my wife and I have stayed at the pinewood for the last 10 years and we finnd it more than adaquit with the cleaners they've been there for years very polite. the food at the hotel is probabley the best you'l get in icmeler everything is fresh everyday and you can watch them cock it.we like the location as its peacefull not to loud like all the other bars down the road,you get all the children round the pool doing their thing all day so night time is great,all the staff from the owners to josef to the cleaners and down to basat the young boy who keeps all the beers in the fridge and cleans all hours of the day and he's only 16 years old ,could do with abit of entertainment but that would spoil this place. if people want a turkish night just ask ibriaham and he will do it if there's enough interst.i've just booked and we will be back for our 2 weeks in august 08 see you all once again,THANKS FOR A GREAT HOLIDAY AGAIN.

My boyfriend and I stayed at these apartments last year and we absolutely loved it!! It was the first time we had been to Turkey and it will definitely not be the last!

The apartments are self catering and the food here is very nice, however, we did tend to eat out most nights. The nicest place that we found was the Wayside, lovely people and brilliant food! Also try the Loveboat near the canal! There are so many good quality places to eat out, you are spoilt for choice!

The apartments are very clean (the rooms are cleaned everyday)! Didn't have one problem with the rooms, thought they were very practical. Don't tend to spend much time in them anyway!

The trips are amazing! There are plenty of stall holders arranging trips so shop around before booking, however, they are really cheap whoever you go to! We went to Cleopatra Island and it was beautiful! Just don't miss the boat back, like we did!!

The beach is about a 15min walk, which is not bad when you have a great market to walk past on the way!!

All in all this was a fantastic holiday for us and we are booking up to go again next year! Will definitely recommend these apartments!!

We decided to book these apartments purely on the brilliant write ups it had received on this web site and we were not disappointed.

Everyone raved about it and to be honest, it is easy to understand why.

The owners, Ibrahim and Simra are lovely people and very 'hands on'. Always around to ensure you are happy at all times.

The guys who work there, around the pool and eating area are so friendly, attentive and very polite. Big Hi to Arif who kept us topped up with the lovely freshly squeezed orange juice drinks every day.

We have given it 5 stars in every rating because it deserves it.

We stayed in room 64 which is in the building not overlooking the pool and it was lovely. To be honest the rooms overlooking the pool are lovely and you dont get lots of noise in any event.

Although the rooms are not large, they are extremely clean and tidy and very well kept.

The location for us was ideal, about 10 minutes walk to the beach maximum.

Would we go again and stay at the Pinewood?

We met people there on the week we visited who were staying there for the 9th and 5th year running respectively.

I thought these apartments were too far out. It was a real drag to go anywhere and the dolmus does not go out there so it was taxis all the time.

As for quiet I don't think so, there was a lot of noise fronm the pool and restaurant bar with constant irritating music non stop. Many of the guests chose to use other swimming pools because of the hard plastic beds with no cushions we met many of them in the Sahin Palace pool.

The apartments were very very basic and you had to move the bed to get into the wardrobe as the bedroom was tiny. They were very clean. We were lucky as we had aircon in the bedroom, many who had the unit in the living area said it was unbearable. At

We stayed at the Pinewood Apts in June 07 and we have no complaints. We are a young couple - both 27. It is your typical self catering accomodation and is suitable for anyone. The rooms were very clean with a nice balcony overlooking the pool area. It was predominantly an English hotel, and to be honest you would have thought there were Germans staying as unfortunately there was still the issue with people reserving sunbeds by the pool at 6am! Its not too bad though, sometimes you just have to think "if you can't beat them join them" and set your alarm nice and early!

There is one bar in the complex which was perfect for stopping for a drink just before heading into Icmeler. The staff were excellent and the price of the food and drinks were normal, plus they allow you to set up a tab on your room so you don't have to worry about carring cash on you all the time. The bar provided snack food in the daytime and also evening meals but we never sampled these. We did however partake in an evening BBQ one evening and unfortunately this was a bit of a let down but only because of the portion sizes and the lack of atmosphere. The truth is most people who go to this type of place will eat out at other restaurants every night so there isn't going to be lots of atmosphere in a such a small complex. We often ate by the pool for breakfast and lunch and this is your usual pizza, burgers, chips etc and fry-ups for breakfast - just what you needed.

The pool was always clean and it was never that busy. The only thing I would say is that there isn't a seperate kids pool and you can find yourself getting splashed if they choose to start bombing into the water.

As for the apartments being quite far from the centre of Icmeler, it is probably about 10 minutes walk but there are bars and restaurants scattered along the way that you can stop at if you can't wait that long. We thought it was quite a nice walk on the way back from the restaurants and bars as it gave you chance to walk off your food.

The hotel is pretty perfect for anyone - couples, families, groups. I would probably say that it wouldn't really suit singles but only because it is a bit secluded.

All in all, the Pinewood apartments are of a really good standard. I wouldn't return, only because I like to try different places every year, not because there was anything wrong with it. If anyone is planning on going then I would definitely say that you have booked a good place and that you won't be disappointed.

One more thing - for any animal lovers out there, make sure you seek out The Waterfall restaurant, there is a small animal section with chicks, rabbits, guinea pigs and tortoises - so sweet!

Located near enough to centre of Icmeler to walk and far enough away to avoid any noise.

The staff are all friendly and helpful,like most people in Turkey,the apartments have a reasonable sized balcony,the usual 2 ring hotplate and a proper kettle.

Entertainment is nonexistant possibly do with a quiz night or bingo nothing too noisy as that would spoil the peace and quiet which is one of the main reasons for selecting this apartment.

The pool though it looks small compared to some was never crowded,the main pool is between 1450cm and 1600cm deep with a childrens pool next to it the conection between the two under the bridge is barred off both sides.The gardens are kept very tidy and clean.

I personally would not take anybody with more than light/medium walking difficulties to this site but only because of the steps.

Rooms are basic but very clean. We stayed here in May this year and the apartments are the same as then brilliant from the owners to the maids can not do enough for you.

The area around the pool and the gardens are kept very neat and tidy.

The location is brilliant because just outside the main town. Why it said in the brochure not suitable for people with walking difficulties I cannot understand, there are some steps.

The staff are excellent Joeseph Arif and Ynis (Eddy)are so good they can not do enough for you.

The food is the best around and the prices are so reasonable try the Turkish specials.

Once again another wounderful holiday at pine wood. we have been there 9 times and have booked to go again next year, what more can I say. every where is so clean the rooms , arround the pool, the food is exellent with plenty of it, you would never go hungry.

The staff are very friendly and can not do enough for you. We always ate turkish food but you can have what ever you like. Can not wait till next year to come so we can be in Turkey again
