Have to try Tommy's bar (2 minutes over the road) - fantastic food and service - Also Meryhem (a 10 minute walk towards square) is absolutely the best if you like local cuisine - try the mixed meze starter - WoW!

Plenty of lovely restaurants close by, and depending if you like Boom Boom bars or places for a chill drink, everything is on your doorstep, but doesn't interfere with your sleep.

Compared to Marmaris it was quieter, but there was an option to go to the busier places if wanted. We went for a quiet break and stayed in the Old village, but the nights we fancied a bit of a boogie or some music/entertainment it only took 5-10 mins walk.
Would highly recommend the Meyzen & Gino Resturant, friendly staff, not pushy, amazing food and live music on set evenings.
If we wanted to go to Marmaris for the nightlife it only took 10minutes on the local orange dolmus which cost 2lira (approx 80p)

This is our 4th holiday at Icmelar. The resort is extremely clean (even the wee side streets!!) The selection of restaurants, snack bars and nightly entertainment is excellent. If you don't like the sight of huge buildings, gaudy shops and hordes of people, Icmelar is the restort to visit. The only high buildings are along the front. We stay in the older part of the town where you can see the mountains that surround Icmelar from any vantage point. It is tranquil but if you want lively it's only a 10min walk into the town centre. We don't use the beach but have walked along it and it is kept very clean and the beach attendants are very friendly. We have always had a brilliant time in Icmelar and this year, once again we weren't disappointed.

Icemeler is as clean as can be expected for a resort of this size, comparing well with bigger resorts in Spain etc. Loads to do around the town with Turkish Baths, Shaves, shops and Nail/hair treatments for the ladies. All bar staff work hard at making sure everyone enjoys.Plenty of shows involving the bar staff. Although some of the staff front of house can still be a little pushy its not too aggressive or in your face. We would def go back,Buffulo Karaoke, Venice, Richards Place, Pop in for fun. Tin tins, Mandolin, Babadon Apts, Charlies for good food at a veryy good price.

Icmeler is a lovely and clean resort. There is plenty to do for everyone...we particularly enjoyed the quad bike safari. There is lots of night time entertainment and the Stella show is very funny. We visited Icmeler several years ago and were pleased to find that it had not changed dramatically sine our last visit.

palm gardens is only 5 min walk away to town where you can find plenty to do. loads of good places to eat and drink and to dance the night away. markets are good but don't pay the first price they tell you always half it. beach is about 10 mins away but you do get alot of hassle from the people that work there, we only went once. we will be going back to nthe same appartments again can't wait to rebook.

Icmeler is a friendly resort with lots going on until the early hours for those who require it. There was a lot of entertainment and choice of restaurants, bars etc. The beach is shingle rather than sand but provides good foot massage and is not hot to walk on.
There were plenty of sun loungers available with shade at the beach reasonably priced at 2.5YTL each per day. Local bars come round the beach so you dont have to venture from your lounger to get a drink/ ice cream etc.
The staff trying to get you into their particular venue or stall can be a little over zealous but they back off if you just give a polite no thank you.
There are 2 sides to the town and I was fortunate enough to find the quieter side of the resort with traditional sea front bars which give you great views of the main strip whilst enjoying local music and entertainment.
I would definitely vist Icmeler again and look forward to my next holiday there, gurusharuz!

Resort of Icmeler is very picturesque with many many shops bars and restaurants (too many infact, as you can't get around them all :))
Very clean, free sunbeds on the beach altough beach is shingle.
Would definately visit again, so much so I am already trying to find a bargain holiday for end of September :)

The resort was lovely. There was no litter at all and everywhere appeared well looked after. The beaches were very good. And with plenty of sunloungers to choose from you could spend everyday with a different view. There were plenty of bars and restaurants to choose from. All meals we had were fantastic with cocktails to die for. The people were very friendly and despite frequently being coaxed into going into the restaurants you never felt like they were too pushy. The evenings were filled with music. And we got to experience the belly dancers. Music turns down at midnight but there were clubs around if that was what you fancied. It catered for all ages very well.

Icmeler is an ideal resort for a laid back, relaxing beach holiday.
