.

First night we went to their Turkish night I was good but the staff were all over my 15 year old sister it was all too much for her so we didnt go there again.

You only get 1 toilet roll to last 4 of us all week!! It is about 25 minutes walk to the centre so be prepared to pay for taxi or bus, the shop wasnt all that cheap, and you had to pay for air con.

There is also nothing to do in the 2nd week for children and there was no t.v. the rep??? well as for him we only saw him on the bus when we arrived!!!

We planned tours with a lady we know if it wasnt 4 her we would have been all bored!!!! The staff didnt talk much to us at hotel (were all adults).

Ive been to Icmeler before and stayed in a 2 star friendly hotel, I would have jumped at the chance to go back there...

The hotel we stayed in was vey beautiful and certainly very clean the rooms were cleaned everyday, but with the hotel only being self catering it worked out a bit expensive as we were used to going on all inclusive holidays.

The food wasnt very nice but its only a 10 minuite walk into the villiage as the grand aquarium is based in the old village.

Brill apartments, very clean, rooms a little on the small side, but how long are you in your room!

Jay Jay,Nemo and the rest of the entertainers were brilliant made the holiday, and the Turkish night is a must.

Treat yourself to a turkish bath when you arrive, they were 8 adults in our party and we all had one, total bliss! The 6 kids were never out of the pool, which was spotless and the water-slide brill.

All the staff were very friendly we were on first name terms after a few days!l Lots of tears when we left we felt like royalty everyone waving us off!

We got back to England this morning and have already got the post-holiday blues. The Grand Aquarium is a fantastic and extremely clean hotel. After the long transfer from Dalaman airport (2 hours) we orginally felt that the hotel was out of the way in the mountains but after we found our feet the Dolmus (local bus) was only 1.5 Lira (70p) per person into Icemeler or as there was 4 of us we found that the taxis which were parked in the hotel car park would accept 5 Lira after bartering to take you. If you walked it would take approx 25 minutes and to be honest it is a nice walk.

All the hotel staff are so friendly they cant do enough for you. Although we never stayed in the hotel on a night time we did not see any of the nightly hotel entertainment, but this is advertised on the noticeboard there is a mini-disco at 8.30 for half an hour then actvities such as a Turkish night, Karoke, impression night, etc.

The pool is very nice with a twice daily waterslide at 10.45 and 2.45. The only complaint i had was that my son picked up an ear infection and after discussing this with some of the other residents I later found out that there was quite a few complaints to the rep of children picking up ear infections, but this did not spoil our holiday as after a trip to the chemist he was put on antibiotics and ear drops.

The rooms although small, are cleaned to an excellent standard. The maids come into your room and make beautiful patterns with your towels, with rose petals and one day she made a doll using our clothes, towels and jewellery it was outstanding.

The only daily entertainment apart from the waterslide is at 10am you get woken up by a recording singing "Good Morning" to you, at 11am they play killer darts with the losers having to dive into the pool, at 2pm the guys dance to various songs, including "Whatsup", it is so funny as everyone around the pool gets up to join in. At 3pm they play adult water polo which if you are sunbathing behind the goals can be a bit annoying as the ball comes at you, at 3.30pm the children play water polo then at 4pm they play killer pool, which is 5 lira to partake and you can win money as the prize.

The hotel operate a watch system which when you arrive at the hotel you have to pay a 5 Lira deposit and put money onto the watch this means that anything (apart from playing on the pool table) is chargable to your watch. This is a really good idea as all you need to take to the pool or restaurant is your velcro watch and you are not messing around with your purse. Everytime you buy something you receive a receipt with your balance on.

Just returned home from grand aqaurium, it is the best holiday our family have had, all the staff were as friendly and helpful, the entertainment was also fabulous.

The rooms were cleaned every day we especialy liked how the towels were placed on the beds as flowers and dolls.

The food was great everything about this hotel is great can not fault it on anything, we will definetly be returning.

We stayed in the Grand Aquarium apartments, which is about a twenty minute walk away from the more busier town centre. You can jump onto a Dolmus, or indeed into a taxi if you are in a hurry to reach the main town. We were more than happy to take a pleasant stroll at our leisure.

The apartments and indeed the whole Grand Aquarium complex, are kept immaculately clean. For a family of five the apartment was a little on the small side. Having said that we did not go to Turkey to stay in the rooms all day.

There is an excellent choice of food available, and the staff, were always helpful and friedly. A big thank-you to the entertainment staff at the complex - Mehmmet, J.J. Hassan and Rico. These guy's worked day and night, arranging and taking part in the the entertainment programme.

Grand aquarium is the best resort I have ever been to. My children really enjoyed the dances with the entertainment team who were great and made this a very memorable holiday.

The food was excellent and the staff in the restaurant are so helpful and they are wonderful people especially mohammed ali who was so good to my son who really misses him.

The rooms are spotless as is the whole complex. Have recommmed this hotel to others as it is the best holiday we have ever had.

I think that the Grand Aquarium apartments are very clean at all times. Even though it is a good 20 minuites walk into the center it is a very nice walk you can walk 3 different ways to get to the center. You can walk one way which takes you into the really old town where all the Turkish people live, you can walk stright down the middle and go past all the bars or you can walk down and past the new apartments that have just been built.

I would give it 10 out of 10

We had heard so many good things about this hotel but until we got there we did not believe it. Thankfully everything was true.

The hotel was fantastic, the waiters would not stop until you where happy always doing things for you if needed. Then to top it off our room was everything we expected, with a great view. PLUS the maids made different shapes with are towels every day (flowers, butterflys etc).

What made the holiday so so good was the entertainment staff, Gem, Nemo, Jay-Jay, Hasan, Unur they made our holiday and everyone elses especially with the WAZZ UP song (dont ask wait until you get there).

You cannot fault this hotel, we have only been back a day and we are looking to book for next year because it was the best holiday ever.
