My daughter and I booked a last minute A/I holiday to Turkey (neither of us had holidayed in Turkey before). I did a bit of research before I booked about resorts, hotels and location. Manzara seemed the best choice at the price. We went the week before school hols. Location re. veiws are fabulous. The hotel grounds are beautiful, grapevines, flowerbeds and surrounding hillsides. The hotel grows most of its own salad and vegetables.
Local beach is a bit of a trek even though it is all down hill, beach is very pebbely and water quite lively too rough for children. Dolmus bus passes every 10 mins or so down to beach. Hotel arranges free bus transfer to Sugar Beach (private beach) which is ideal for children and costs the same as the public beach re sunbeds/shades,drinks and food.
The maid visited us twice during the week but then we are quite tidy (well I am!)
Food was very Turkish with loads of very fresh salads and veg, which we were happy about.
The bar staff had obviously had a few pep talks during the week re english drinking too much. Most people only drank alcoholic drinks during the evening due to the extreme heat so it was a bit annoying that the staff were querying alcohol consumption during the evening, we were on holiday afterall! BTW closing time for A/I drinks is 11.00pm.
There was only entertainment on a Saturday evening, a belly dancer from Sheffield and the chef did a bit of fire eating!
Luckily the holiday makers there during our week were a very friendly lot (hi Andrea) and we had a great laugh, or maybe it was because the english just drink too much!
Ideal for a couples/adults holiday may have problems getting the kids to eat (no chips, pizza, fishfingers etc.)
Bar, pool and restuarant up stairs or quite a steep slope so not really suitable people with mobility restictions.
We really enjoyed our week and would go back for the same price.

Of all the years I have been to Turkey this year it let me down. I will not be returning to the Manzara. I went out with my partner and our 1 year old daughter.

The Hotels location is up a mountain. As for people with disabled its a no-no steps everywhere.

The food was diabolical. No variety of all. If you love rice chicken and pasta you will be fine as this is all thats on offer dinner and tea. Breakfast - turkish so dont expect a full english.

The staff were brilliant but the hotel let them down. Then during the second week I came down with a stomach bug complete with diarrhoea then my daughter the day after.

It has been over 2 weeks since we returned and my daughter still has it. Took her to the doctors and after giving a stool sample turns out she has caught rodo virus and salmonella. She had omlettes for breakfast so that says it all. Worst holiday to Turkey.

Don't let this put you off Olu Deniz as the place is lovely I just will not be returning to this hotel ever again.

Its not really all inclusive just full board with drinks as you can't have snacks throughout the day and no ice cream.

we booked our tickets last minute and i was worried about the hotel once we came to dalaman airport there was no one to take us to the hotel because they forgot about us so we took a taxi and it cost us 130tl turkish money, anyway soo when we arrived there the receptionist was sleeping and we had to wait for him to wake up. the pool is so small and the bar workers didnt even do there jobs all they done was staring at girls.. they cleaned the rooms every 2 days and the bed sheets are old and has been stiched a few times. the food was sooooo nice it was the best thing. there is an little market outside the hotel and the prices are soo high dont bover buying anyfing from there just go to a supermarket much cheaper. the owners of the hotel are so nice and welcoming but they dont really no english but its ok. ders an entertainment every saturdays (belly dancing) but shes rubbish real turkish belly dancing is different. overall the hotel is nice for a 3 star hotel :D and it is CLEAN.

Location of hotel was excellent with view across olu deniz bay. This is on a steep mountain hillside with lots of steps at hotel and 1 mile from centre. 95% of clients are english. Traditional hotel service, staff very friendly, english speaking, helpful and worked as a team in excellent manner. Good interpersonal skills, entertaining and good all-round atmoshphere. Room was basic - not important to us, comfortable bed, air conditioning (additional at reasonable cost) and room cleaned daily. Good sized swimming pool and terrace for sunbathing. Beautiful garden with home grown produce. Food menu and service is 1st class, every meal we had was excellent in presentation and taste. Good links with bus service and holiday rep is helpful with information. We would definitely book again!

Maid service every day rooms kept clean and towels, bed changed every two days.

Staff always cleaning public areas. Bed & brekfast basic Turkish style plus tea & coffee as many as you want. If you want a cooked breakfast you have to pay.

Located half way up a steep hill next to main road. the hotrl is on a three tier style basis.pool, bar, resterant on top stairs or ramp down to reception and a few appartments. Small walk through grape vines down eight steps to main set of appartments which are two story.

Staff very helpful but English not so hot communication a bit hard. First time having English tourists so not much entertainment as yet.

Hotel scenary absolutly beautiful and hotel grounds really nice. Not much choice for breakfast ended up paying extra for a better breakfast most days. Restraunt up 3 flights of steps not good if like me you have a problem with joints. also location not idea for anyone other than fit people although the local dolmus was a god send.

Hotel not ready for credit or debit cards, we tried to pay our bar bill at the end of the week with credit card only to be told they do not have the machines to deal with it. We had to go through every pocket and bag we had to pay the bar bill, Thankfully we just about had enough money with 10 Lira to spare ( no where near enough to get a drink at the airport)

No clean bedding or towels all week
Won't be back

This was our first time in Turkey and we couldn't have had a friendlier hotel.

Staff were excellent.

Rooms basic but cool.

Food was lovely.

Gorgeous view, wonderfull fruit growing in the gardens, which the non English speaking lady gave us every day. would love to go back this year.

We paid for B&B but when we got there we realised that all the Polish/Turkish holiday makers were all inclusive. We enquired about doing this and after some bartering! We agreed a price.

Staying here its a good idea to go all inclusive as the hotel is half way up the mountain from Olu Deniz and there are no local shops to get lunch. Food is available to buy from the hotel but we found it easier to pay for all in advance.

The hotel being on the side of the mountain has fabulous views and is of course not near any noise. There are lots of steps to get to the breakfasat room/pool so disabled people would not be recommeded to stay here.

During breakfast we watched aubergine's being harvested which we had for dinner that evening, whilst there was little choice in the food, what we had was tasty, appetising and filling and of course, completely fresh!

The room was nothing special but as we don't spend much time in there this was not an issue, it was a standard Turkish room but boy what a view over the bay!!!

Extra points have to be given for waking up and seeing such a fabulous view down to the bay of Olu Deniz. Staff were very friendly and would do anything for you.

There was a folk show one evening which was very good (not your usual tourist rubbish). However, most evenings there is just the bar with a large TV (though the bar tender did tend to favour setting the channel to football!).

There are some board games available, a snooker table and a table tennis table. Throughout the whole of the hotel grounds there are grapes growing everywhere which offer both fruit and shade. I would definately stay here again without hesitation.
